Chapter 116: Chapter 116
As usual, Liara walked into the kitchen in the middle of the night to eat something because she had skipped dinner as she needed time to process everything. She opened the refrigerator again in search of her dinner.
‘Strange!! Mom knew that I didn’t have my dinner; still, there is no extra food here.’ She thought and then grabbed the milk from there. She then looked for the box of cornflakes, but surprisingly it was empty. But how was that possible? It was almost full till last night.
After that, she looked for bread. Even it was not there. She drank all milk when she didn’t find anything in the refrigerator that she wouldn’t have to cook.
But she was still hungry. It was hard to believe that her mother wouldn’t have made dinner for her. Even in her own home and in her own kitchen, she felt like a stranger because she didn’t know where was cookies, noodles or chips, or anything instant ready-to-eat food.
‘You should buy a book name ‘How to cook?’ Destiny suggested, adding fuel to Liara’s hunger. All of a sudden, they sensed Theodore. Liara used to avoid him at this moment by taking her bowl to her room. Tonight, she had nothing.
She started leaving the kitchen without looking in his direction, knowing that he was standing at the entrance of the kitchen. Theodore grabbed her wrist, stopping her from ignoring him again. He had to talk with her about his plan of revealing himself.
“I can cook for you.”
“I’m not feeling hungry.” She responded, and at the same time, her stomach growled in hunger, turning her cheeks red.
Theodore chuckled before speaking, “Your stomach says otherwise, Lia.”
“It’s Liara.” Liara corrected him and jerked his hand away from her.
“Please stay!! I was the one who ate the food that was for you because I was looking for a moment to talk with you. And I promised, Mom, that I won’t let you sleep with a hungry stomach, not tonight, not ever in your life.”
Liara tried to understand the meaning of his sentence because It wasn’t as simple as it sounded.
‘Please stay,’ Destiny requested Liara. Liara finally decided to stay, not breaking her wolf’s heart.
“Thank you!!” Theodore spoke when Liara when inside the kitchen. He quickly opened the refrigerator to take out the chicken to make chicken confit with sauce Viergo. Something that he had learned tonight after spending an hour with Sophia when she was preparing the dinner and then ended up eating Liara’s share as well to remember its taste before making it for Liara.
“Your father said that he planned a date for us, and you agreed to that.” Theodore tried to initiate the conversation and also recalled how Brandon was informing the same with so much attitude. “Was that true?”
“Yes!! But that doesn’t mean you will get a chance to plant some vampires to kidnap me.” Liara said curtly, revealing to him that she knew what he had planned for her. She watched how his eyes filled with guilt, but he didn’t say SORRY for that because sorry was such a small word for the things that he did to her.
“I heard your conversation with your father. Why didn’t you tell him the full truth? Hiding the truth from your father? Hmm.” He asked, and this time Liara started feeling guilty. “Whom are you trying to save? Your family members from me or Me from your family members?”
Liara went silent when Theodore questioned and turned her head in another direction. Neither of them spoke a thing after that. Theodore could feel her eyes on his back all the time, and he enjoyed that. He knew if he would turn around to look at her, she would avert her eyes in another direction.
Liara silently watched Theodore’s each and every movement. His back looked so hot. She could see his tiny pony. She wanted to touch it, touch his hair. She tried not to think about running her fingers in them. Her core clenched, recalling her night with him.
She didn’t realize how time flew until Theodore arranged chicken confit with sauce viergo on the plate beautifully.
“Your dinner is ready!!” He whispered, reaching her. Liara looked at the plate and inhaled his scent because the smell of food was nothing in front of him. It was true that his scent didn’t act like a drug to her because of the rejection, but she recalled how she was so much in love with his scent once. Destiny just wanted to jump on her mate all the time.
“Where would you like to eat it? Here or in the bedroom.” He asked next.
‘Can we eat him? Well, eating him in both the Kitchen and in the bedroom sounds tempting.’ Destiny said, getting excited.
“In my room,” Liara replied, to which Destiny growled at her in anger. She was being extra rude to him.
“Hmm” Theodore nodded his head because he knew something like that was going to happen. But he also noticed how her feet had glued to the floor, and she didn’t move an inch. “I want to say a lot of things, Lia. But I know you won’t trust me. At the same time, I’m the reason because of why you’re living in this guilt for hiding the truth from your family members. That’s why I will reveal the truth in front of everyone next week when we visit the werewolf King.”
Liara’s heartbeat rose when she heard it.
“I don’t know what will happen next, but I promise that I won’t try to protect myself until you gather the courage, to tell the truth in front of everyone. The truth that you asked your mate to make love to you.” Theodore said, gritting his teeth. His blood boiled when he came to know that Liara was letting everyone think that some random vampire raped her, seriously? “The moment I had realized that I wanted you. I had made sure that I would embrace death happily if I failed. It’s not that I can’t live without you; it’s just that I don’t even want to try.”
Theodore didn’t wait there for a second more and left from there, leaving Liara in shock and scared.
‘He won’t do that. He is just bluffing.’ She told herself, but her blood ran cold when she thought, what if this wouldn’t be a joke?
The color of her face paled at the thought of Theodore getting punched and kitchen by everyone. It was a memory of the incident that happened in the college. Her heart was bleeding when those vampires were treating him as a punching bag.
And what the hell was he expecting? To tell the truth? That too in front of everyone. He got to be joking about that part because she had never opened her mouth in front of whole her family members. Telling everything about it was something that she wouldn’t do.
‘Calm down, Lee!! Tomorrow is date night, right? Convince him not to do anything like that.’ Destiny suggested. She didn’t know about her human, but she couldn’t sit quietly if anyone would raise their hands at him.
She might end up doing something that no one could expect.
At the same time, Liara was worried sick. She had already been changing the blood sample of Theodore twice that her father collected. But it looked like she wouldn't be able to save him if he would plan to do something like that.

"Boss, the blood sample that your father sent for the first time belonged to your sister, Liara. And the sample that he sent the second time belonged to any vampire. Neither of them matched with the blood sample of the hybrid we are looking for."
Colton sighed, realizing someone was messing with his plan, and if he wasn't wrong, then it was her sister who was trying to keep her mate safe, just like she did the first time.
'But not anymore, Lee!! Not anymore. Next week when he will land in New York. I will be ready to give him a welcome gift.' Colton thought.
