Chapter 530: Chapter 530
Once the Lu Family received the message, they all went back from searching for the person.
Jiang Ye didn’t tell Lu Jing about it immediately. Instead, he patiently waited until the aunt and nephew had finished eating and drinking, then he approached.
"Are you done?" he asked.
"Is there something?"
Jiang Ye pointed at the little guy who had the same expression as his aunt:
"He ran out from home, and the entire Lu Family has been searching for him."
Lu Jing immediately looked at his nephew.
"Yizhou, didn’t you tell Grandma and the others when you left?"
The little guy shook his head:
And he seemed quite proud of himself.
Hearing the answer, Lu Jing slapped his forehead:
He hadn’t even thought to call and check back at the old house.
It was probably because he hadn’t been back for so long; he really hadn’t thought of that.
"Cough, making such a big fuss, is he going to get a beating?" he asked quietly.
Jiang Ye was quite blunt:
"Brother Yan seems to have prepared himself already."
This was really bad now.
Lu Jing looked at Jiang Ye, then back at his little nephew.
This kid was still so naïve, completely unaware of what he might face when he got home.
As an aunt, she felt an inexplicable pang of pity.
"Why don’t we take him back?"
With the two of them there, even if his cousin and sister-in-law decided to act, they’d probably restrain themselves somewhat.
The little guy seemed confused:
"Aunt, Uncle, what are you talking about?" he asked.
Lu Jing wanted to reply it was nothing, but the man had already spoken:
"Hmm, keep talking and you’ll get to eat ’bamboo shoots with pork’."
This kid didn’t get it:
"Uncle, is bamboo shoots with pork tasty?"
He still thought it was something to eat!
This comment made both adults laugh, especially Jiang Ye, who laughed heartily:
"Tasty, very tasty, you’ll know once you try it!"
It’s unforgettable, and, perhaps, something he’d remember for a lifetime.
Lu Jing wasn’t a kid, and of course understood the metaphor, rolling her eyes involuntarily:
"Alright, alright, I’ll stop talking. Aren’t we going to the old house? Let’s go."
Lu Jing twitched the corner of her mouth, trying to stall, but she knew full well that it was inevitable.
She stood up, and took another look at her nephew:
The little guy also jumped down from the sofa and took his aunt’s hand again. For origınal chapters go to NoveI-Fire.ɴet
Soon, the two adults and one child left the villa and walked towards the old Lu Family house.
Maybe because it was getting late, they didn’t encounter many people along the way.
So, even though they slowed their pace, they eventually arrived.
From a distance, they saw Lu Yan’s figure.
He stood there in a suit, though it was unclear how long he had been waiting.
While he wasn’t holding a cane or anything similar, his face did look genuinely stern, very stern indeed.
Not just Little Yizhou, even Lu Jing felt a bit intimidated upon seeing him.
Who wasn’t scared of their cousin since childhood?
Unconsciously, she moved a bit closer to a certain person, just a natural reflex.
Jiang Ye outright laughed:
"Yes, yes, not scared."
Who would believe that?
But, he wasn’t really planning to bust her; that would be too blunt.
As they approached, Lu Jing finally shouted:
Lu Yan casually glanced at his sister, then his gaze shifted to Jiang Ye:
"When did you get back?" he asked.
Lu Yan definitely knew about Old Master Jiang suddenly fainting and being taken to the hospital.
