Chapter 106: Chapter 106
KATHERINE
As the door of the room sprung open, and Katherine walked in, an instant smug smile graced her lips.
Her hands by the sides, she sauntered briskly to where Madison lay on the floor, bruised, battered and wet and the sight brought her so much excitement.
Coming to a stop in front of the bitch, Katherine lowered herself slowly until her knees was touching the cold floor, and her hands shooting out she grabbed a chunk of Madison’s hair.
Instantly the bitch woke up, her lips dropping sideways and Katherine clacked her tongue in disgust.
Her sight wasn’t a good one to behold, and moreso she was going to be brought to final doom today, so it wouldn’t be much of a bother.
“Open your eyes you bitch!” Katherine ordered, her grip on the strawberry blonde locks tightening, and sharply Madison opened her eyes.
“Oh… she obeyed me…” Katherine mocked, a chuckle bubbling from underneath her throat as she shot a glance at her men and said again, “The defiant stubborn bitch obeyed me. I thought she would have put up a fight.”
“I bet she has come to her senses.” One of the men said and Katherine could only laugh wickedly.
She glanced back at Madison, who was also looking at her with weak piercing eyes, and Katherine spat on her face, before letting go of her hair.
Standing up and looking down at the helpless bitch, she dropped the bombshell, and rubbing her palms she said, “So after much deliberation, it’s safe to say that today I would be putting an end to the existence of Madison Connor. Hahahaha…” She finished with a chilling giggle, and seeing Madison’s eyes widen in fear, Katherine could only continue laughing.
That look of pure terror and fear on her enemy’s face was golden, and it called out to her in ways that she just couldn’t explain.
“Today is your doomsday.” Katherine added again albeit smugly and just before Madison could utter a word, she continued, “Where is the blindfold?” She asked her men and they showed her the black cloth, as two men came forward.
“Good. Cover her eyes and tie her up, then when you are done you can begin to feed her the slimy food we brought. I guess she shouldn’t die on an empty stomach, or what do you think?” Katherine asked, and her men only nodded in response.
As she stood watching her men tie Madison up and feed her stale food forcefully, Katherine then talked to the leader, as they ran over the plan of the day.
They were going to a nearby isolated beach, to carry out the mission.
Once she shot the bullet that would kill Madison, her men would then dispose the bitch’s naked body into the ocean and after they burnt her clothes, they would all wash their hands and the weapons used with anti acid disinfectant, so as not to leave any trace.
As soon as that was done, Katherine would pay the men off, send a cryptic anonymous message to Damien or his team looking for Madison, and then she would board the next flight to New York, and continue living her normal life.
While Damien continued searching for Madison who he wouldn’t even see, Katherine would make sure to have moved on well with her life.
Soon, Damien would come to realize that Madison was dead and would never be found and then he would come back to her.
They would reconcile, marry and have kids together.
“Yes!” Katherine exclaimed absentmindedly as she talked to her men, and even though they had no idea why she was saying that word, they only nodded.
“You!” Katherine said after a while, pointing to one of the men standing closely and as he walked towards her she then informed him, “When we leave, you would stay behind at the warehouse to clean up everything. You are to make sure that nothing is left in this building… anything that could implicate us. Is that clear?”
“Yes boss.”
“Good.” Katherine said and then turning to face the men feeding Madison she then said, “It’s okay, I think the food is enough.”
They stopped feeding Madison the stale food, and turning to face Katherine she then ordered, “Drag her outside and put her in the car.”
“Okay boss.” They answered in unison, and without wasting any more time, they began to drag the dirty bitch roughy on the floor.
Watching as they left, Katherine shot a glance at the leader of her gang and together they both began to walk outside.
Before she left the warehouse though, she turned to face the man she’d asked to stay behind and then she warned him yet again, “Make sure you clean this place and yourself too. When you’re done, leave as soon as possible. When we are done too, I would give your share of the money to your boss, and he would have it disbursed to your account. Is that understood?”
“Yes boss, it is.”
“Good.” Katherine smirked, and without saying another word she took her final step out of the warehouse.
The shotgun she’d bought was in pocket, and the bullet she would use which had been carved with the letter M, were also in her side pocket too.
As she got into the car waiting for her outside, and the ignition started, Katherine smiled widely as an exhilarating feeling coursed through her.
Today, she would accomplish the last of her mission.
Today, Madison Connor, would no more grace the face of this earth. This feeling was bliss…
…….
Damien had his eyes in the lookout, as the patrol jeep speedily drove past tall buildings and trees.
Finally they were going to the tracked place which his investigative team had traced, through the strange number he’d sent to them.
The place was an abandoned government warehouse laying at the outskirts of the city, and it had been sold to some private individuals.
His hands currently tapping away at his thighs, his whole body shaking in a way he couldn’t explain, Damien felt so restless.
Restless, and trembling in fear.
Even though he was more than excited to be going to this place, he still felt some kind of dread, as he shuddered wondering what he would see when he got to this place.
What would he see? What state would Madison be in, if he even saw her? What would happen? He just didn’t know what to think, and he didn’t have the answer to the questions filling his head.
Damien had no idea how long he continued to think, but the moment he felt the car he was in somersaulting, he jerked his head away from the thoughts in his head and back to reality.
“We are here boss.” The driver announced, and without even waiting for any of his guard to open the car’s door, Damien quickly dabbled with the locks and stepped outside.
The cool breeze whipping through, his eyes scanned the littered surrounding, until his gaze dropped in front of the large uncompleted building in front of him.
“Is this the warehouse?” Damien asked, his brows quirking, as he looked at the watch checking his time.
“Yes it is.” Mr Rudiger and the chief detective who came to stand by his side said in unison and Damien could only nod in reply.
“Why is the place looking deserted though?” Damien asked wondering as his gaze kept looking through, trying to look for any sign of movement but he got nothing.
A chill running down his spine, he closed his eyes and tried to calm himself down.
There was no way they could have been late to this place, or had the kidnapper used this location to divert them from where they were?
No fucking way! Damien could only exclaim to himself, but the longer he thought about it the more dread filled his entire soul.
“Men, go in and check…”
Damien could hear the detective motioning at his men to go in and search the warehouse, while he just stood frozen in the spot.
He just didn’t want to believe that he had come late, and that Madison would no longer be here, but then this place… It looked so deserted and empty that…
“No, I won’t think that way.” He half yelled to himself, startling Mr Rudiger who was still by his side and when the investigator asked what the matter was, Damien only waved him away.
Without saying a word, and grabbing a gun from one of the guards standing by, he clicked his tongue and then began to walk into the eerily quiet warehouse.
“You can’t go in now Mr…” Mr Rudiger called out to him from behind, and he could also feel some men following him closely but Damien didn’t stop moving at all.
His grip on the gun tightening, he continued to walk into the building, his eyes scanning every nook and cranny but he saw nothing that was out of sight.
He walked past rooms that looked complete empty and in place, and the more he searched, Damien was beginning to see reasons that he must have fucked up badly.
Surely, the kidnapper had just played them, and this warehouse was nowhere near where Madison was being kept.
He was about to give up, his whole body trembling and tears streaming down his cheeks when suddenly he stopped in front of a room.
This particular room was closed, and the black door shielding it looked all manner of strange.
Damien placed a hand on the knob, trying to open but it refused to.
It didn’t budge and it was clear that it might’ve been jammed from within.
Turning to face one of the men with him, he ordered the guard to break in and sharply the man did as ordered.
In one swift movement and heavy push, the wooden door broke, and the room was open for all and sundry to see.
However the second Damien stepped into the room, his eyes widened in shock, his jaw dropped open and he clasped a hand over his mouth as he tried so badly not to vomit.
This room was soily and… “Fuck!” Damien cursed as he saw the tools and weapons arranged in a heap at one corner of the room.
There were blood streaks littered about, and the floor was freaking wet and muddy too.
This place looked like a torture hound, and from the way it looked and smelled, Damien came to just one realization and conclusion at the same time.
This room - This was where Madison must have been kept during her stay here and they must have left.
He was right all along. The kidnappers had been here and…
“We got a suspect.” Someone announced from behind, and breaking his trance, Damien slowly turned away from the horrific scene he had been staring.
His mouth closing, he blinked twice and suddenly rage filled him the second he saw two officers dragging an half battered man towards him.
“Who is he?” Damien asked, even though he clearly knew who the motherfucker was.
“One of the kidnappers, or accomplice I think. We caught him burning some clothes at the backyard. He didn’t see us, and he had no idea that we were in the vicinity. The second he saw us he tried to make a dash for it and…”
“Drag him outside.” Damien ordered softly, interrupting the man speaking, and with a nod the officers did as he’d ordered.
As the rest of the men walked outside, Damien turned to look at the torture room one last time, and spitting on the floor, streams of tears falling down his face, he mumbled gently just before leaving, “I’m sorry Madison. I’m so so sorry.”
As his legs began to carry him away from the room, and making sure he didn’t turn back at all, Damien tried to focus on what he was about to do now.
He would not think of the horrors or tortures Madison must have gone through, in the hands of these people.
Instead he would focus on interrogating the man they’d caught, and making sure the fool spilled every goddamn thing he knew. It was just a matter of time… This Damien comforted himself with.
Soon, he would be reunited with the love of his life. Be it in good health or in death!
