Chapter 25: Chapter 25

Athan Buffay's words left me scratching my head. I turned around and looked at him blankly: "What did you say?"

"I said," he sat up and looked at me: "Will you leave me."

I didn't understand the meaning of his words, and I stood there not knowing how to answer. Athan Buffay continued: "If I told you, you don't need to pay for that dress, and you don't need to stay with me, I will still save your husband. Will you leave immediately?"

His question caught me off guard, and I froze. Seeing that I didn't answer for a long time, Athan Buffay stood up. He asked again with a gloomy expression: "Have you fallen in love with Jack?"

"I... I don't know." I felt a strange feeling in my heart, I don't know why I wanted him to stop looking at me with those sad eyes, but I didn't know what to say...

Just as I hesitated, Athan Buffay jumped out of bed, walked up to me, lifted my chin and kissed me. His lips were soft and cold, his tongue aggressively invaded my mouth, and his big hand pushed my back so I had to get close to him. That strange feeling came again, and I felt more and more attraction in him, which made me addicted to his kisses...

After a long time, he let go of me, who could barely breathe.

He turned around, didn’t look at me.

"I'll give you one night to decide." Athan Buffay spoke again, he walked to the door and opened the door, turning slightly sideways. His handsome face was still angular under the moonlight, but for some reason it was bleak.

"If you figure out the answer tomorrow morning, you can leave here at any time. But from the moment you decide to leave, you will never see me again."

I listened to the sound of him closing the door and touched the lips that he had just kissed. The efficacy of the previous drug should have passed, but for some reason, I am more nostalgic for the intimacy with him...

I sat back on the bed, thinking over and over a thousand times of Athan Buffay’s words. He just said, I don't have to pay for the skirt, and he will save Jack without having to stay here. This should be a good thing, I should start packing my bags and leave this man right now! But for some reason, I hesitated. Am I really able to never see him again?

Just then, there was a knock on the door. I opened the door and it was Markus. "Miss Katherine, are you feeling better?"

I nodded, and Markus handed me a folder.

"Here is an agreement, Mr. Buffay wants me to inform you that you need to make a decision to after reading it, and if you’ve decided to leave, you shoould sign it. However I should warn you, as long as you sign it, you can guarantee that your husband will get the treatment he deserves, but at the same time, you will never see Mr. Buffay ever again.”

I took the folder and thanked Markus, and I saw his face was full of worry: "Please consider carefully, Katherine."

I watched Markus leave, and my heart felt heavy.

It was late at night, but I couldn't sleep. This should clearly be a simple decision, but I have never hesitated so much. Lying on the bed, I looked at the silver moon and told my thoughts to the goddess of the moon in my heart.

Suddenly, a silver moonlight illuminated my bedroom, and a figure in a white dress appeared in front of my eyes out of thin air. It turned out to be the moon goddess!

"Katherine, my child." She smiled at me and said slowly, "You are facing the most important decision in your life. Do you want to follow fate and continue your life as a werewolf, or do you want to go back out there and live a normal human life?"

Suddenly, her figure flashed and transformed into a female werewolf! She has purple pupils and a sturdy body. She shouted to me, "Katherine, this is your destiny, haven't you found out yet?"

I wanted to ask questions, but the werewolf just disappeared. I rushed to the spot where I just saw them, and there was nothing there. My heart aches, tears started pouring out of my eyes unstoppable...

I opened my eyes, it turned out to be a dream...

I walked to the window sill, it was just a little light in the sky. I opened the window and let the cool night wind blow my long hair. Vaguely, I saw a figure running wildly. The man ran and jumped, and his strong body was very flexible. Suddenly, the man looked up at my window, his eyes gleaming gold. I was separated from him by the moonlight and the layers of fog, as if separated by an unbreakable bondage.

For a split second, I thought about my kids, and Jack. They are the ones who need me the most, and I have sworn to protect my family. I know that they are all looking forward to my return at the moment, and for me, their wishes have long been greater than mine.

I looked out the window again and Athan Buffay was long gone.

Early the next morning, I dragged a small suitcase to his door. I knocked on the door lightly and said, "Athan, thank you for taking care of me during these past days. I've made my decision, I should get going now. Please take care."

I waited for a while, but there was no response behind the door. I put the signed agreement lightly on the floor by his door, took the elevator downstairs and walked out the gate of the villa.

Goodbye, Athan Buffay.
