‘Moon Goddess!! Where did Mom send me? That too alone.’ Liara mentally cried when she entered that place that she had never visited before. She wanted to turn her heels and leave there, only to never return back to this place.

“Yes?” The girl sitting in the reception looked at her from top to bottom and then narrowed her eyes. “Sorry, but the appointment is booked for today.” She said and mumbled, “Not that you can afford.” Liara heard even that part, but she didn’t mind it because she had inbuilt a habit of listening to all this nonsense.

“Umm.. There is an appointment fo…for Liara Haysbert.” Liara spoke in a low tone.

“What?”

“Th..there is an appointment in the name of..of Liara Haysbert.” She repeated again but this time a little loud. The receptionist raised her eyebrow before speaking.

“Oh!! You are the one.” She said in a tone as if she was waiting for Liara, which she indeed was. “Go straight and take the first right. Tell them you’re Liara. They will get to know what they have to do. There is a special booking for you.”

Liara nodded her head, “Thank you.”

‘Why does Mom have to spend so much money on booking a special treatment?’ She wondered, shaking her head. Just like the receptionist had told her, she said the same to the employees whom she found, and it looked like everyone knew about her.

Soon, they started with Liara’s full body wax. Liara bit her inner cheeks, feeling that they were extremely rough at her. She recalled that the beautician that Alpha Kane didn’t torture her even though that process was a little painful, but these humans were rude toward her body or maybe this was the way all these things work in the human world.

Destiny was fuming in anger by sitting in the back seat of her mind; she was silently soothing the pain of her human with her power.

“It’s hurting. Can you please be a little gentle?” She requested softly.

“I’m sorry, but you’re receiving the best.” Liara sensed that the woman was lying, but she didn’t have any proof to say that. She really wished her mother would had been here. She stayed quiet, thinking about the last night. She really hoped that tonight she would be able to convince Theo to keep his mouth shut.

At the same time, one after another, all the things that were happening to her were making her look uglier than she actually was in front of her eyes.

“I... I don’t like the shape of the eyebrow.” Liara pointed out when she saw her way too thin eyebrow.

“Just trust the end result, Miss. We know what we are doing. And if you don’t trust us, then trust the person who booked your appointment. Now, please close your eyes and listen to the music. So that we can finish our work.”

“Okay!” Liara agreed and started listening to relaxing music to calm herself down. She heard the sound of scissors at her hair and recalled that how her mother had asked her to get her hair set.

“It’s done.” Liara heard when a lady standing beside her spoke, shaking her shoulder, after fifteen minutes. With a smile, she opened her eyes, but her smile fainted when she saw the woman in the mirror, having no eyebrows and uneven boy-cut hair. Some were long; some were short.

Tears welled in her eyes, but she didn’t let them fall down from there. She looked at the employees and asked calmly.

“Why?” She couldn’t understand why did they play that stunt? She was about to ask again when she sensed a familiar scent. She then got the answer to her question on her own.

“Ah. My sister looks hideous for her date.” Tiara said, walking inside. Liara had no idea how she landed here. Either she would have taken flight ten hours ago, or… or Caroline would have teleported her here with her power. The chance of another option was a little more because there was a faint scent of Caroline lingering on Liara’s clothes.

But Liara was sure that Caroline wasn’t around.

“There is nothing to get jealous about it, Tee. It was dad’s plan.”

“Really?” Tiara signaled everyone to leave for a while. She was the brand ambassador of that beauty parlor, so no one dared to cross her order when she asked them to make Liara look horrible. “Then what the hell were you doing in his room last night? Smell like him? Did dad tell him that too?” Tiara growled in anger.

Liara couldn’t answer that question. No, that part wasn’t dad’s order. It was her decision. But whatever happened next was the demand of time.

“Why are you looking at the floor?” Tiara asked, grabbing Liara’s chin tightly. Liara whimpered in pain when Tiara dug her nails into her skin.

“You’re hurting me, Tee.” Liara reminded her. Tiara had never done this before. What the hell a mate bond was forcing her to do?

“I’m returning the same thing that you gave to me, Sweetheart. Why did you do that? I told you that I wanted Theodore for all myself, then why did you try to snatch him from me?” Tiara hissed in again, and her wolf tried to come out. Tears escaped Liara’s eyes, looking at her sister’s behavior. Tiara let go of Liara’s chin and kept glaring at her.

“I di.. didn’t t.try to do su..” Words died in her face when Liara received a tight slap across her face.

“Dare you to lie, bitch. Because I know, Mom didn’t lie to me. She told me how Theodore cooked dinner for your last night, and finally, you even ate that. Didn’t I ask you to stay away from you?” Tiara asked in rage while Liara sobbed, realizing no matter what she would say, Tiara wouldn’t believe her.

Destiny was pacing in Liara’s mind in anger, trying not to hurt someone whom Liara cared about a lot.

“Ah!!” Liara whimpered when Tiara grabbed her uneven-cut hair and made her look in the mirror.

“Look at your face and then mine. Do you think that you stand a chance against me?” Tiara asked. “I’m telling you to stay away from your betterment, Lee!! OR you will always remain a mistress in his life because, in the human world, I will be the one and only woman who would be his wife. Find someone else for yourself, or I swear I will make your life a living hell.”

Liara hit Tiara’s face with her elbow because it looked like she would pull out her hair from her head which made her fall to the ground.

“I’m sorry!! I’m sorry, Tee.” Liara apologized and reached her to help her in standing on her feet.

“Why are you apologizing? Go ahead, hurt me and kill my pup.” Tiara barked at her.

‘Kill my pup.’ These three words widened Liara’s eyes. She now started feeling guilty for hitting Tiara while Destiny scoffed.

‘Look at the acting of this bitch, how she turned from abuser to victim.’
