Xavier's POV.
My eyes popped out in shock as I stared at Sophia on the floor bleeding as she winces in pain.
I couldn't just understand what was going on.
I couldn't just understand why Rose won't die, why was death running away from her at all times, she is the person I needed her death at all cost, even if I dies, I won't regret it if she follows me into the land of the dead, just now, I thought she would be finished with me...
The bullet could have penetrated straight to her forehead and that would be her end, why on earth did Sophia appear all of a sudden and save her not minding the pain she would pass through...
The fact that it was Sophia that did it was shocking to me, as much as I could remember, they had been some kind of rival and got no connection together, why the sacrifice...??
"Xavier!!!!!..do you know the implication of all this???..you will be killed!!!!" The governor screamed at the top of his voice moving helter-skelter...
It was clear that the agent was already trouping in...
"She caused all this!!!..her existence on earth made me the devil I am, she made me become evil with that voice, I would die but she is also going with me!!" I blurted with disgust and hatred.
Seeing Rose still breathing is just what I hate so much...
"Stop the killing and find a way you son of a b**h!!!" The governor yelled again but I wasn't listening...
We both knew that the president has hand in this and had called upon the SWAT team which are ranked the best.
What way is the requesting??..there is no way out, we would finally pay for our evil...
"We can't escape this, but at least we can end the life of the very person who caused it!!" I bellowed and pointed the gun straight to her chest, right at the point where her heartbeats...
Even if I succeeded in killing Rose only, I'm satisfied...
I could now hear the footsteps of the agent trouping in, I can also hear the voice of Bryan, Jace, Kelvin and the president, they were all heading here to save Rose.
Sophia must have been the first to rush here because of Fred, can't believe she was able to save Rose the first time.
Her eyes were on me as I pointed the gun to Rose, she was grunting in pain with her eyes pleading for me to put down the gun...
Fred was also groaning in weakness and excruciating pain, he couldn't move any of his body but was also pleading with his eyes and deep groan.
They all wanted Rose to live, they wants her to be alive but that is the last thing in my mind.....
I'll kill her just the moment Bryan walks in...
I want him to experience her death with his eyes,
The governor was overwhelmed at my act, he was thinking of how to save his life why I had only one intention, killing Rose...
That alone baffled him...
"They must not catch me here!!" He stuttered in fear before sneaking out with his men shielding him...
I glanced at him as he ran off, there is no doubt the agents would overpower his men and still get hold of him...
Standing there waiting for the footsteps which were already very close, they must be in front of the door now...
I quickly cocked the gun and positioned it well with one of my eyes closed.
I would never fail this shot, even if I die, Bryan would never remain the same knowing that Rose was killed by me after all his struggle...
It is a real victory for me!!
Just then, as expected...
The door sprang on and Bryan and some agent was the first to rush in...
Seeing me point the gun straight to Rose left him and the other stiffed to a point...
"Finally you are here...you would watch her die now!!!!!" I growled and before anyone could make a move, I fired three shots straight to her chest........
Sophia's POV.
The pain over my body was too much that I almost lose consciousness...
Being with Fred was the best moment of my life, it all started as a joke, it started like something which won't work out.
How could o ever thought of having a poor fan as my boyfriend...
I had always been the centre of attraction, I had always drawn the attention of billionaires and other singers from every part of the world, Bryan was the one who caught my heart and we fell in love...
How would I had known it wasn't true love but a feeling out of who we are and what we got...
Till Rose appeared, I found out the real essence of love, love that emanates from nothing.
The love that gives no reason for loving, of leaves you confused at why you fall in love, Bryan was the greatest singer with fame but Rose caught his tender heart with nothing...
She just showed him love and made him look down on the commoner she was...
I watched their love bloom, I watched how they went deeper in love to the extent that a minute away was like a year...
I saw the shattered Bryan when he was tricked by Rose death and then I understood what this love is all about...
I understood the bond that drew souls together and make them one...
I thought I can never experience such not until Fred came, he promised of protecting me because of the love he had, I laughed it off till I saw him complete his promise, he was ever ready to even die for me...
He knew how ruthless and deadly Xavier is but he took the risk for me, my heart couldn't hold back the love...
Just the very moment I heard that Fred and Rose were right in the governor's house, I couldn't wait for a second...
I sped off immediately, they informed me that Kelvin had called upon the SWAT team but I wasn't satisfied, I want to go right in there and save my love.
I want to also risk my life to save him because he is worth all I got...
I was quick to locate the secret room where they by following the governor's creepy moves when I sneaked in...
When the agent surrounded the house and was still giving the notice, I had dashed in...
Getting to the door of the room, I heard the word that shook me...
It was from Xavier and it showed he was about to kill Rose.
At first, I was afraid to go in and do anything, but just then I felt an intense touch in my heart.
The face of Rose flashed through repeatedly, her smiles and innocent face filled my memory.
I can't explain but someway somehow, I felt she had a connection with me, I recalled the past when I couldn't hurt her...
Right here and now, she is about to be killed, just the thought sent goose pimple all over me, she mustn't die or I would never forgive myself...
I had run in at that moment only to see Xavier about to pull the trigger.
It was like a great impulse...
I had always been afraid of pain and won't want one but this time around, I forgot about the pain, all that covered my mind was Rose whose face sent shivers through me.
I felt like there was a glimmer of resemblance.
With speed and the adrenalin that secreted through my bloodstream, I jumped into the space and took the bullet which got straight into my back...
It was damn terrible but I managed to smile seeing that Fred was alive and had thanked me with his eyes...
He had given me a little weak smile making me feel like a hero which he was.
As I fell, I thought my sacrifice was stupid, Xavier could still shoot her again...
I just wonder why Fred would smile not till this moment when Xavier shot to Rose again right In front of Bryan only to find out that there were no more bullets remaining...
I had taken the last one...
That was why Fred smile, he must have known from the beginning.
Bryan's POV...
I felt like I would die, I felt my world crumbling, I couldn't move,
No one could take a step, it was clear he had cocked the gun and his hand was placed on the trigger...
He should have run before we came but he only wants Rose to die and not just to die but die right in front of me...
He knew what that would cause me...entire life of grieve and misery!!..
Words can't explain how I trembled seeing him smirk and drew his finger closer to pull the trigger...
I glanced at Rose and saw she was worn out and exhausted, I glanced at Fred, he wasn't moving...
Sophia was also on the floor bleeding...
I felt weak and couldn't think anymore...
My eyes went wet as I stared in horror as Xavier said those words and pulled the trigger.....
I screamed in terror but went dumb later when I found out the sound of the gun was from an agent and not Xavier...
His gun had made a clicking sound showing there was no more bullet...
An agent was the one who had fired a late quick shot to stop him...
My eyes dilated and I felt life seep back to me, Jace, Clara and Kelvin who had been transfixed in horror and fear got back to their sense seeing that Rose wasn't killed.
The bullet from the agent had gone into Xavier's arm weakening him...
He growled deeply and glared at Rose with the most devilish look I had ever seen...
He flung the gun with a deep grunt feeling so furious that Rose lives on...
Before we could rush to Rose, Fred and Sophia to help them...
He made the step first to stab Rose with the dagger he slipped out but couldn't make three steps forward before his legs got blasted with three bullets from the agents...
He fell with a loud thud and stretched out towards Rose.
"Why can't....you...just die!!!!" He bellowed in pain and hatred.
The agents raised him and smack his head on the wall, they took the butt of their gun and disfigured his face that I couldn't even recognize him...
Once ever, I saw Xavier plead for mercy.
Oh Really???
The rope binding Rose and Fred was cut off and I made to carry Rose in my arm carefully feeling so sad and devastated that she went through the pain again but someone was more swift and quick than me...
It was kelvin, he took her from me and ran heading off to the ambulance.
I rushed to Sophia and took her from the agent who was taking her away...
Fred was also carried by Jace...
We all hurried off...
