Ava's POV

The plane landed on the the aisle of the tarmac and I inhaled the air of Scotland as we stepped out of the plane and I felt a familiarity in my lungs.

We walked into the terminal and at the lobby met with Robin. He wore a grin on his face. Five years have really done nothing to him. Just a few stubbles of beards underneath his chin.

Camila's steps increased as he walked towards us in quickened pace. Soon they were running into each other's as they met at the middle holding each other tight. My heart melted at the sight.

I and the children walked closer to them and they pulled apart.

"Mom,is this dad?" Dahviel asked and Robin chuckled as he went on one knee and ruffled Dahviel's hair. "Oh my word,you've grown so big. The last time I saw you,you were this." Robin said holding both his hands together like he was carrying a baby.

Dahviel giggled at the sight.

"Tell us who you are." Davina said. He tickled her and she giggled. "I'm your godfather you see." Robin said.

"What's that?" Davina asked.

"Enough question now,you'd get your answers soon okay?" I said to them.

Robin stood to his feet. "She looks so much like Skye." He said and I gave him a bitter smile. He changed the discussion as he accessed Luna and Lucas. "Feels just like yesterday I held your tiny fingers Luna," he said and she giggled and went into his arms. "Welcome home." He said to her and she managed a smile as they pulled apart.

"You're so big now Lucas. I can't wait to go head on head with you on the training ground." He said with a grin.

Lucas grinned back. "I'll be looking forward to that."

"Do I also get to say my welcome to the queen?" I heard a very familiar voice behind Robin. Robin moved aside and I gasped when I saw her.

There was my long time friend standing in front of me beaten by the weather and tanned by the sun. Tears clouded my eyes.

"Anna." I said in a whisper and I spread my arms opened towards her and she came towards me and we hugged. "I've missed you so much." I said, the tears finally cascading down my cheeks.

"I thought of you every single day." She said to me,her voice choked with tears too. We pulled apart and one by one they all took turns in hugging her.

Robin's POV

We arrived at the new apartment I had furnished for them before their arrival. It was a great shock to me seeing Anna again. I had wondered how she got to know Ava was arriving today and she explained before I could voice out my thoughts.

"Cmon children, up the stairs." Ava said.

"I call the biggest bed in the biggest room!" Davina said excitedly.

"Race you there!" Dahviel yelled in excitement too as they mounted the stairs.

"I've got longer legs!" Lucas said joining in their little fun. I chuckled and soon I could hear their voices echoing in the hall.

"It's been so long. I'm glad we're reunited again." Ava said and I nodded in understanding. Life had challenged us to different phases of it on this earth.

"Robin here tells me you were thrown out trying to seek the truth." Ava said again,referring to Anna immediately we were seated.

Anna nodded and sighed. "She was always sneaking out at night to meet someone whom I'm yet to figure out. She had caught me and immediately got rid of me by accusing me of theft." Anna explained.

"How much more despicable can Natasha be?" Ava thought aloud.

"I have more news," Anna began and I listened with keen interest. "I found the woman I saw while holding Natasha's hands that day." She said.

"The woman that told Natasha those lies about Ava's mother?" I asked and she nodded.

"Oh my word," Ava exclaimed. "Where is she? Had she confessed?" She asked at once.

Anna sighed again and shook her head. "I missed her the day I saw her. It was like she disappeared into thin air." She said.

"We'd have to find her even if it means curbing every streets,nook and cranny in the highlands." Ava said and I nodded in agreement. "We can get her sketched too to make our search less stressful. That's if you can recall her well Anna." I said and she nodded.

"I can't wait to find out the truth and expose Natasha once and for all." Ava said.

"On that, there's a feast tonight in the pack house,happening right in the territory. I'd want you to make an appearance, Ava." I said to her hoping she won't decline. Maybe, just maybe Skye would regain his memory. He needed to see his replica in a girlish form.

"Why?" Camila asked.

"Because.." I began and Ava interrupted me. "I'd go." She said without persuasion.

"Don't you want to find out why you're going?" Camila asked and she shook her head. "I'd like to give a little shock to Natasha and my husband. Stir things up a little." She said curving a smile. I knew immediately she had something up her sleeves and I couldn't wait to know what.

Ava's POV

I slowly ran the brush through my hair as I stared at my reflection. I was good to go.

The door opened and Anna walked in. "I remember when I and Camila get you dressed up at the alpha's command and now here you are getting all dressed on your own." She said with a chuckle and I smiled as I clipped the earrings on my ear.

"What I've learnt over the years is, what is constant in life is change. Change is inevitable, Anna." I said to her and she nodded.

"You're absolutely right my queen." She said.

"You still call me queen despite all the years. Despite the fact that I left you behind to suffer." I said walking towards where she was seated on the bed. She stood up.

"We all had the fair share of our suffering in different ways. None of this is your fault. We can't rewrite our destinies now,can we?" She said.

"Once Natasha is exposed and Skye regains his memory, we'd rewrite everything." I said to her holding her hands.

"There is one tiny bit of information I haven't told you." She said to me.

"What's that?" I asked curiously.

"My powers won't restore Skye's memory. He'd have to remember you himself." She said and my heart sank a bit. I was hoping that part would be less difficult since Anna is here now my hopes have been dashed to the ground.

Putting on a bright smile to erase my worry, I tightened my hold on Anna's hands. "We'd just have to let him remember by himself then." I said with a feigned smile and she nodded.

"Robin would be waiting for you now." She said reminding me of what I had to do. I nodded. Tonight I shall see the face of the man behind my smiles and sadness after five years of separation.

Camila and I arrived at the pack house and I felt my heart race. I fidgeted with my fingers. Maybe I should tell the chauffeur Robin sent to take me back home. I wasn't all sure now about this.

Camila enclosed her palm with mine. "Too late to back away." She said sensing my withdrawal.

I sighed and we alighted from the car. The feast was happening right outside the pack house. Camila and I walked into the feast and Robin came to welcome us in. "She's back." I heard the whispers from the pack. The moment we got in,I saw him sitting on an upholstered chair embroidered with gold. My heart somersaulted. He looked different. His chiseled jaw was sharper,his hair a lot longer and held behind his back in a ponytail. I turned to look away as I noticed Natasha clinging on his arm but I was too late. His eyes met mine and my knees buckled as his hazelnut eyes pierced into mine. I turned on my heels and practically fled.
