Ava's POV

"Mum." She called out sweetly to me. "I was just telling Dahviel to come downstairs and have fun with us." She said.

She could look into my eyes and blatantly lie after everything I saw. I decided not to react. I did not want to raise suspicion on her side. I needed to find out what was wrong with her.

"That's great dear but your brother needs rest Davina. Why don't you go to the party downstairs and have lots of pastries hm?" I said to her.

She jumped in excitement like a little child she was and skipped out of the room.

Tears rolled down dahviel's cheeks silently. I held him to my chest pulling myself together. What kind of trauma was she trying to make her brother go through?

Skye walked into the bedroom. "I figured out you'd be here. I've been looking for you. Why did you abandon me downstairs?" He asked all at once coming in front of me.

"Skye, there's a problem." I said to him.

"Problem?" He looked puzzled. "What problem?" He asked.

"I think Davina might be possessed." I said to him. He stared at me like I was crazy.

"Possessed? What are you talking about?" He asked me.

I pointed to the knife in between his feet. "Take a look at that Skye," I said pointing with my free hand to his feet.

"A knife?" He said picking it up.

"Yes a knife. I saw Davina myself coming into this room with a knife and threatening to end Dahviel's life." I said to him and he looked more shocked than before.

"You're trying to tell me,Davina wants her brother dead?" He asked.

"I do not know but I heard her say so. We need to find out what's wrong with Davina." I said to him.

"I'll send a message to El Ontario my friend in Russia to bring over his sorcerer. Her services are needed here." He said and I heaved in relief that he trusted my words.

"In the meantime,by tomorrow morning, I shall send Dahviel to crescent woods to be with uncle Phil and Lucas. He'd be safe till we find out what's going on." I said.

He nodded. "If that is best for him then I accept. I do not know what's going on but I want to know." He said and I nodded. "I'll send him a message now." He said taking out his cell phone and I watched him type away.

Davina's flash of red eyes came across my memory again. Those flaming red eyes. I wished and hoped it wasn't what I was thinking.

The next morning, I had Dahviel prepared to leave the pack house before everyone was up.

We walked down the stairs and with luck on my side,only a few pack members were awake.

Getting into the car and settling Dahviel in,I drove down to crescent woods.

By the time we arrived,everyone was up and going about their business. The statues and throne of Fernandez had been burnt to the ground and rendered to dust. His body according to uncle was left deep in the forest to rot.

"Ava, what happened? Why are you here so early?" Uncle said noticing me as he emerged from the study room.

"Uncle," I said going into his arms. He was becoming his self again.

We pulled apart and he ruffled Dahviel's hair. "Howdy Dahviel." He said.

"How're you grandfather?" Dahviel asked slowly.

Then his eyes shone bright at a figure that strode into the room. "Lucas!" He yelled and rushed towards him.

Lucas swooped him into his arms. "Why I must say,little brother looks adorable." He said and Dahviel giggled.

I sighed. I was happy he was smiling again. His gloomy expression has been replaced with a smile by Lucas.

"Mum," Lucas said walking closer to me and kissing my cheek. "Is everything alright? Why is it just you and Dahviel here?" He asked.

"I was just about asking the same." Uncle said.

"Dahviel,I believe there are some chocolates in the kitchen. Why don't you help yourself with some?" I said to him.

"Okay mum." He said and walked briskly to the kitchen.

Out of earshots,I turned to uncle Phil and Lucas. "Something is wring with Davina. She keeps threatening her brother's life and then pretend not knowing about it." I explained. I sounded crazy to them, I knew that. I sounded crazy to myself too.

"What do you mean?" Uncle asked.

"I think Davina's possessed." I said looking from uncle to Lucas.

"Who would want to possess a little child?" Lucas asked and I shrugged.

"Believe me child,I do not know. But Skye has sent for a sorcerer. For now dahviel has to stay here till the situation is settled down." I said.

Uncle looked thoughtful. "She did not show a sign of being possessed when she was here." He said.

"I do not know uncle. I do not understand it all. We found a mark of the serpent on Natasha's neck when we performed her death rites on her yesterday,"

"Natasha is dead?" Lucas asked in surprise and uncle looked expressionless.

"Yes. She committed suicide at the early hours of yesterday morning." I said.

"This is becoming quite difficult to understand. The mark of the serpent is a symbol from Clark but he's dead." Uncle said pointing the obvious.

"Exactly uncle. But,the missing wolves during Fernandez reign were not missing. He fed on them. They were his meals." I dropped the bombshell and uncle was shocked.

"Could this be Clark did not die? But how?" Uncle wondered aloud.

"That's what I must find out uncle and I am afraid of the truth I must confess,what if it is all connected to Davina's new behavior?" I was really afraid of the truth.

"Everything will turn out alright in the end." Uncle said and I saw Dahviel coming out of the kitchen with chocolate stains all over.

"You're one messy child." I said pulling his nose teasingly and kissed it. "I'll be on my way now love. Will you miss me?" I asked him.

He nodded. "And dad too and everyone. Will Davina come here?" He asked and I saw fear in his eyes.

I shook my head. "Your sister is not a bad person Dahviel. She's just being disturbed by those bad men that took you both away." I said to him. I didn't want him to grow up scared of his sister or scarred by the torments.

He nodded. "I love my sister." He said. I kissed his forehead. "She loves you too." I said and turned to Lucas and uncle.

"I entrust him in your hands. Please take good care of him." I said and they both assured with.

I didn't need to be bothered. I knew they will.

The moment I stepped into the pack house,Davina rushed towards me. "Mum,mum," she said repeatedly and I hugged her.

"How're you love?" I asked her.

"Fine. Where were you mum? I went to find Dahviel but did not see him. Where is he?" She asked.

I swallowed and smiled. "Don't you worry your little head about your brother. He is fine. He went to see Lucas,he'd be back today." I said to her.

She nodded. "It's alright mum. I just miss him." She said and walked away.

Skye came towards me. "How did it go?" He asked.

"Uncle Phil and Lucas will take care of him." I said. Lucas was back in crescent woods to complete his training as a warrior.

Anna walked closer. "The alpha has filled us on what's going on queen. I'm so worried." She said.

"Don't be Anna. Everything will be alright." I turned to Skye. "When will the sorcerer be here?" I asked him.

"By evening,she'd be here." He said and I nodded. I was anxious and scared. Was I ready for what's about coming?

The moment the sorcerer walked into the house,I knew everything was about to go wrong.

"I sense the presence of a demon in this house." She said at the doorstep.

I,Skye, Robin, Camila, Anna all stood there looking at her speechlessly.

She walked into the house,closer to us. "Alpha Skye," she curtsied.

I walked closer to her. "I'll like to know," I began but she stopped me and smiled toothless smile.

"I know what you'll like to know queen Ava. The ancestors have revealed everything to me before I made this journey." She said.

"What did the ancestors tell you sorcerer?" Anna asked.

She shook her head at Anna. "You've been destined to die for this family." She said and I shuddered. So did Anna

What? Did this aged woman know what she was talking about?

"I beseech you to please tell us what's going on." Skye said to her.

"The demon king is alive." She said and everyone gasped in horror including me.

"How?" Robin asked.

"The alpha and his queen did not carry out the task given to them properly." She said.

I stared at her. "We got married and slayed the demon king." I said to her.

She shook her head. "You did not slay the demon king as one. The prophecy says 'Hand in hand,under the blood moon sky,the demon king shall be defeated. Did I not tell you this alpha?" She said gesturing to Skye.

"You did but I did not keep it in memory." Skye said.

"Where is he now?" Camila asked.

"He's been roaming but now he's in a body of a child. Possessing her." She said and I felt my heart in my throat as I panicked. My fear coming true.

"Body of which child?" I asked her trying not to quiver.

"Mummy," I heard Davina's voice at the foot of the stairs.

The sorcerer turned to Davina's direction. "That child." She said and I felt my whole world crumbling down as tears rolled down my cheek as I stared at my daughter. My fears have been confirmed and they were true.
