Chapter 130: Chapter 130
Theodore observed how a human, the weakest in the family, had the upper hand over all the supernatural creatures in the house. “I’m sorry.” Calvin apologized and was ready to leave when Sophia spoke, “Calvin Logan Haysbert and Keanu (his wolf), bring your ass back to your chair, or I won’t be talking with you for a month.”
Theodore would have laughed if he wouldn’t have been angry at how a young Alpha was scared of his mother. Calvin huffed and returned to his seat.
“Theo, apologize to your father-in-law, RIGHT NOW,” Sophia ordered Theodore. He kept staring at her, studying how much Liara was similar to like her. “You have no right to talk about my husband’s character.” With how much he knew Sophia, he understood that woman was someone who earned and won respect. Theodore didn’t speak for a couple of seconds and then looked at Brandon.
“I’m sorry, sir.” Theodore apologized, shocking everyone. “I didn’t mean to offend you. My words were directed toward your son.” He explained. He couldn’t understand why the hell he was doing that, maybe because of the woman whom he loved or because of the woman who treated him like her son, no matter what.
“Hmm.” Brandon let the matter go for Sophia’s sake and spoke, “Come on, join us for breakfast.” Theodore nodded his head and joined them as he was super duper hungry.
“Wasn’t expecting that apology from you!!” Calvin remarked.
“Wasn’t expecting this kind of behavior from Sophia Haysbert’s son.” Theodore shot back, settling beside Liara. Both Calvin and Theodore glared at each other, but no one of them spoke a thing next. Theodore didn’t know that he was releasing his aura until he felt Liara’s hand on his thigh.
A helper came near Theodore and served the breakfast on his plate while Theodore took a deep breath to calm him down. At the same time, Liara was having a hard time to breath because Theodore had just released his aura. Any Alpha could realize that he wasn’t some ordinary werewolf because only Lycan or a special wolf could dominate them.
Not just that Theodore's scent was similar to the Lycan who had attacked them.
‘Why do I feel like this silence is before the storm?’ Liara thought when everyone silently ate their breakfast. ‘Did Calvin or dad recognize him and pretend not to know anything? If yes, then why?’ Liara wondered, recalling how Caroline had mentioned that ‘Not everyone was as stupid as she thinks.’.
She was about to remove her hand from his thigh when Theodore finally calmed down, but he held her hand.
Liara looked at him and narrowed her eyes.
Theodore gave her a guilty look. Sorry, This word was written loud and clear on his face. Liara tried to pull her hand from his grip, but she failed.
Little did they know Calvin was watching them and felt that Theodore was forcing himself on Liara. He wanted to do something, but Caroline hit her arm and signaled him to focus on breakfast because she knew the mind of single protective brothers work.
Hell, even in a friendly fight between Artemis and her, they already judge and declare him guilty.
Liara started eating with her left hand instead of getting unnecessary attention from everyone.
“Theo, She is Caroline, my first child. She is architecture by profession.” Sophia introduced them. “Most of the supernatural creatures consult her for building her pack house and many more things.” Theodore gave her a nod, on which she smiled. “She is mated to Artemis Gosling; he is the CEO of the Gosling Hotels. She herself is CEO of CART Associates & Construction.”
“And he is my younger son, Calvin. He is the Alpha of the Blood Moon Pack and CEO of Haysbert Production House.”
Theodore and Calvin just glared at each other and didn’t exchange a word.
“Hehhehehe!!”
“And these two are my granddaughters,” Sophia said when Roselet and Arline came inside giggling, holding hands. They quickly hide behind the Curtain. “The girl with black hair is Arline, Caro’s daughter, and The girl with brown hair is Rose, Calvin’s daughter.”
After a few minutes, a boy came inside. “And he is Artin, my grandson, Caro’s son.”
“And you both know him already; he is…”
“No one,” Calvin commented. “If we know him, that’s because of my sisters; otherwise, he is no one. No background. No identity. No status. There is nothing special about him because of which we need an introduction, Mom.” He mocked, grinning widely.
