Chapter 95: Chapter 95
Anyone at Liara's place would have been in the cell, and a lot of questions and answers would have been asked to him or her, but she was a part of the family, and this reason had tightened Steve's hand. Eleanor kept his mouth shut, focusing on cleaning his injury. The other reason she had kept her mouth shut was that she could find only one reason why Liara would have done all this.
"Do you think that he could have blackmailed Lee? Because she is weak and timid?"
'OR That Lycan could be her mate. Only Moon Goddess knows why has this thought not crossed his mind yet?' She wondered. But at the same time, she knew that he would figure out the TRUTH if that Lycan would appear again.
"Maybe," Eleanor said to brush the topic. She knew, as a Queen, she shouldn't be doing this, but she didn't want to make Liara's life difficult by telling him what she believed. "Keep this topic aside; I will ask someone to send emails to all the students informing them about The Elite Academy. And once we get the data, how many students want to continue their studies over there? We will continue the further procedure."
"Better." Steve nodded and yanked her up, only to make her sit on his lap, inhaling her scent. He leaned toward her neck when she mind linked.
'Mom is coming in this direction.'
'As if I care.'
'But I feel shy. Let's go to the office or somewhere private. I promise to give you more you wish for.' Eleanor tried to convince him. Though she knew he would give in to her request. Steve didn't say anything and picked her up in his arms, and started walking toward their room. Eleanor giggled, and that was when her eyes landed on Steve's mom, Rebecca Weasley, who was smiling widely. There was relief and happiness in her eyes with the thought that, finally, his grumpy son was settled.
'Moon Goddess!! Please settle my other grumpy son as well. I mean Colton especially.' She prayed in her mind.

"Mom, you should be resting," Liara said the moment she found her mother in the kitchen.
"God, please, no more resting!! It was just a minor heart attack, not a bypass surgery." Sophia Haysbert complained. For the past month, her daughter had treated her and her husband like some patients, and she herself acted like a doctor, taking care of her medicines, her diet, her exercise, and everything.
"Moreover, Tee just called me and asked me to prepare all those dishes, which is my specialty, and if required, take the help of chef Aunt Becca," Sophia said with a big smile on her face and instructed the helper to get all the kinds of stuff that she required in blueberry cheesecake.
"Even though she knows that you're sick?" Liara asked, narrowing her eyes.
"I'm not sick, Lee!! I'm fine now. It was your father who almost died." Sophia reminded and immediately stopped working for a minute, "If anything would have happened to him, then I would have died, Lee."
"Okay!! Let's change the topic. The present news is that he is all right. Now... why Tee asked you to prepare so much food today? She doesn't come home in the middle of the week." Liara pointed out not telling her mother that she was planning to come on the weekend or the news that she had found her mate already because Liara didn't want to ruin Tee's surprise or plan if she was planning one. Moreover, it should be her breaking this news to Sophia and Brandon.
"Oh, that.... well, I don't know. All she told me was that she is coming today," Sophia replied, and Liara's heartbeat increased. "She was very excited and happy while talking over the call. I even asked the reason behind it, but she didn't tell me." Sophia kept saying.
"But I'm also her mother. I can already guess what can make her so happy." Sophia said, raising her invisible collar. "Brandon's guards told him that last night she returned home with a werewolf, most probably her mate; otherwise, she wouldn't have got marked by him, right?"
"She... she got marked?" Liara's voice broke as if she would start crying any moment. Sophia quickly reached near her, not able to understand what was making Liara so sad.
"What happened, Lee?" Sophia asked, cupping her face. "This is common in werewolves, isn't it? Marking and Mating in a day to a week because of the horny wolves. They can't keep their hands off their fated mates."
A lone tear escaped Liara's eyes upon hearing this; only if she could tell her mother how Theodore didn't even let her hug him, leave the topic of marking and mating.
'Maybe because he wouldn't have been our fated mate. Maybe it would be some sort of witch spell?' Destiny suggested making her human feel good, but that didn't make Liara feel any good.
"Are you not happy for your sister?" Sophia asked, wiping Lee's tear and making her look into her eyes.
"No! It's not like that." Liara muttered, shaking her head. She had a lot of things to do than getting envy her sister's happiness.
"Then? Are you scared that your mate will reject you? Hmm?" She asked softly. "If that happens, then let that happen. No need to waste your time on someone who doesn't want you. I'm telling this with my personal experience, sweetheart."
"Didn't you feel any pain?" Liara asked innocently.
"When it hurts to move on, just remember the pain you felt hanging on," Sophia said, caressing her cheeks. "Now go and continue your training. I have prepared a lot of things."
Liara took a deep breath to calm herself down and nodded her head.
'What will you do if.... if Theo would be the one who...' Destiny didn't get a chance to complete her sentence when Liara cut her in between.
'I will reject him.' Liara replied. Destiny whimpered in pain, but she didn't say anything about her decision because she knew that Theodore had earned that rejection.
"Daddd...." Liara alarmed her father, who was practicing with one of the guards, taking a position to attack him.
"You will lose again, Princess!!" Brandon chuckled.
"Let's see!!" Liara mumbled and shifted into her wolf form. Now that she was free from her studies, she was spending time learning how to fight in both human and wolf form.
