Liara left the bed to wear something decent rather than going downstairs in almost-naked clothes.

"I can smell them. Since when they are here?" She asked when she caught two scents. One belonged to Calvin, and she couldn’t name it.

"Just a couple of seconds before," Theodore responded lazily.

"You could have told me before. I’m sure you learned this the moment they would have been around the Council." Liara complained, but Theodore just ignored her.

Why would he have disturbed her sleep when they were the ones who landed in the middle of the night?

"Oh, wow!! Here is a robot as well." Zordan, Calvin’s Beta, spoke when Dotty reached near them carrying juice in the tray. He was ready to drink the juice when Calvin slapped his hand, signaling him to keep his hand away from everything.

"Let him drink it, Calvin. I assure you that nothing is mixed in it." Liara said, walking out of her room.

'Be careful on the stairs.' Theodore's mind linked her even though he was aware that she would be careful. Liara was Zordan, and she couldn’t help but recall how his elder brother was framed and killed in The Ever Green Pack. He was there for her security but was killed. She never got a chance to apologize to him.

At the same time, Calvin observed her for a while until his eyes landed on her baby bump.

"Lee?" He walked toward her with a smile on his lips and cupped her face, saying, "Moon Goddess! I didn’t know that you were expecting."

"You knew that you had to keep in touch with her." Calvin raised his head and saw Theodore, who looked annoyed by the disturbance in his sleep.

"Shut up and go to sleep." Liara glared at her mate, who wasn’t in a very happy mood. He wondered what kind of happiness he would get by picking a fight with Calvin. Even when they met for the first time, they were ready to tear each other apart if not for her. Theodore didn’t say anything and returned to his room. "Don’t mind him." She muttered, looking at Calvin.

"I don't, because he is right." Calvin smiled meekly and hugged her.

"I’m still not a hugger," Liara said, and her voice started getting heavy. "But never mind.." She hugged Calvin back. She missed him a lot, and the way Calvin had hugged her. His feelings were no different from hers. He leaned over and kissed her hair.

"Still so short." He joked about how Liara hit his chest slightly.

"Thanks to the Moon Goddess that you’re here. I was going to send a message for you anyway." Liara said, breaking the hug and coming directly to the point. It was something that she had been holding back from telling him for the last five days.

"Why? About what?" Calvin looked at her in confusion.

"One of my patients is finally out of the coma." She said, to which Calvin looked at her in confusion, wondering where this conversation was going. "And her scent! Her scent is familiar to Rose. As we both know, that pup has the scent of both its mother and father until they grow up."

"I know that. Do you mean to say that you found the woman who gave birth to Rose?" Calvin asked in as much disbelief as he could that he had finally found her.

"Yes!!" Liara nodded her head.

"You’re pregnant, and you need to complete your sleep. Tell this to your idiot brother." They heard a pissed Theodore’s voice, at which Liara rolled her eyes.

"Umm… yeah!! Your mate is right. You should complete your sleep first. I can wait here on the couch for the next few hours until you’re awake." Calvin said.

"Oh, shut up, both of you! And listen to me carefully." Liara said before continuing. "The name of your pup’s mother is Ethlyn Smith."

"Ethlyn Smith? Never heard this name before." Calvin muttered.

"I have emailed a video of her in the hospital. Check your email to see her face. I hope you can recognize her then." Liara suggested, on which Calvin pulled out his phone, but there was no signal on it.

"Use the wifi and check the video then. The password is...

"Liara?"
