Ava's POV

Skye dropped me home and with one quick kiss near my lips,we said goodnight.

The night had ended up in an awkward silence and I did not need to worry more about it as I stepped into the house.

I was shocked seeing Anna crying on the sofa with Camila and Robin comforting her.

I immediately threw my purse on the nearest sofa.

"What happened Anna?" I asked rushing to her. I knelt in front of her. "Tell me Anna, what happened? Why are you crying?" I asked but she sobbed the more.

"Talk to me." I said holding her face in my hands. "Robin,the two of you were out tonight. Tell me what happened? Why is Anna in tears?" I asked.

I still got no response. Anna was trying to contain her tears but she couldn't. She must be badly hurt. But where?

"Can someone for the love of Christ tell me what's going on here?" I asked again.

Robin exhaled. "That bloody bastard got rid of her powers." Robin said.

I stared at him in confusion. Who? Powers gone? It made no sense.

"Who? Tell me. I am confused here. Please explain to me." I said urgently.

They were keeping me in suspense and I demand to know what's going on.

"Fernandez. He,he,he got rid of my powers. He took away my real being as a witch." Anna said amidst tears.

"What?" I exclaimed in shock. My hands dropping from her face.

"How? Where? That's impossible. Fernandez does not have the ability to do so." I said.

"She had ran out to spy on Natasha when she saw her going suspiciously out of the pack house. She followed her and found out shocking truths and then Fernandez had placed his hand on her head and she could no longer perform or cast spells. I found her sprawled on the floor close to a cave crying." Robin explained.

I gasped. Fernandez and Natasha were on this together and Fernandez has taken away Anna's powers but how?.

"Talk to me Anna. I'll only understand from you. You saw it all right?" I asked her and she nodded.

I waited patiently as her tears subsided for a while.

"Fernandez and Natasha are on this together for some sort of revenge. Fernandez helped Natasha in all what caused the separation between you and alpha Skye. He even gave her an hatred potion." She said and I gasped in shock.

"That's why he hated you so much. He plans on helping her again to gain Skye back. I also saw Fernandez feeding on a crescent." She said and I gasped in horror.

The camaraderie was broken as I stood up,unable to contain the different thoughts that ran in my head. This meant one thing...

"The way he fed on the crescent was like that of the demon king." She said.

Father was back.

It was unbelievable. It was impossible. Father could not possibly be back. I was guessing wrong. Maybe Fernandez got those powers from somewhere else. Not Clark Forest.

"Then I tried to escape when he sensed my presence," her tears started falling afresh. "He caught up with me and and.." She couldn't finish her words as she broke down again.

I knelt in front of her as teats rolled down my cheeks.

"This is all my fault. For my sake, you've endured a lot of bad things and now the worst has happened. I'm so sorry Anna. I'm so sorry." I said holding her close to me in a tight embrace as she sobbed on my shoulder.

I blamed myself repeated for letting her out with Robin. I should have gone in her stead.

I was having a good time merry at the ball while someone else was crying all because of me. Oh Ava, look what you've done.

Skye's POV

The ball turned out quite great with Ava by my side. I had not even bother to ask why she didn't wear the dress I sent for her or did Robin not deliver my message?

I got the answer to my question when I walked into the house and saw Natasha holding the dress in her hand.

"What are you doing with that dress?" I asked her with furrowed brows.

"What do you mean? Didn't you get the dress for me?" She asked staring at me.

"I did not." I said honestly. "I got it for my mate." I said.

"You've hurriedly declared her your mate? She's an enemy Skye." She said to me.

"I believe you know I know that already. It is of no use beating about the bush and making that as an excuse." I said to her.

"It's not fair to immediately discard your lover. I've known you for twenty years. You can't possibly treat me this way." She said.

I sighed. "I can't help it that I want to be with Ava. I feel a connection that I don't feel with you." I said to her,honest as I could possibly be.

"That hurts me a lot," she said looking away. "I never thought another woman would one day be your mate and take you away." She said feeling hurt.

I walked closer to her. "I'm sorry but you're still my best friend Nat. I've made my choice." I said.

"Can this best friend get one last kiss before she loses you away forever?" She asked tenderly.

I was reluctant at first and hesitated. Then,I lowered my head and kissed her. I felt something sweet on her lips and it intoxicated me the more.

She pulled away and smiled sweetly. "Let's get married tomorrow night." She said entwining her arms around my neck.

I held her waist and nodded. "Anything you say my love. We shall get married by tomorrow." I said pleasantly to her. As I lowered my head to kiss her again. All I wanted was to devour her lips,her whole body and make her mine. That was the sudden urge I felt.

Robin's POV

As I drove into the blood moon's territory,I realized Anna losing her powers was because of me.

If only I had followed her immediately she went after Natasha, then this won't have happened.

And with Fernandez newly discovered powers. I smell trouble. What if truly it's the demon king?

I alighted from the car,shut the door and walked towards the pack house.

I walked in on Skye and Natasha standing in the middle of the living room involved in a passionate embrace.

The moment they heard the sound of the door,they both looked towards my direction with smiling faces.

Weird. What was going on?

"It's a good thing you're back Robin. I've got a surprise for you." Skye said with so much joy in his voice.

"What surprise gladdens the alpha's heart this much. Tell me,I'm eager to hear." I said to him.

Natasha and I are getting married by 'morrow night." He announced excitedly.

"What?" I exclaimed in shock and Natasha smiled devilishly at me.

Was this the plan Anna was saying earlier before?

"How can this be possible? You just came back from a date with another woman." I said to him.

"That woman means nothing to me. Natasha is all I've ever desired. I do not know why I'm just realizing that now." He said clinging onto her.

This evil witch must have cast a spell on him and there was no one to undo it.

"I do not give my consent of this marriage. It's not possible." I said to Skye.

His eyes blazed. "I'm the alpha and you do not tell me what's possible and what's not." His voice filled with fury.

"Do not listen to him sweetheart. Why don't you go upstairs,I'll be with you in a few minutes." Natasha said coaxing him.

He nodded. Kissed her lips and went up the stairs just like that. Yes I was right. This is a complete voodoo on Skye.

"Whatever you've used on Skye, undo it. You won't like the consequences that will follow." I said to her the moment he was gone.

She laughed. "Your threats have no effects on me Robin. Skye is mine and I've ensured that. If you or Ava try to stop the wedding tomorrow, I'll make y'all regret it." She said and laughed again.

"What am I even saying? The wedding cannot be stopped. Do your worse Robin. Everything has been planned out well." She said.

"One day,you'd hate yourself for doing this to every including yourself and you might be too late then." I said to her.

She chuckled and threw her hair over her shoulder and I got a glimpse of a tattoo.

"What's that on your neck?" I asked her knowing fully well Natasha does not have a tattoo.

She placed her hand over her neck. "I got a tattoo. So what,it's none of your business." She said uneasily as she walked away.

Was that why she mostly wear turtlenecks, choker and wear her hair down? What's this tattoo all about?

That was the least of my worries.

"How do I tell Ava that the man she danced with tonight,is wedding another woman tomorrow?" I asked myself out loud.

Ava's POV

I still found it hard to believe Fernandez has gotten this evil. To the extent he ate his own people. How much more callous can he be? Just how much?

What happened to my best friend? Was I really to blame for his present outcome? Did I really show a blind eye to the love he had for me?

No! I wasn't at fault. How could I have been at fault. Fernandez acted on his own accord. His blind rage of jealousy has got him this way.

And the power? I could not explain that. Clark Forest died five years ago. I ensured that. Skye buried him. There was no way he could have found his way into Fernandez body. No!

Fernandez has placed his hand into something evil. That was his own life but he has hurt me. He has continuously hurt me.

He had probably being the one to come after my children's life and he took my pack away from me and turned them into slaves.

Now he has taking away what makes Anna a witch. Her powers. He has continued to be cruel without repentance and I swear,he'd pay for it all.

Fernandez POV

The urge to go to the new museum surged through me and without much thinking,I went there.

Different antiques were displayed inside. The history of the first Pharaoh of Egypt was there too along with a statue.

I was even surprised to see Skye's father,Nicholas's famous pen for writing on display too.

Skye would kill just to get it. How did it even get here?

None of these interested me. I was focused on what I came for.

I got to an empty display and pulled out my ring. I placed it inside the display case and I felt a bit weak inside of me.

I walked out of the museum. It was all done. Now to continue the mission to make me stronger and get into my own body.

I couldn't wait to strike Ava where it will hurt her the most.
