Chapter 9: Chapter 9
The bell rang and all of us were in a hurry to escape. We have probably different reasons to leave right away but I'm pretty sure no one would guess where I'm going.
Except for this guy who was leaning against the wall just outside our room in which I guess he was waiting for me. I sighed.
"Hey, man. What's up?" Remi greeted, just as he stopped beside me and Mila on my other side.
"Hey, Keelan." Mila said at the same time, too chirpy for my liking.
"Hey." He nodded at them. "Can I borrow her for a moment?"
"Babe, you don't need to ask. Just whisk her away. We don't mind." Mila stated, ready to shoo me away. Her hand waved at him as she rolled her eyes.
I glared at her. "Such a good friend." I muttered.
"Thanks." She shrugged. I rolled my eyes.
I didn't notice Keelan was already grabbing my hand and pulling me towards him. "Thanks. We better leave then."
"Take care of her, prince charming." Mila giggled. Remi just nodded and smirked.
"Of course." Keelan responded and pulled me with him, not giving me any chance to roast my friends. I grumbled as we escaped.
"I won't skip practice this time, White. I already did that for you." I said as we stopped in front of his car.
"Don't worry. You won't. I'm just gonna tell you about the date and then I'll drive you to your practice." I leaned against his car and crossed my arms. He was unlocking the door.
"The date. Right." I said with no care, suddenly thinking my fingernails were interesting. Should I paint them with black?
"You haven't decided when, sweetheart."
"That's probably because I'm not interested."
"Well you don't look uninterested when I said you owe me a date."
"Oh, it was probably because I never thought you could be that kind of guy." I spat.
"What kind of guy really?" He stepped in front of me. Due to the limited distance between the cars that are parked either side of us, we were only one feet away from each other.
My eyes studied him. There was probably a scowl in my look. That goes to show how annoying this guy is. I don't know what he wants from me, why he's keeping me on my toes.
"Tell me, Kyree..." He closed our gap. His hand pressed against the part of his car just beside my shoulder. His common move to me. I wonder if he does this to his fans. "What kind of guy am I?"
I stared at him. "So when's gonna be our date?" I changed the topic instead.
He chuckled and then pecked me on the lips. I gaped at his action. "Saturday... if you're available on that day."
I remembered Deon and I are going out on that day.
"I can't."
"Sunday?" He suggested without prying.
I nodded. "Okay."
He grinned at me. One that was ear splitting. He looked like a boy excited for his favorite toy... or sweets. Probably sweets. I noticed this guy loves them so much. In the span of being with him, he's often looking for sweets. He loves his coffee on the sweeter side too.
He leaned in again and kissed me. I don't know what came over me but I responded to his kiss. I guess I could say I am used to his kisses. Even though he always manage to surprise me with his casual gestures.
He noticed I was responding so he wrapped his arms around me. I did so as well around his neck. The kiss got heated as we made out in the parking lot.
As much as I am annoyed by him, I can't help but get drawn to his lips, to his tongue seemingly dancing with mine. Whether he's playing with me or not, I can feel how sincere his kisses were. It was passionate and raw.
As it deepened, I could hear myself moan. I could feel his body all over me. His leg pressed between my thighs, my right leg slowly rising up against his hip. His hand snuck inside my shirt, stroking my back. His other hand was cupping my face. The warmth it brought added to the blush settling on my cheeks. This was probably the most erotic kiss we ever have.
"Fuck." He whispered against my neck. "We…” He inhaled sharply. “I think we should stop."
We were both panting. His breath fanning my collar and neck. His scent made me dizzy and making me fall insane. Our lips may have parted but I was still completely in a daze, still in awe of what just happened.
The reality that I just gave in to him.
He withdrew his head and looked at me. He must have seen something that made him curse again. "Fuck." He immediately let me go. My leg slowly dropped. He cursed again. "Shit."
And I was here speechless.
---
I was getting ready for Deon and I's trip to the fair. I slept over at Mila's knowing mom and dad were at home. She was lying on her bed on her stomach. Her chin propped up on her palm. She was looking at me as I finally tied my shoes.
"Can Remi and I go later with you guys?" She asked.
I shrugged. "I thought he was doing something. Isn't that why we didn't do the "party" last night." I air quoted.
She sighed. "Yeah. Sucks. I'm going to be alone on a Saturday. On a freaking Saturday, Kai." She groaned as she flopped her face to the soft bed.
I laughed. "How about this? I'm pretty sure you're going to the charity ball next week. I'll give you the privilege of choosing my dress."
She then lifted her head up. "You're going? Don't you have like a concert on that night?"
I shook my head. "I already told the boys that I'm unavailable. Our slot is optional on that night so we have a chance to refuse. Andrei realized he's been demanding lately so he practically gave us off for like three gigs." I shrugged. "We're happy though. Gave us time for our original." I finished tying my shoes and faced her.
"Don't you have like a dozen of those lyrics you composed?"
I shook my head. "It's too personal, Mila. Those songs are practically my diary." I smiled at her. "So shopping?"
She grinned at me mischievously which caused my smile to fade. "I'm going to choose your dress. No turning back now." She said too happily for my liking. I groaned
