Chapter 241: Chapter 241

‘Ask the driver to stop the car.’ Liara heard in her mind. Theodore’s words brought her to reality. She quickly wiped the tears which were all over her cheeks. She had been holding those from the moment she heard the conversation between her parents. A part of her was glad that Theodore didn’t accompany her because she wanted to cry, and in his presence, it would have been impossible. That was why, when he changed the plan to stay back, not once she asked him to join her or let Alaric handle this thing.

“Please stop the car!!” She requested the driver and tried to look normal, looking at her face in the mirror that she had carried with her in her clutch. She looked like a mess. So, no matter how much she would try to try to look like nothing happened but Theodore would read her like an open book because her makeup had been ruined, and her eyes were puffed.

Before she would have thought much, the door of the car was opened, and Theodore hopped inside. She realized that he was pissed, worried, and tensed a little. She kept the mirror inside and forgot her pain, and looked at him in concern.

“You okay?” She asked softly. Theodore looked at her condition, and after settling on the seat, he grabbed her and pulled her in his arms. He inhaled her scent before answering.

“Now. I’m.” Liara blushed at his reply and wrapped her arms around his neck. She wanted to ask the reason behind his tense mood, but then she decided to give him some time so that he would share it with her on his own. At the same time, she, too, wanted to stay quiet and relax in his arms.

Liara hoped Colton to be all right because she knew her mother wouldn’t have left if the matter wouldn’t have been serious. Otherwise, she would have left the moment to meet her after so many years. Then her thoughts diverted to her father.

She couldn’t understand why he was having a hard time accepting Theodore.

Theodore was holding Liara close to him as much as possible. He was scared that she might leave him after discovering the truth related to what he did with her sister and her father.

He had already accepted that what he did with Tiara was wrong and punished her to the extent that he shouldn’t have done it. He was ready to apologize to her for what he did to her, but he couldn’t live without Liara.

At the same time, what he did with Brandon was something that his mate would never appreciate.

He was glad that Liara didn’t question anything about the emotions that he was going through. There was pin-drop silence between them, and none of them bothered to disturb, giving each other the privacy that they wanted.

“Let’s go home,” Theodore muttered, walking inside the suite.

“Moana?” Liara asked softly, trying not to piss him off. His eyes blazed, showing that he didn’t like that question, but Liara stood unaffected by his irrelevant anger. She didn’t ask about dating another man, so there was no reason to get mad.

“You can take her with you tomorrow,” Theodore answered when he realized that she wouldn’t leave without knowing about her.

“Alaric, and you aren’t planning against her, are you?” Liara couldn’t help from asking that question. She knew that Theodore didn’t like Moana even a cent. So, she didn’t want him to make any wrong decision in anger.

“Do you think I will ask that fucker to rape Moana?” Theodore growled at her after hearing this question. Now, this time Liara was scared a bit. She felt that she ended up asking the wrong question. Theodore grabbed her arms tightly and asked again. “Answer me!! You do think that I will ask him to force himself on that bitch?”

“I… I’m sorry.” She apologized while her lips quivered because he was hurting her in anger. She could see that it was not just his anger. He was scared and was covering that emotion with anger. She wondered what exactly was going on in his mind.

“Take us to the Black Council,” Brandon said, and in the next second, they were outside the Black Council. Since the whole area was protected with the witch magic, the gate stone couldn’t take anyone inside. Lifting Liara in his arms, he ran toward their home.
