Yawning out loud as I stretched my arms in the air, I wiped the tears that had formed on the corner of my eyes.

If I said I wasn't tired that would be a lie. Having spent most of yesterday going through that fight with instructor did give my body lot's of pain.

After all it's not everyday i fight with my Mana block.

Still it was good experience

…I was understandably tired.

Entering the class like usual, Lillian calmly walked towards the podium of the class. Thereafter, placing all of her stuff down she took out a tablet and did the register.

"Rank 1, Adrian Blackthorn."

"Rank 2, Aric Thornheart."

"Rank 3, Lucas Darkheart."

Hearing my name being called, I quickly raised my hand and responded. Staring at me for a split second, Lillian looked back at the tablet and checked my name off. Thereafter, she continued doing the register

"Rank 4, Emma Rivers."

"Rank 5, Isabella Evergreen."

"Rank 6, Evelyn Nightshade."

"Rank 7, Lyra Morningstar."

After Propping my head with my hand, as I listened to Lillian, I calmly observed the classroom. Adrian and the other were sitting in their usual seats on the right side of the classroom.

It was the usual sight.

Adrian was talking with Emma, Aric was with Troy and Hora, Isabella was going through a bunch of papers in here and, and Evelyn was staring at Lillian with an emotionless look on her face, Lyra the beautiful Elf with blue hair was taking some notes.

…everything was pretty much the same as it was during the first time I had come here.

"Rank 197, Ben Timwood"

like that, for the better part of the first five minutes of the class, Lillian did the register. Thereafter, after finishing the register, placing the tablet down, and glancing at everyone in the class, Lillian spoke up as she announced.

"There is an announcement that I have to make today."

At her words, evryone frowend. Including me too.

Is there something going to happen?

I thought as i tracked my brain and soon enough I know what she was going to say.

"Multi-Academy tournament. It's going to start here in academy city, Nova Academy. Usually Nova Academy won't let anyone from outside to enter the Academy City but during this period of time visitors from outside will be allowed for Multi-Academy tournament."

As the name suggests, it was a tournament between all academies in the human domain,or for better word human continent.

This tournament brings whole world attention to the here.

Be it World Government, Hero Association, Hunter Association, Guilds.

Everyone's eyes would be on this tournament.

After all it's tournament where whole world can see young potential cadets and tried to recruit them.

Like I said Nova Academy is the only Acadmy that accepts other races as it's cadets —Elf and Drwavers.

Aside from Nova Academy, you won't find Elf and Drwavers any other Acadmy within human domain.

That's why Nova Academy would be special spot as there will be more talented cadets in this Acadmy then others.

But that doesn't mean that other Acadmy aren't good.

There are four great academy in humans domain aside Nova Academy.

Four academies that although weren't at the level of the Lock, were the closest thing someone could get to the Lock.

Arboren Academy — Novacllif city

Vesperis academy — Azurhaven city

Zephyros academy — Eldoria city

Aurelia academy — Sylvanwood city

And like I said this tournament is for all academy be it four great academies, the Nova, regional, and district academies, they would all be there.

It happens at the very end of each academic year, and it wasn't like the usual tournament arcs where it would be a 1v1 tournament to decide who was best.

...Well there will be 1v1 tournament to decide who was best but that will be late event.

But there is more than 1v1 tournament to decide who was best

It was a tournament with many unconventional games such as the Code breaker, Academy virtual guild wars, Abyss scavage, hunt, and of course, the infamous Dungeon Run. Each game was designed to test cadets not just in raw strength but in their ability to think, strategize, and adapt to ever-changing situations.

Lillian paused, allowing the gravity of the announcement to sink in. The classroom was quiet, the weight of the news settling over everyone like a heavy blanket. The Multi-Academy Tournament was a big deal, and the cadets understood that it was not just a matter of pride but an opportunity to showcase their abilities to the entire world.

"Additionally," Lillian continued, her sharp eyes sweeping across the room, "The tournament is not limited to third-year cadets. Any cadet with sufficient skills can participate. Selection trials will begin next week, so prepare yourselves accordingly."

A murmur of excitement ran through the classroom. For many, this was the opportunity they had been waiting for—the chance to prove themselves on a global stage.

But before cadets could let their excitement get over themselves, Lillian spoke up again.

"But to compete with other Academy that's different matter all together. We will only select best of best, after all we don't want be appeared weak to other right?"

As soon as her words left her mouth, a tense atmosphere appears on classroom.

The meaning of her words were clear, even idiot could understand that.

Noticing the look's on cadets face, Lillian raised in eyebrow

"Don't be to sad, it's not like you can't participate in tournament itself. All of you who will be not selected can still participate in tournament but it will be Nova Academy tournament. A separate tournament from Mult-acadamy tournament."

"Anyway, Regarding the mult-tournament, we will select applicants based on your performances by the end of the next week…and from there we will place you in the first year squad that will represent the tournament"

Glancing at everyone in the class, Lillian brushed her ponytail to the side and continued

"When we select you, you have no right to refuse. . You will be required to represent Nova Academy. This is a matter of both honor and obligation."

Her words were met with silence, the gravity of the situation weighing heavily on everyone. The stakes were high, and not everyone would make the cut. The cadets exchanged glances, the competitive tension in the air palpable.

"Now," Lillian clapped her hands, snapping everyone out of their thoughts, "let's move on. Your training schedule will be adjusted starting next week to prepare for the selection process. We'll be testing you in various aspects, so make sure you're ready. This is your chance to stand out."

With that, she dismissed the topic, but the weight of her words lingered in the air. Everyone knew that the upcoming weeks would be grueling. The Multi-Academy Tournament wasn't just a simple event—it was a battlefield where reputations would be forged or shattered.

I glanced around the room once more, watching the reactions of my classmates. Adrian looked as calm and collected as ever, but his eyes gleamed with the desire to prove himself. Aric had a determined expression, his usual easygoing demeanor replaced by focus. Isabella remained composed, though her hands seemed to tremble slightly as she shuffled her papers.

For me, it was just another challenge. One I couldn't afford to ignore.

The Multi-Academy Tournament was a chance to not only prove my worth but also to face opponents from other academies—some of the best in the continent. But more than that, it was a test of my growth and the journey I'd embarked on since joining Nova Academy.

I couldn't help but smirk. Things were about to get interesting.
