With each passing day, Theodore started trying to change his way of living by giving control to Inigo. He recalled how Liara had done the same for him. She stepped out of her comfort zone to do something that she wasn’t fond of, whether it was eating by her hand or compromising with hygiene when it came to him.

He just waited patiently for the day when he would meet Tiara.

And finally, that night came when Theodore was going to meet Tiara for the first time. Zach had thrown a party for his girlfriend’s birthday and had asked Tiara to come to the last at any cost.

‘Why are you so nervous?’ Theodore asked his Lycan, who was disturbed by something.

‘Mate. I feel like I’m going to meet her.’

‘Really?’ Theodore thought in an excited tone after looking in the mirror for the last time before walking out of his room. ‘I can’t wait to meet Lia. But I doubt that she will come here. At the same time, I trust your instinct.’

Inigo wanted to say that wolves or Lycans never feel restless while meeting their mate for the second time, but he kept his tongue tight.

‘We haven’t seen Tiara’s picture. What if we will meet her before Zach introduces us?’ Inigo questioned. Zach deliberately didn’t show Tiara’s picture to him so that he could act to surprise and shock while meeting her.

‘We will ignore her. Simple as that.’ Theodore said, shrugging his shoulder. Once done with his hair reaching to his shoulder. He wanted to get short hair and get a look of chocolaty boy look. He was already missing his beard, which used to cover half of his face. He walked out of the room, not before grabbing the invitation card that he would need at the entrance.

‘We’re running late.’ Inigo complained.

‘Can you complain to me about that?’ Theodore questioned him. Earlier, he used to reach somewhere within a second because all he had to run before going anywhere. Now, he had to look after his hair, his looks, his shoes, his clothes, his perfumes, etc., etc. All these things were so annoying for him.

After half an hour!! He finally reached the venue, and the moment the chauffeur opened the door for him, his nose hit the smell of blood with honey.

‘Mate,’ Inigo howled in excitement, but the color of his face paled because this fragrance was anything but not Liara’s scent. ‘Mate! Mate!’ While Inigo couldn’t hold his excitement, Theodore couldn’t breathe. The thought of having someone else as his mate was suffocating him.

“Sir?” The chauffeur reminded him so that he could hop out of the car. With a heavy heart, Theodore stepped out of the car. He now didn’t want to go inside and meet the lady who had this scent. He couldn’t understand why? How?

Liara didn’t reject him, nor did he accept his rejection. Then how was that possible? OR was there something that he was missing? Or by saying, ‘it’s over,’ everything ends? He couldn’t make sense f anything until a gorgeous lady came out of the party with a big smile on her lips.

“Mate,” She whispered and looked so happy, as if she had found some treasure. At the same time, Inigo was howling in happiness.

‘She is so beautiful.’ Inigo told Theodore, but all he could look into was her green eyes, which were similar to Liara's.

‘But she is not Liara.’ Theodore told him, killing Inigo’s excitement. Inigo knew that Theodore wanted Liara and only her. So, he also knew what he was going to do next.

‘Please don’t reject her. You had hurt Lia in the same way. Don’t repeat the same mistake.’ Inigo tried to convince Theodore, who was thinking of rejecting the lady immediately, and it was true. He wanted to do the same with Liara, but she didn’t want to reject him.

Did he really lose Liara forever?

The single thought was breaking his heart. If not her, Theodore didn’t want someone else but Inigo was against that decision.

Neither of them spoke a word. The smile and happiness in Tiara’s eyes started getting fading. From the morning, Dora, her wolf, was on edge and was irritating her, so of which she even decided to cancel the attend the birthday party, but the moment Dora picked up the combination soil after the first rain and lavender. The scent surrounded her mind and acted like a drug.

She felt her legs start walking in the direction of the scent. At the same time, she begged her mate not to be some Alpha of some pack because she didn’t want to settle in some forest. Her career and her life were in the human world.

And the more she went closer, she sensed a rotten smell along with that scent too. That meant only one thing he was a ROUGE. She didn’t mind if he was a rouge as long as he was ready to settle in the human world.

‘Will you stop thinking about yourself?’ Dora said in irritation because Tiara’s thoughts were killing her excitement. ‘We are werewolves, and forests are our home.’ She added, to which Tiara rolled her eyes. Dora couldn’t wait to see her mate.

And finally, their eyes landed on Theodore, ‘Damn! He is so hot.!!’ Dora purred in happiness, looking at him.

But it didn’t last long when they saw there was no emotion on her mate’s face. It looked like he wasn’t happy to find them.

‘Please say something. Why are you acting like this?’ She wanted to ask, but she was scared. What if he would reject them right away? She had never been rejected ever in her life. She was the one who used to reject people or things.

After a few minutes, he finally walked toward her, but his face was still emotionless. He didn’t even care to look at her and walked right past her. Tiara tried her best not to cry because of the pain that she felt because of the mate bond.

‘He doesn’t want us.’ She told Dora, on which she whimpered in pain.
