Chapter 289: Chapter 289
"I can’t believe it; you were here and alive but never came to Blood Moon Pack for your right," Calvin complained. "Only if you would have been there, then your pup would have been the next alpha, and I would have become an actor." He whined like a kid.
"You look older compared to dad. So, you must be older than him. What’s your age? And why are you using your surname as ‘Wayne," why not the surname of... you know?" He questioned Ambrose, who was waiting for him to stop because, from the moment he had started speaking, he couldn’t see the end of the questions.
Calvin told Liara how he recognized that he was their uncle. Both Colton and he had seen a couple of pictures at their Uncle Bruce’s place, who had stored pictures that were close to him.
Ambrose looked at Liara and mentally linked her. ‘One of your brothers is mute, and this one, when is he going to stop?' Liara bit her lip from smiling at his remark.
"Am I the only one waiting?" Edolie stopped speaking when she saw a young man in her room. She had already sensed that someone was there, but she didn’t think much before speaking, thinking that someone could be some staff of the hospital who would be here discussing his or her stay in the council.
"Mom, He is my older brother, Calvin, and Calvin, she is...
"Hello, my beautiful aunt." Calvin reached near him and grabbed her hand like a gentleman, kissing the back of it. "You too have blonde hair, like more. I like it." He complimented.
"Thank you." Edolied blushed, pulling her hand from his. She would have slapped him if Liara introduced him as her brother. Edolie looked at him carefully, and then at Ambrose; she could see very little resemblance between them.
"But I don’t understand." Calvin muttered in confusion. "Uncle Bruce never told me about you. Hell, none of the pack members that survived that hunter attack told dad or anyone a thing about you. How is that possible? As per them, there was only one Alpha heir, and he was the father of the twins. When did you come into the picture, and even if you did, then why did no one know a thing about you?"
"Can someone tell me what I’m missing?" He asked.
"Only if you will stop speaking, brother." Liara pointed it out.
"I’m just asking." With that, Calvin sat on the bed comfortably and looked around one bedroom and a kitchen room. It was a small quarter, but enough for a single couple.
"Do you always speak this much, or today was something special?" Ambrose asked in a cold tone.
"Lee!! He is giving us a dad vibe. He too used to get irritated with the person who used to speak a lot." Calvin chuckled and patted the bed beside him. "Sit with me, Uncle Am. Don’t be shy. It’s your bed after all."
"You’re so annoying," Ambrose muttered and sat on the bed because there was nowhere else in the room where they could sit.
"That’s the punishment for not meeting me when I was a kid," Calvin said with a wink. "I so wish I could climb on your back and you could give me a tour of your place," he added, on which a small curved appeared at Ambrose’s lips.
"Smile, Uncle Am. It’s free therapy." Calvin said before continuing, "So, I’m waiting for all my answers as I’m dying of suspense." He looked at Ambrose, waiting to hear his story.
Ambrose looked at Edolie, who smiled at him. Talking about his past wasn’t something he liked, but at the same time, he just couldn’t kick his nephew out of there.
If things had been different, then, just like any uncle, he would have spoiled his nephews.
"So, you see, I use my mother’s surname, not that bastard’s surname. And that’s the reason I never came to take the right on Blood Moon Pack because I never considered it mine. When I didn’t consider him my father, then how can I come to claim my rights over something that was his?"
"Long story short, your father and I don’t share the same mother. I’m not your really great uncle. So, it will be better if you will call me Ambrose instead of...
"Nonsense!" Calvin cut him in between.
"Excuse me? "You think I’m lying about your grandfather?"
