Archer POV

I was fuming in anger inside. Eating together with this kind of family makes me want to puke.

His father whose too thick a face and has no shame always talking about money even though we're eating.

Is this family really real?

I fake a cough and I narrow my eyes to him enough to make him silent.

"Son! Do you play golf? "

"No!"

I played golf but I don't want to play with him. I just want him to know that I don't like him. And how dare he call me son.

That woman just only keeps her head down. Like she does not exist in the room.

"Xavier how about we hang out together sometime. " Her step-sister.

Oh, I forgot. Her step-sister sitting beside me keeps throwing herself at me. What is wrong with this family??

"No thanks!" I said don't bother to look at her

She put her hand on my thigh and went in an upward way. I look at her and I narrow my eyes to her.

But the woman just batted her eyelashes and bit sinfully her lower lips like she's trying to seduce me.

I grab her hand and sway it away forcefully.

I look into the woman opposite me. But no! She's still not paying attention to us. Her head is still down and she's still eating like we don't exist.

She looks beautiful in her simple dress. But I hate the fact of what she does to my grandpa.

Is she acting all-out innocent?

"Excuse me I will go to the restroom!" She said suddenly. Still, her head down and walking towards the maid who she asked the direction of the restroom.

I excuse myself and I follow her.

Before she can close the door. I quickly put my hand on the door. She looks shocked and she steps back.

I close the door to have privacy then I step forward and she steps backward. The moment when she can't longer move I already prison her with my two arms on each side of her.

"So mind explaining to me what happen back there?" I said while staring at her.

She looks down and I cope with her shin and make her look at me.

"Tell me!" I command her.

"We're just talking about something!" She said in stuttering.

"What something is that?"

"No..one of your concerned!" She told me.

"Everything involved my family is my business. I have already warned you about it. Make a wrong move and I won't hesitate to destroy you!" I said and I grab her wrist when she tries to escape to me.

"Stay still!"

"I didn't do anything wrong. I would never do anything wrong. Please ." She said while her eyes almost crying.

"Don't you dare pull that trick on me? Your tears are useless to me. And I will not fall from it "

"But you can ask your grandpa about it. I did nothing wrong. You just have a wrong understanding of the situation!" She said

"Oh, so you can talk back huh! Then tell me why did your father so want to make me marry you?"

"I don't know!"

"Liar bitch!"

"Remember you can't own anything when we get married. We have already signed both the pre-nuptial agreement. Did you tell your father about it?"

"No..! And please don't tell him right now. Please I am begging you. " She said while pleading.

"Why would I care!" Then I exited the room.

I went to the dining room. And sit again.

I took out a few papers and I throw them at her father.

"What's this?" He said

"Read," I said in one word.

I witness how his eyes turn into something like he wanted to explode.

"What's the meaning of this?" He said

"You bitch what did you do?" He walks to her daughter who's just arrived from the restroom.

She looks pale and shocked.

"What?" She said

"What's the meaning of this paper? How did it happen?" He asked her.

She grabs the paper and she looks at me. I can see hurt and pain in there.

"It's an agreement between me and him dad.!"

"Who gives you the right to sign this? Didn't I tell you to obey me?" Then the next thing shocks me. He slaps her strongly.

My grandma immediately went to her side and comfort her

"Don't you dare manhandled her inside my house? How dare you raise your hand on your daughter!" My grandma whose now angry-looking at his father.

I remain to stay foot in my position. My grandpa looks at me angrily.

"Enough of that! Because of this, we will have the wedding sooner. Next week to be exact. Just a simple wedding. " My grandpa said in a calm tone.

"Is it too soon grandpa?" I asked said

"That's it's your consequence of what you did. Since you have already prepared your agreement. Mind as well do the marriage!" He said angrily.

"But we have many guests and friends invited," her stepmother and sister said.

"You can still invite them to the second big wedding. Right now I want them to married sooner" my grandpa

His father apologizes for his action. I can see how she shaking in fear. My grandma took her and calm her.

"I suggest Belle stay in here. I will make her rest in our guest room for now. " She looks into my grandma and shakes her head.

"No no I am ok," she said then take a glance at her father. Who is trying to hide his anger?

"Just rest here and you can come back to your house the next day. You're practically shaking. You need to rest!" I said and she looks up at me.

I don't know why but seeing her in her state makes my heartache. It's weird!

My grandma looks at me smiling and mouthed thank you to me.

Then she guides her to the guest room. I follow her sight till I can see her. I turn my attention to her family especially her dad.

"Sir I appreciate it if you refrain yourself from hurting my soon-to-be wife. I hope this will be the last." I warn him.

"Yes and I am sorry for that"

I know he's far from sorry. One day I will uncover this puzzle.
