Extreme Almightiest Young Master Chapter 62
Li Wenkai and Sun Qiang with their group arrived at the Kaiyue Hotel they often frequented. It wasn’t even 8 o’clock yet, but when the hotel staff saw these wealthy youths coming, they immediately woke up the still-sleeping general manager to attend to them.
"Young Master Li, how come you’ve come so early? How would you like to proceed?" Mr. Chen, the general manager, asked respectfully, unsure why these young masters were there so early, possibly not for dining.
He might be called the general manager, but he’s really a senior executive, who couldn’t afford to offend these wealthy youths.
"Get a private room, we’re drinking!" Li Wenkai said tersely and then led the group inside.
"Alright, then the Monarch Hall it is," Mr. Chen swiftly led the way, escorting the group respectfully into the private room, not daring to utter any unnecessary words. He sensed that these youths must have been angered this morning since all of them had gloomy expressions; the best he could do was to keep out of the way, lest their wrath befall him.
Who else would think of drinking so early in the morning? But who could blame them with the lives they were born into, a lineage of immense wealth and privilege.
"Stick to the usual for the dishes, and bring some strong liquor; you can go now." Seeing that everyone had taken their seats, Sun Qiang ordered dismissively, wanting no outsiders around to be an eyesore.
"Young Master Li, just who is this Lin Feng? He acts as if he’s gone mad, not like a normal person," Sun Qiang couldn’t hold back any longer. Honestly, it was his first time taking such a big fall, leading a group to deal with someone only to have his sports car wrecked by that person. Anyone would be frustrated, anyone would find it unbearable!
"I’ve looked into him. He’s just a washed-up rich kid. But it’s damned strange and astonishing. Every time we clash, it ends up with me at a loss. It’s gotten to the point where I seriously suspect I’m cursed. Haven’t I told you all about the previous incidents?" Li Wenkai was even more depressed. Early that morning, he took a group to confront Lin Feng, not only did the guy get away, but his car also ended up in that pitiful state. His reputation was utterly ruined, lost to the ends of the earth.
"A washed-up young master dares to be this cocky? He truly doesn’t know whether he’s dead or alive. Just watch how I deal with him," Sun Qiang was furious, as that sports car was his favorite.
"Young Master Li, I’m quite familiar with Lin Feng’s family background. There haven’t been any changes since he returned, right? Or does he have some kind of powerful backing now?" Hua Gang was also puzzled. Logic dictated that Lin Feng, a fallen scion, couldn’t possibly stand up to them so brazenly. Wasn’t he afraid of their revenge? Or had he found some powerful patron, now prepared for any eventuality?
"Backings be damned, right now only his dad is working, and his mom stays home. They hardly step foot out of their house, and Lin Feng just goes to work every day. What kind of powerful backing could he have with that lifestyle? Would he still be teaching if he had? Would you?" Li Wenkai was exceptionally vexed. Lin Feng had put one over on him again first thing in the morning, and now he was seething with frustration.
"Young Master Li, do you want to take care of Lin Feng once and for all?" Sun Qiang suddenly broached the subject.
"Huh? What do you mean?" Li Wenkai suddenly perked up, sensing something behind Sun Qiang’s words.
"I’ve got contacts with an Assassin Organization abroad; it’s just that they aren’t cheap. Also, I’m concerned about how Ding Wan’er might react afterwards," Sun Qiang continued, revealing his thoughts. Today, he felt exceptionally irate; a dignified young master like himself had his car wrecked by a mere teacher, who now couldn’t be found anywhere. His face was lost as if it had plunged into the Pacific Ocean. Suddenly, he remembered having once contacted an overseas Assassin Organization over a certain matter and the idea of hiring a hitman to eradicate Lin Feng emerged.
That was also because of his family’s influence, which allowed him, in such moments, to think differently from the others as his Sun Family was involved in underworld dealings.
"Great! That’s an excellent idea, money is no issue, I’ll cover the cost. As long as Lin Feng is taken care of, that’s all that matters! We don’t need to worry about Ding Wan’er. I lost face over her time and again before, so just go ahead and do it, don’t overthink it," Li Wenkai’s eyes lit up upon hearing Sun Qiang’s suggestion. Why hadn’t he thought of this before? If he had, wouldn’t Lin Feng have been dealt with by now and ceased to be a thorn in his side?
"Okay, then it’s settled. I’ll make the contact now," Sun Qiang was thrilled to hear Li Wenkai’s firm response. Not only would he not have to pay himself, but he’d also get to settle the score with Lin Feng, hitting two birds with one stone.
"Come, call for the drinks and dishes. Let’s drink and dispel this bad luck," Li Wenkai’s mood suddenly improved, as it felt like a huge weight had been lifted from his shoulders. Even if Lin Feng continued to bring him misfortune, even if he were skilled, he couldn’t possibly outsmart a professional assassin, could he? Once you’re gone, how could you cause me any more trouble?
"Sure, may Young Master Li’s wishes come true soon. Let’s drink," Hua Gang, hearing such a plan, didn’t say much. Dealing with a person by spending money wasn’t a big deal, and the Assassin Organization was known to be very safe and reliable.
"Right, lets get rid of that annoying, has-been young master!" Sun Qiang echoed, picturing Lin Feng’s downfall, laughing with delight.
"Here, to drinking!"
"Cheers!"
"Cheers!"
.........
Lin Feng was driving Ding Wan’er to the 4S dealership when, out of the blue, the car just cut out, startling Ding Wan’er—she still harbored a fear, wondering what if Li Wenkai and his people caught up with them? But now the car had broken down halfway there, which was quite the hassle.
Although she hadn’t gotten out of the car, the impact from earlier, and the view of the car’s condition from inside, suggested to Ding Wan’er that it was unlikely the car would start again.
"Wait in the car; I’ll go and check it out," Lin Feng said casually, got out of the car, and opened the deformed hood to start working on the repairs.
Ding Wan’er didn’t speak, just watched Lin Feng busying himself, puzzled as to how he could open a deformed car hood so easily. It seemed like Lin Feng did it effortlessly. In TV shows, many car hoods that were involved in accidents couldn’t even be opened and had to be forcefully pried open—strange.
Lin Feng looked so methodical—could he actually fix cars too?
No way, he knows this too?
Just as Ding Wan’er couldn’t believe her eyes, in no time at all, Lin Feng closed the hood, got back into the car, turned the ignition, and, to Ding Wan’er’s astonishment, the car actually started and began to run normally.
"You know how to fix cars?" Ding Wan’er couldn’t contain her skepticism. When her car had minor issues and she called for roadside assistance, it took at least an hour to get the car started. When was it ever just a matter of minutes? Especially since this was the same car that had just been wrecked—a few minutes with Lin Feng and it was fixed, who would believe it?
"I never studied it, just read some books," Lin Feng continued to focus on driving, simply responding to Ding Wan’er’s comment.
Hearing Lin Feng’s explanation left Ding Wan’er utterly speechless. Someone who never learned car repair could just fix a car after reading some repair books? It simply wasn’t believable. If it were that easy, all those repair shops on the streets would have shut down long ago!
"I’m telling the truth, today was actually my first time repairing a car. I’ve just seen a few books before," sensing Ding Wan’er’s skeptical gaze, Lin Feng explained again.
Now, Ding Wan’er had to believe that Lin Feng was telling the truth. Recalling everything since Lin Feng had come to her university, aside from that absurd story about the island, everything else he said seemed quite ordinary, and he could always back up his words. It looked like... could it be?
Lin Feng, is there anything you can’t do? Ever since Lin Feng came into her life, he had provided her with so many surprises that now the only question that remained was lingering in her mind.
...
They managed to get the car to the destination, and Lin Feng and Ding Wan’er got out and went straight into the 4S dealership.
Coincidentally, Little Tang, the one who sold Lin Feng the car last time, was there and recognized him instantly. After all, it’s quite rare for someone to buy a car in cash, so it was easy to remember.
Or perhaps it’s not just about remembering, but being unforgettable.
"Mr. Lin, may I ask how can I assist you?" Little Tang greeted them very polite and warmly.
"My car is outside; it needs major repairs. Also, Miss Ding’s car is ready, and we’ve come to pick it up," Lin Feng, upon seeing Little Tang, recalled the person from when he bought the car last time, didn’t waste words, and directly stated his purpose for being there.
"Alright, please make yourselves comfortable in the VIP lounge while I arrange everything," Little Tang ushered Lin Feng and Ding Wan’er into the lounge and then started to attend to their cars.
However, when Little Tang went outside and saw Lin Feng’s car, her eyes almost popped out of her head. If it weren’t for the license plate belonging to Lin Feng, she wouldn’t have believed that this wrecked vehicle was the same brand-new car that wasn’t even a month old. How had it gotten like this? With it in such a state, how had they managed to drive it here?
There was nothing for it but to have the maintenance personnel take a look.
When Master Yang from the repair shop saw the car, his brow furrowed tightly. What kind of accident must it have been to leave the car in such a state? Upon a closer look, and with years of experience, he could tell that this car hadn’t been in just one accident, but several—to end up like this. But why would the owner crash so many times? Any normal person wouldn’t want to crash even once, right? Isn’t that bad luck?
After a brief inspection, he found that the car couldn’t start at all, so he said to Little Tang, "Where’s the tow truck driver? I want to ask what the accident scene was like."
