Chapter 199: Chapter 199
“Lucy!! Lucy!!” Liara yelled and looked around, making sure that she wouldn’t end up falling into some trap. She picked a stick and checked the ground first before walking into it. She stopped walking when she heard the footsteps of someone. She couldn’t sense anyone’s scent; why? She looked around but found no one.
“Anyone here? Lucy? Sweetheart, are you here?” Liara asked and kept the stick on the ground, only to realize that it was going into the mud. She quickly pulled the stick out, realizing that she shouldn’t move forward. She examined the ground around it, and she could bet that there was a large bog at that place.
She turned around quickly, sensing someone's heartbeat and breath, but even though she could have understood anything, she was hit by a thick stick on her head, making her stumble on her feet. Liara screamed in pain and held her head in response.
“Die, Princess!!” She heard next, only to get kicked in her stomach. Liara was thrown at some distance. She whimpered in pain and lifted her head to see Moana smirking. She tried to get up on her feet and teach her a lesson, but that was when she realized that her body had started going into the mud.
She struggled to get out of it by moving as fast as possible, and it was making the situation more difficult for her.
‘Calm down,’ Destiny said because the more Liara panicked, the earlier she would get die. Destiny tried to mind-linked Theodore but couldn’t.
“Why did you do this?” Liara asked, not able to understand her reason for hating her to this extent.
“Because of two reasons!! One, to make Theo mine, and second, Dad started liking you, and the last thing I wanted you to be here.”
“Say hi to Selene from my end.” With that, Moana left from there. Liara tried to mindlink Theodore but couldn’t. Her werewolf power wasn’t working at this place. She tried to use the gate stone, but it didn’t work. She wondered why?
‘That is a cursed land.’ Moana’s words rang in her mind.
‘Is that because my powers are not working?’ She thought and howled loudly, signaling everyone that she was stuck here. ‘Can someone even hear me?’ She questioned herself.
“Help me!!” She shouted for help. Slowly and gradually, her body started disappearing inside the bog. Except for staying still, she couldn’t do anything. “Theo!!”
“Colton,” She cried, getting scared. She didn’t want to die like this. She didn’t want to die now. She had to do a lot of things in her small life. She composed her emotions, knowing that Theodore would have surely sensed that she was in danger even if he couldn’t contact her.
‘He will be in his way to save us.’ Destiny said. ‘Have faith in him and Selene.’ She added, knowing everything happened for a reason.
“Aaaaa!!! Helppp!!!” Liara’s head snapped when she heard Moana’s voice. “Help!! Help, dad!!” She cried loudly. Destiny laughed, hearing this while Liara looked in the direction where Moana was crying for help. It looked like she fell into a trap as well.
“Stop struggling, Moana. Or you will die soon.” She shouted, helping Moana mentally.
“I’m scared,” Moana shouted.
“So do I, but stop struggling.” Liara scolded her. “The more you struggle. The less time you will have.” She added.
“Why are you helping me?”
“Because that’s what defines me, Moana. And always remember that he who digs a hole for someone will fall in it himself.” Liara replied. “Where is Derik? He knows that we are here, right?”
“I sent in other direction of this land to deal with you,” Moana replied. Never did she think that she would talk with Liara, but at this moment, she didn’t have any other choice. She doubted Derik could even listen to them. She prayed to Moon Goddess to send someone for help.
As time passed, ‘Where are you, Theo?’ Liara asked herself again when mud touched her chin. She mind-linked him, but it failed. After a coupled of minutes, it reached her mouth. Liara prayed in her mind, hoping Theodore to come as soon as possible because of the moment her nose went into the mud. She started struggling to breathe.
‘Theo!! Colt!! Where are you both?’ She asked mentally when she closed her eyes to protect them from the mud. Now, she couldn’t see anything, and all she felt trapped in the mud. If someone didn’t drag her out from there for long, then she would die for sure.
She tried to relax as possible, and that was when she sensed pain. It wasn’t her pain but someone’s pain, but whose? She tried to concentrate but failed as she wasn’t able to breathe.
‘Theodore!! Come soon.’
