Chapter 45: Chapter 45
~ The Next Day~
Princess Megan awoke to the gentle touch of Yolanda's hand encircling her waist, enveloping her in a loving embrace from behind. The memories of their blissful time together the previous night still lingered in her mind.
Having returned from visiting Belinda in her cell, Megan made her way back to her chamber, where Yolanda had prepared a romantic dinner.
The sight that greeted her was breathtaking: a bed adorned with roses, delicately illuminated by twinkling lights. Overwhelmed with emotion and joy, Megan couldn't resist the overwhelming urge to express her love for Yolanda, bypassing the dinner entirely.

In that moment, Megan's heart was filled with profound gratitude for Yolanda's thoughtful gestures.
The beauty of the setup evoked a deep emotional response within her, intensifying her desire to be intimately connected with Yolanda.
The dinner, although undoubtedly delicious, paled in comparison to the burning passion that consumed Megan's thoughts.
Megan's face lit up with a wide grin as she turned her gaze towards Yolanda, who was still peacefully asleep. Yolanda's arms held onto her tightly, as if afraid to let go.
Filled with love, Megan gently traced her finger along Yolanda's cheek, causing a fluttering reaction as Yolanda squinted her eyes.
"Good morning, my love," Megan whispered, leaning in to plant a tender kiss on Yolanda's forehead. Yolanda's lips curved into a broad smile as she felt the touch of Megan's lips against her skin.
"You know I love it when you wake me up like that," Yolanda mumbled, her eyes opening as she gazed deeply into Megan's soul.
Megan chuckled and continued to caress Yolanda's cheeks. "It's morning now. We should get out of bed," Megan uttered, to which Yolanda pouted.
"Argh! Can't we just spend the entire day together for once? This feels so exhausting," Yolanda replied, pulling Megan even closer and embracing her tightly, as if she wanted to merge their beings together.
"We will, Yolanda. I promise, it's something I must fulfill. But for now, we have work to do. I need to visit Belinda. I doubt she had a restful night in that cell," Megan said, her expression shifting to one of concern.
"Hmm... I still don't fully understand what truly transpired between her and Isla," Yolanda replied, her gaze lost in contemplation.
"One thing I am certain of is that Belinda would never do such a thing to her. Isla must have fabricated it, and once the truth comes to light, she will face the consequences. I'm relieved that you and her are no longer friends."
"That will never happen again," Yolanda responded, and they exchanged smiles. Megan proceeded to rise from the bed, with Yolanda following suit, picking up her clothes from the floor beside the bed.
"Do you want to come with me to see Belinda?" Megan asked from the other side of the bed.
Yolanda turned back, a smile gracing her lips as she nodded. "I'd love to," she replied, and Megan grinned.
"Great," she exclaimed happily.
Once dressed, Megan and Yolanda made their way to the cell. Megan softly called out Belinda's name, waiting anxiously for a response, but there was only silence.
"Belinda?" she called again, receiving the same eerie quietness in return.
"Did they already take her somewhere?" Yolanda asked, prompting Megan to release her grip on the cell bars and rush towards the nearest guard.
The guard had stepped aside as they approached the cell.
"Hey! Where is she? Where did they take her?!" Megan's voice quivered with worry and anger.
"Princess Megan, Miss Belinda hasn't been taken anywhere. She is still in there," he replied, his head lowered.
"She's not in there! I've called out to her several times, but there's been no response. Belinda wouldn't ignore my voice. Open the gates," Megan demanded, her patience wearing thin.
Amidst Yolanda's futile attempts to call out Belinda's name, met with unbroken silence, Megan sensed that something was amiss.
"But Princess Megan, the king..." the guard started to explain.
"I told you to open the gates! That's an order!" Megan asserted, exerting her authority for the first time in a while.
"Yes, my Princess," the guard stammered, reaching for the key in his pocket before hastily returning to the gate.
Megan followed closely behind him, watching as he unlocked the door. Pushing him aside, she hurried into the dimly lit cell.
"Belinda?!" she called out, her eyes struggling to adjust to the darkness. And then, she spotted Belinda lying on the bed.
"She's on the bed, Yolanda," Megan whispered, rushing to her side. She sat down next to Belinda and lightly tapped her at first.
Upon touching Belinda's hand, Megan felt an intense heat radiating from her skin, as if she were on fire.
"Belinda!" Megan cried out, shaking her arm vigorously as she realized Belinda had lost consciousness.
"Fetch my healer! Go, get my healer!" Megan yelled, locking eyes with Yolanda, who quickly hurried out to fetch the healer upon hearing Megan's urgent plea.
"Belinda, it's me... Megan. Please, wake up," Megan pleaded, her eyes filling with tears as her voice trembled while addressing the unconscious Belinda.
The mere thought of any harm befalling Belinda filled her with overwhelming dread. "I swear, Isla, if anything happens to Belinda, I'll make you pay. I swear," she groaned, cradling Belinda's limp upper body in her arms.
As Megan buried her face in Belinda's warm neck, the cell gates swung open. Startled, she quickly lifted her head and saw Yolanda and the healer rushing towards her.
"She... she has lost consciousness," Megan stuttered, her healer taking Belinda from her arms and placing her carefully on the bed.
"Please, tell me she'll be okay. Will she recover? Why did she faint?" Megan bombarded the healer with questions, her worry evident.
Yolanda swiftly grasped Megan's arm and said, "Megan, you're going to distract the healer. Let's wait outside."
Megan shook her head in disagreement, about to protest, when her healer interjected, "Princess Megan, I believe you should listen to Yolanda."
Reluctantly, Megan nodded and allowed Yolanda to guide her out of the cell. Once outside, Megan enveloped Yolanda in a tight embrace, her tears streaming down her face.
"I'm so scared for her, Yolanda. She doesn't deserve this," Megan mumbled, her voice filled with anguish, as Yolanda nodded, gently stroking her hair.
"No, she doesn't. But she'll be fine. She's in the care of the healer. Everything will be alright," Yolanda reassured, though uncertain about the nature of Belinda's condition. She simply needed Megan to find some solace.
After waiting anxiously in front of the cell gate for around twenty minutes, it finally opened. Both Megan and Yolanda wore expressions of deep concern and fear as they eagerly awaited news from the healer.
"How is she? Is she conscious now?" Megan asked, her voice filled with trepidation, while Yolanda mirrored her worry.
"Yes, Princess Megan. She is conscious," the healer replied, prompting Megan to release a sigh of profound relief, turning to hug Yolanda tightly once again.
"But there's something else," the healer added, causing their hearts to race within their chests.
"What?" Yolanda asked, their gazes fixed on the healer.
"Miss Belinda is pregnant."
