Chapter 79: Chapter 79
Sarah
I looked around the hotel room, searching for my phone somewhere, as I needed to know the exact time. When I couldn't find it anywhere, I moved in the bed, trying to get up and look for the device.
"Where do you think you're going?" Kael asked, pressing me closer to his body.
I tried to be strong and resist because, in the morning, everything was different and became quite real, but Kael rubbed his body against mine, giving me a taste of the hard and delightfully unsettling bulge against my buttocks, and my thoughts became cloudy.
"I need to get up, Kael," I explained.
My voice came out strangled, sensations spreading through my body as he continued with his maddening movements with his hands, which were now between my legs, and I really couldn't think coherently anymore.
"You'll... later."
We were naked under the sheets, and Kael easily gained access to my intimacy, teasing my clit and taking me to a fantastic orgasm that left me completely weak.
After achieving his goal of numbing my senses, he lay back on the mattress and asked me to straddle him, and I promptly complied with his request, sitting on him and riding with great enthusiasm.
He pulled me by the hair so that I brought my face closer to his and attacked my mouth in another hungry kiss that crushed my lips, biting them.
"I can't stay away from you anymore, Sarah," he said, returning to kissing me passionately.
Those words served as fuel, as I was once again reaching another powerful orgasm. Soon, Kael followed suit, as his entire body tensed, and he held me roughly, gripping my waist and pulling my hair even harder.
"All mine!" he exclaimed, giving my butt a sharp slap, which elicited a satisfied moan and desire from my lips.
We fell together again on the mattress, our breaths fast, our bodies sweaty, and the smell of sex intensifying everything we had just done. Kael embraced me, his hands now delicately caressing my hair, very different from the rough and rude man he was when we were having sex.
Not that I was complaining, quite the opposite. I really like the way Kael has rough sex, and it always manages to make me even hornier, giving me unlimited pleasure.
"I really have to go, Kael," I said softly.
He made me face him so that we could look at each other as we talked.
"I want you to come back to Seattle with me," he said in a tone of voice that brooked no refusal.
"Do you want me to stay in your apartment, just waiting for the moment when you decide you want to see me, is that it?" I asked with bitterness in my voice.
"I love you, Sarah, and I want you with me," he said, his gaze turning hard, and all his arrogance returning to his expression.
"No, Kael," I refused. "That alone is not enough."
"I'm offering you my love, Sarah," he insisted. "What more can you want from me?"
If this was a moment of revelations and all or nothing, I went in search of everything. I wouldn't just be the woman he kept hidden in his penthouse, serving him only for moments of pleasure.
"I want a place in your life, Kael."
He seemed to absorb the words, but he was reflecting deeply on them because his response seemed to take an eternity, while I anxiously awaited it.
"I need some time to sort out some pending matters, and as soon as I can do that, I can offer you what you want."
My heart skipped a beat, and I was afraid it might not beat again, given the shock of the concession that this arrogant and self-assured man was making. But the truth is, without this, I couldn't move forward, so if it wasn't the way I wanted, it wouldn't be the way he really wanted either.
"All right, then," I said.
Soon, his mouth was on mine again, his maddening kisses robbing me of the ability to think clearly, and I allowed myself to be carried away, at least for a few minutes.
Reality set in when I heard the sound I used as the alarm clock music, indicating that it was already seven o'clock in the morning, and I needed to get up.
"I have to go," I said again.
"You don't need to anymore," Kael contested, and I looked at him inquiringly. "You will come back with me to the United States. You don't need to go to work anymore."
I looked at him anxiously because it seemed we hadn't really reached an understanding.
"I'm not going back to Seattle," I warned, and his expression changed completely, becoming heavy.
"We just talked about this, Sarah," he insisted. "You're coming with me."
Despite my desire to be with Kael, I knew my limits and the needs of my heart well. I knew that being with him only on some nights of pleasure didn't satisfy my quest for true love and affection. Even though he said he loved me, words alone weren't enough. I needed him to prove that feeling and not just want me when it was convenient for him.
We stared at each other as if we were in a competition, trying to hold our positions firm. However, seeing Rachel leave with Enrico, or rather, Enrico leaving with Rachel without even asking if I really wanted to stay at the nightclub with Kael, something important became clear to me. I learned that I couldn't let myself be carried away by the will of others anymore and that, in the end, I could only rely on myself.

Kael
I confessed my feelings to Sarah, professed my love, and promised that once I sorted out some pending matters, I could offer her what she desired. However, even with all those words, it wasn't enough to convince her to accompany me back to Seattle.
It's confusing how someone can claim to love me but not want to be by my side. Reluctantly, I complied with her wishes and let her go to focus on her precious work, which seemed to be above everything, even our mutual feelings.
This situation weighed heavily on my mind and disrupted my concentration throughout the day. I inwardly thanked having the assistance of Ryan, an efficient and detail-oriented assistant, who made the negotiation with the Italian racing team less complicated.
