Chapter 32: Chapter 32
Keelan just gave me his biggest grin he ever made.
"Boyfriend?" I could almost see dog ears perking up on his head and a tail wagging behind him.
"That's not the point. I just used Avery's husband's name because I was trying to be arrogant." I exclaimed. I'm getting frustrated because he was only paying attention to the word boyfriend.
"So I am your boyfriend despite you acting like you hated me." He was still annoyingly grinning.
"Ugh!" I rolled my eyes. He just laughed. He then lunged at me and hugged me. I squealed from his sudden gesture. He kissed both of my red cheeks. "I told you I'm still sick. Get off of me!" I scolded as I pushed him away by the chest. He kept rubbing his nose on my cheek instead.
"I mean it, Keelan. Stop it! I'm going to ignore you if you get sick." He finally pulled away. He was still wearing his annoying grin.
"I love you like a chocolate." He said softly. I turned away, hiding my blush. I pulled my blanket over me for the second time. Keelan chukled.
"Sleep, love. You need it."
I turn my head to him. "What about you?"
"I'm going to be here watching over you." I gave him a look. He shrugs. "I promise your two best friends that I'll watch over you." He then raises his hand. "Scouts honor."
I giggled. I scooted over to the side, giving him space. He eyed me inquisitively. I patted my bed signalling him to lie down with me. He did so eagerly. As he settles himself, I start to close my eyes. He already stopped moving. Peace and silence creeping in.
Okay, maybe I said too earlier. Keelan kissed my lips, lingering for far too long but not moving. I glared between his kiss. He smiled against it and then pulled away. His arm went around me. His leg went over mine. His head went to my neck and inhaled it, kissing it right after.
I just froze, my mind in a daze. He has always been clingy to me. Somehow after confirming our relationship, he became worse. I turned to him and glared. The idiot has a stupid smile on his face. It was annoying to look at. I just sighed.
I guess when you meet someone who's exactly like you, it's irritating. My eyebrows creased at the thought.
I want to be the one cuddling.
---
I twirled my finger on the wavy brown strands falling to his forehead. I traced his perfectly carved nose. My finger went down to his pink plump lips.
Keelan is truly beautiful even when he's sleeping. He's like the masculine version of Avery. They could really pass as twins. They're both very good looking. Keelan had a boyish look, even his voice sounds boyish, yet both raspy and kind of deep at the same time. I must admit I love hearing his voice.
He's still asleep... on my chest. I frowned. It looks deep. I'm kinda annoyed that he found comfort in my chest. I stared at his lips.
I leaned down and kissed it.
When I pulled away, he was staring at me. I jumped from shock. Keelan let out a boyish grin. He then moved to hover me. My hand went instantly to his chest and pushed him away.
"Keelan, where at the hospital. Behave."
He pecks my lips three times as he chuckles. He then kisses me deeply. I long forgot to push him away and instead wrapped my arms around his neck and responded to his kiss. I began to moan as our kiss got heated. He hummed with appreciation. His lips travelled to my jaw, to my throat, to my neck. I can feel him licking it before sucking. I moaned higher than the last one. He then kissed me towards my lips. His tongue was asking for entrance and I willingly opened my mouth and met his tongue with mine.
"Are you guys talking?"
I jumped for the second time today. My heart was hammering against my chest. I was panting and I wondered what's the cause- from our make out or the fact that we didn't notice Avery barging in.
Keelan rolled his eyes with an annoyed look. His sister was smirking at the door with crossed arms.
"Funny, sister." By the look on Avery's face, it felt like she was throwing an inside joke and Keelan did not find it funny. "Maybe you should get out."
Avery walked towards us. Keelan sighed deeply as he slowly peeled off of me. He really didn't want to get off of me.
"Well, I didn't ask you to leave when you caught us with my husband." I frowned, not getting on what they're talking about.
"Shut up. What are you doing here anyway?"
"How are you, Kyree? You okay now?" She asked instead, ignoring her brother.
"Just peachy I guess."
"Good. You need to get better cause you're invited to my birthday." She smiled beamingly. I returned it the same as I responded with an okay.
"You, young man, are going with me to the airport. I called you last night but you weren't answering. I figured you'll be here since that text you sent. Mom and dad are here in a couple of hours. We need to get them."
"What about, Stef?"
"He's going to have a board meeting today. I don't want to bother him." Keelan nodded. "You go grab a coffee or something and bring Kyree a breakfast." Keelan nodded again. He got up from the bed and kissed my cheek.
"My birthday's going to be after tomorrow." She started speaking as soon as Keelan was out. "All of my families and friends are going to be there."
"Do you always have that huge gathering every birthday you have?"
"Not really. I just wanna make sure that everyone is there. I actually have an announcement to make." She was showing a brilliant smile so this must be good news.
I raised my eyebrows with curiosity. "What is it? Can I have like a VIP for that?" We laughed.
"Okay, I'm going to have an exception for you since you're going to meet our parents anyway. Can't have two good news on the same day." She winks at me. My eyes widen as I feel a slight panic. Avery laughs. "Don't worry. They've been waiting for Keelan to finally have a girlfriend. They're going to be so happy when they meet you. They're going to love you, Kyree. Their son finally has a girlfriend- a beautiful one at that." She beamed.
I blushed at the thought but I'll probably worry about that for later. "So what are you going to announce?"
Avery gave me an ear splitting grin. "Luca's going to have a sibling."
I beamed. "No way! Really?!" She nodded with a beautiful smile. "Oh my god! Congratulations! Can I nominate myself as their babysitter?"
Avery laughs. "You really love kids, do you? You can. Usually I ask Keelan to babysit Luca and sometimes Stef's parents when they're here. They adore Luca so much. All of you adore him. I think Keelan might have a competition this time with his attention. Baby Luca seemed so fascinated by you the last time you came."
I laugh. "I think I'm going to steal him from him. He's such an adorable boy. He looks exactly like his father. Are you not jealous of that?"
She chuckled as she shook her head. "No. Not really. I actually love the fact that Luca inherited his father's beauty. I couldn't ask for more." A resplendent smile shone upon her face.
Avery and I kept talking. We shared a lot of stories- from her military days to her family that she built with Stef and to Luca again. I love listening to her when she talks about her son. I just really adore the boy. He's so cute. She's also a good listener when I tell her about myself. If she was our age, she could be one of my best friends. Keelan had a jackpot when he had a sister as wonderful as her
