" What's going on here "

We all turned to look at direction where the voice was coming from ,lord Xander walked into the room and stood in front of the corpse .

" What happened to her "

" That's what we are trying to find out my lord "

" Who killed her "

" My lord we are still investigating the matter ,I have sent the guards to search the entire servants chambers ,the culprit is still very much around my lord '

" Hmm..."He knelt down and deep his finger into the blood on the ground then put it in his mouth "

I was about to stop him but It was too late ,I was scared something bad was going to happen to him ,right now I am not ready to lose him not one bit .

" My lord that is poison " Said sir Sebastian "

" I know ,you should also know that I can't be killed but this pretty little things, it takes something stronger to do it " He walked up to me with but hands in his trouser pocket .

" What happened here Victoria '

I wasn't able to look into his eyes ,so I quickly looked away from him by bowing down my head .

Suddenly Emma interrupted me again .

" What do you mean by you don't know what happened Victoria ,tell Lord Xander the truth that you killed Mary "

" What your problem ,you keep accusing me of committing a crime I know nothing about ,stop it Emma "

" Or what ...this is injustice ,you killed her because you feel she's a threat to you "

" Or you killed her because ,you kept the food for Victoria but Mary mistakenly ate it "said lord Xander to Emma

" What...what are you talking about my lord ,I didn't kill anyone "

A bright smile appeared on lord Xander face then he turned to me and asked .

" Tell me Victoria Everything that happened in full details "

" Okay ,I cleared my throat then ,I started talking ,,I came back from the party ,I was hungry so Elena told me were she hid my food ,when I entered the kitchen I couldn't find it ,then I saw two dish on the shelf ,I picked one of it thinking it was my food then I came back to the room ,when I opened it to eat Mary quickly grabbed the food from me and started eating it without waiting for me , suddenly she started coughing violently ,we gave her a glass of water but it made it worst ,she started vomiting blood that was how she died "

" Interesting ,he turned to Sebastian and tapped his shoulder "

" You see this is why I have always told you to be know how to investigate matter before jumping into conclusions .it's painful that this young lady decided to take the fall for someone else ..tsk..tsk too bad but nevertheless the deed has been done ,she was poisoned ,with the bitter taste from her blood it showed she was poisoned with a strong substance very strong that could kill in less than a minute "

The other servants in the room started murmuring to themselves .

" Let's look at this way everyone ,he pointed at Emma and Abigail then to Elena and me . "Four of you come here please " this are the four suspect here and now but am sure one of them killed her ,now here is the reason .

Victoria became the centre of attraction in this mansion the minute she stepped into the mansion, making both brothers turned their eyes away from the servants of the mansion . which made some of them angry, Victoria so tell me why wouldn't anyone want to kill you , when they know she is the one standing in their way to get Lord xander and master Keir " the servants started murmuring among themselves .

"So I will briefly explain what happened here Victoria went out with master Keir which got some persons mad in the mansion, but already they had a plan draught out, so they waiting for the right time to carry out the plan and today was indeed a perfect day for it and so they decided to poison the food Victoria's friend kept for her to eat.Am i correct right ? "Lord Xander asked with a smile on his face .

Elena and I nodded our heads in agreement .

" Then they kept two separate dishes, which have poison in them Victoria took one of it and came back to the room to eat and what happened Mary was so unfortunate to fall into the trap they laid for Victoria and she ate the food which contained the poison and boom !! she lost her life ..tsk..tsk..how sad"

Everyone in the room was rendered speechless, no one could say a word they kept staring at each other with their mouths wide open Emma on the other hand try to speak but she couldn't she started acting strange she decided to excuse herself from the room but the guards got stopped her.

" Where are you running off to asked Lord Xander "

" Nowhere my lord I was only trying to carry out my chores"

" You should have thought of that before you tried poisoning Victoria"

" What everyone was shocked by this revelation, no one dared to say a word Abigail on the other hand was looking for an escape route"

He turned to Sebastian and asked him to take Emma and Abigail to the dungeon that he was going to take care of them later , They kept struggling and begging for mercy but it all fell to a deaf ears .

I sat on the bed and continued to weep uncontrollably ,I was weeping for my friend Mary ,she was a beautiful soul ,I kept asking myself the same question why do strange things always happen around me why ?
