"How do you know about that?" Theodore asked in shock because he was positive that no one was around when all this incident had happened.

"I can see and talk with souls, and there is one in my house," Sophia replied, to which Theodore looked around the room in search of souls, but then, his eyes couldn't see that. "Your turn now."

'I thought she was a human.' Inigo muttered.

'Well, she is a human but with powers.' Theodore revealed before finally telling her the truth. The moment he was about to stop, he received another slap.

No matter how much it was hurting her, she just couldn't stop herself.

Theodore's fist clenched in anger when Sophia started punching him. He tried not to attack her back, but his body moved without his permission, and he grabbed Sophia's neck.

"I… I'm sorry." He apologized, removing his hand when he realized what the hell he was about to do. He sighed in relief when he realized that his fingerprints weren't on her neck because he didn't hold her neck for more than a second.

"Apologize to that person whom you've hurt." She said, glaring at him and holding her hand. She wouldn't be surprised if her hand would appear to be a fracture in tomorrow's X-ray report because Theodore had a body of steel.

"Just because my daughter is kind and naive. It doesn't mean she is weak. I'm glad that she mustered all her courage and rejected you. And the fact that you haven't accepted her rejection means that you want to try but guess what? Your tricks won't work."

Theodore didn't question her 'why?' thinking she was going to tell everyone the truth. He just watched her turn her heels and leave there.

'Why does she not tell anyone about me?' Theodore wondered and focused on eating his dinner. She couldn't understand what was going on in her head.

'Is she planning anything against me?' Theodore asked Inigo, who had no clue about it. He knew there was only one person who could help him now.

After finishing the dinner, he excused himself and called Alaric, his friend and his advisor, and told him everything.

"Stop thinking that she is planning anything against you. Just because you plan and plot against someone else. You think about others in the same way. But there are kind people in the world too." Alaric explained.

"See, Liara knew that you're half vampire still; she trusted you and invited you into the pack. She knew that her family members might kill you. Still, she saved your life. In the same way, Mrs. Haysbert didn't use her words to express it, but she trusts you that you can fix the damage that you've done in her daughter's life."

"But she said, 'my tricks won't work.'" Theodore pointed out.

"Maybe that's because she wanted to motivate you indirectly," Alaric responded. "And in case you don't believe me, you can ask the same from her."

"I don't know much about her, but I can feel that your Lia is her carbon copy in terms of kindness," Alaric added.

'Your Lia, ' Theodore felt something in his heart, hearing this.

At the same time, someone knocked on his door; disconnecting the call, he opened it and found Tiara with a big smile at his doorstep.

"Let's go on a long drive." She said, showing her the car keys.

"Is your sister joining us as well?" Theodore asked, and immediately, her smile faded.

"No. It's my plan. But if you want, I can ask her to join us."

"Yeah!! That will be great."

"Just a minute," Tiara mumbled and went toward Liara's room.

"I don't want to join you both. Please enjoy without me." Liara responded and declined Tiara's words.

"Why are you doing this?" Tiara asked, frowning.

"For you. Don't tell me that you wanted me between you and him." Liara said and started reading her books again. Tiara snatched that damn book from her hand and glared at her.

"Really? You're helping me or helping yourself?" Tiara asked. "I know what you are trying to do, Lee!! But that won't be here. You are ignoring him to get his attention. I know this pretending game."

"Really? If you think that I'm playing some game, then why don't you start playing this game too? Then he will start giving the same attention."

"You're acting like you don't care, but deep down, you're jealous that I got marked by him while you are behind me as always."

"Keep telling that to yourself to satisfy your ego. Do you think I'm interested in him and trying to get his attention? Then for your kind information, I have already rejected him. He is the one who is not accepting it."

Tiara was taken aback at this discovery. She couldn't believe what she had just heard.

"I don't want him anywhere near me. I don't give a damn whether he marked you first. And the most important one, I'm not jealous of you. Enjoy your time with YOUR mate and if it's in your hand, then keep his eyes and his hands to yourself." Liara snapped at her.
