What???
How can this be even possible? When there is no husband-wife relationship between us. How can someone get pregnant by staying in two different rooms?
I have food poisoning and she thinks I am pregnant. Ohh God!!! Kunwar Sa will bury me alive now. I have made such a big blunder. Now I have to tell them the truth that what they are thinking is not true.
Her heart will be broken after knowing the truth. But I have no other choice. I have to do this.
Seeing Kunwar Sa's face, I can say that, he is not out of shock yet.
"Maa Sa, you have got a misunderstanding. There is nothing like that." While sitting on the bed I told her and she looked at me being confused.
"What are you saying?....." Maa Sa was speaking but Pitaji stopped her gesturing with his eyes telling something to her. What only God knows. Or they know.
Pitaji came near me. "Dear, are you feeling unwell?" Pitaji asked me stroking my hair.
"Yes, Pitaji. I have food poisoning."
Looking down I said in a low tone. I know he won't like it if he gets to know that I get sick having outside food.
"Have you eaten outside food again?" He asked me again but on in an angry but concerned voice. And I just nodded.
"Why you didn't tell me that your stomach is upset? I could have given you medicine. You have been suffering since last night. Right?"
Kunwar sa immediately came to the other side of the bed and sat next to me while asking.
'Is he really concerned about me or he's just showing off in front of everyone?' I thought in my mind.
"Were you in Mars, that you did not sense, the person next to you, who is your religious wife, is in pain? She has food poisoning so must be going to the bathroom all night. Then how couldn't you understand this small thing that she's unwell?"
Maa Sa scolds him because of his carelessness. Poor Kunwar Sa. Because of me, he had to bear earful scolding. He wasn't at fault. Cause I didn't come back to the room from the bathroom. The whole night I was in the bathroom.
"I didn't realize." He said in a low tone looking down with a dull face.
"He must have been in deep sleep. That's why he didn't realize it. Even if a person dies, this man will continue to sleep."
Glaring at Kunwar Sa Bhai Sa spat at him and left the room.
"C'mon give a break. He's not at fault. So don't scold him because of me. I didn't tell him on purpose. Cause he would have gotten worried about me." I stand for him.
"He would not sleep the whole night and does not let anyone else sleep
He can't see me in pain. That's why I hide this matter from him on purpose. I didn't want him to worry about me. I thought I'll be alright till the morning." I said in a small voice making a cute puppy face.
I don't want them to accuse him of my sickness. When I was in pain last night he was sleeping peacefully. Once he asked me when he heard me groaning in pain. But I didn't said him what actually happened to me.
"You guys don't worry, I will be fine after taking medicine," I said meekly.
"Your highness, now go and bring medicine for her, at least you can do this much for your wife, can't you?"
Pitaji asked him while glaring at him. He was really upset because of his carelessness.
"Baba Sa, Vikram has gone to get medicine already," Jija inform him and he nodded.
He patted my head and left the room taking Maa Sa with him. Jija also went out after passing me a concerned fill look.
Kunwar Sa was sitting with me holding his forehead and looking down. I don't know what'll he do now with me. It's all my fault. He had stopped me many times saying not to have too much Pani Puri. But I didn't listen to him.
"Sorry." I apologize in a low tone playing with my finger while lying half on the bed leaning on the headboard. He looked at me from the corner of his eye.
I don't know what type of look he was giving me. Without saying anything he get up and went to the balcony. I saw him standing near the railing holding it tightly.
"Naina." At that time Bhai Sa stepped inside holding a packet in his hand along with Jija. Jija came with a plate full of fruits.
"Have some fruits first then take these medicines. You haven't eaten anything. And it's not good to have medicine on empty stomach. So have them."
Saying that she pass me the plate making me sit by placing her hand on my back. Bhai Sa was looking at Kunwar Sa Who was still standing there facing his back towards us.
"What happened to him? Why is he standing outside like this?"
Jija asked me in a whisper and I just shrugged my shoulders. I have no idea what happened to him. Why he is behaving so weirdly?
I ate a few pieces of mango and drank the water. I love mango but this time I really don't want to eat anything much. What if I vomit again? Bhai sa pass me some tablets and I gulped them with water.
"Now rest for a while." Patting my cheek she said with love.
"But you guys have a return flight after a while," I asked them with a sad face.
"Yeah, so what? Devar Sa is here. You just take some rest."
Jija spoke and Bhai Sa pass me a knowing smile.
"Okay. But give me a call before you guys leave. I want to see you off, guys."
They nod and walked off.
I looked at him, he was still in his previous state. Ignoring him I lay down on the bed covering me.
I heard Kunwar Sa's voice in my sleep. I blinked my eyes and saw his blurred face. I closed my eyes again and then again opened them. Now I can see him clearly.
"Yes."
"They are about to leave. Come on, get up."
He pulled the sheet away from me after that I get up and went to wash my face.
After freshening up I went out and found them all ready to leave. Kunwar Sa is going to drop them at the airport they told us that they'll manage but I insist.
"Come to Udaipur early. We will keep waiting for you."
Saying that Maa Sa kissed my forehead then I touched her feet. She blessed me with good wishes. Pitaji also blessed me.
"Dear, I want to ask you something, come to a corner."
He took me to my room where they were living these days.
"Tell me honestly, are you happy with him? If not then feel free to tell me. I'm your Pitaji. I can't bear to see you in pain. Tell me beta?"
He asked me with a concern fill tone making a worried face.
I gave him my best fake smile. "Don't worry Pitaji, I'm very happy. Kunwar is very good. He takes good care of me. Do not let anything feel lacking. He fulfills my every small wish."
"You're happy, then why can't I see happiness in your eyes? I'm your father. Not biological but I raised you. I know you well." He said caught me off guard. I swallowed the lump in my throat.
"And what did you think, I didn't understand that you two are acting like a happy couple in front of us. You both played your role very well. Your Maa Sa didn't even suspect you guys. Well done. But you can't fool me with your childish trick. I'm old enough to understand such little things." He said in a dangerously serious tone.
"Pitaji." I looked down getting caught.
"Beta, I have done wrong with you. I got you married to him even after knowing that he loves someone else. And I didn't even tell you about this. I'm a sinner. How can I do this with you? How can I be so selfish? I can't forgive myself for destroying your life." He looked guilty.
"Pitaji, I already know about his relationship with other women a long ago. He had told me about this on our wedding night." I said.
"So that means you two....." He stopped in the middle purposely and looked at me with sympathy look.
"I'm a sorry beta." He was on the verge of crying.
"Pitaji, There is no fault of yours in this. It's my destiny. Don't worry. That girl has now gone far away from his life. Now there is no one among us. I am sure everything will be alright very soon." I assured him.
"Don't tell anything to Maa Sa. She is very emotional." Pitaji nodded at me.
"May God fill your life with happiness."
Pitaji blessed me with a smile. And I closed my eyes feeling blessed to get a father like him.
We both went out before someone came for us.
Bhai Sa hugged me and also Jija. We all went to the ground floor. Kunwar Sa and all of them get in his car and drove off. I wave my hand saying bye until their car is visible to me.
