Chapter 190: Chapter 190
“How can I not?” Liara asked her and hugged her out of the blue. She wasn’t a hugger, but she thought it would be a good way to start something start. Edolie was taken aback by her move. “I’m sorry if my action shocked you.” She muttered, breaking the hug and observing Edolie’s expression.
“I didn’t know how you all greet easy other when you meet. I used to meet mom in the same way.” Liara explained her action, and Theodore didn’t miss her heavy voice when she mentioned her mother.
“Actually, we don’t greet anyone. Everyone mind their own fucking business.” Theodore told her, wrapping his hand around her shoulder and kissing her hair.
Liara didn’t like this rule but didn’t say anything about that.
“You need to wear something because of which you will look like us,” Edolie said, looking at her from top to bottom.
“Umm yeah!! But before that, I need to fix something.” Liara said and walked toward the pups who were fighting. Theodore didn’t stop her and watched where she was going. He knew what was going on in her mind even though she didn’t have to share about it.
“Now I understand why you are so much in love with her!!” Edolie said, to which Theodore looked at her. The day when he arrived at Black council years back, other rogues had kept her hostage and were about to kill Ambrose, using her as his weakness. Theodore wasn’t someone a kind person like Liara; neither did he have a habit of helping someone, but that night watching her crying, begging her to stop hitting her mate, everything reminded him about Liara.
So, unable to stop himself, he saved her mate, and since then, the lady standing in front of him started treating him like a son. She had given birth to five sons, but neither of them could make it in this tough world for long. They all were killed one after another by rogues or other pack members when they tried to fight against them.
“She left everything behind, along with her family, just to be with you. And after learning this, I can’t help but respect her.” Edolie added with a smile. She treated Theodore as her son from day one, even though his feelings for her weren’t the same. “No one does that for their rogue mates.”
“I know.” Theodore agreed and watched Liara grab the arms of both the pups and pull them apart.
“Why are you both fighting?” Liara asked calmly and earned two angry glares from both the pups, but they felt themselves relaxing under her touch.
“Who the hell are you to ask this?”
“Leave me!!” The other pups shouted and bit Liara’s hand. Liara chuckled and let him do what he was doing. The other pup did the same.
“Wow!! I didn’t know you two were friends.” Liara pointed out.
“We’re not.” Both of them spoke.
“But you both applied the same method against me, that too together.”
“No. He copied me.” The pup who bit Liara first pointed out and started to struggle to free himself again.
“Okay!! Stop. Stop!! I will tell you interesting things about these trees around you if you will hear me out.” Liara said, trying to convince him.
“What is that?” The pups asked when she carried both of them in her arms.
“Where are you taking….” Words died in their parent’s mouths when Liara released her aura. When they had to act like parents at that moment, they were busy cheering them for the wrong things. Now, they were acting as if they cared for their pups.

Theodore didn’t stay there to babysit Liara and left from there with his selected trusted people.
“She is something. Just like any Luna, she knows how to win anyone’s heart.” Chris Till, Theodore's most trusted person and beta by blood spoke when they reached the bunker. A place that Theodore had made to protect the families of rogues during any type of attack. If he had to rule, then he had to keep those alive on which he could rule.
“But she is an outsider.” Jake, the most intelligent among rogues, muttered, not able to accept Liara’s identity. Theodore identified his skill and helped him in his studies in the beginning until he started learning on his own. For now, he handled every data related to Black Council, from accounts books to the number of people staying there.
“Exactly,” Moana muttered. She was one of the best warriors in rogues.
“We are not here to discuss my mate,” Theodore said coldly. “What’s the update on the security? Is there any movement in our area?”
“No. No!! No!!”
“But this situation won’t last for long.” Theodore said before adding, “There is a high chance that vampires can attack us or maybe other creatures as well. So, we need to tighten security.”
“But… but why? And how.. I mean, how can you say so?”
“Don’t question me if you want to stay alive,” Theodore responded, diverting the question.
“Well, there is a high chance that we might die in the war as well,” Moana said, crossing her arms around her chest to seduce Theodore. “So, I will question you because this way or that way, we will die. How come you can say with this much confidence that vampires or other creatures will attack us?” She asked in a challenging tone.
Theodore took a deep breath, controlling his temper, trying not to kill her because the people who were loyal to him were also to Ambrose Wayne. If he would kill his daughter for asking the right question, then others would also start questioning him.
