Chapter 390: Chapter 390
One week... It's been one week since Ella left the Nova Academy.
Her sudden disapprence rise many questions, after all she didn't say anything to anyone else and suddenly quite.
If course I was the only one who knows her real reason.
There was sudden shift in atmosphere around Elera and others who were team members of Ella.
After all Ella was team member and she just vanished without a trace, leaving a gap in their ranks. Elera, in particular, seemed unsettled. She was usually calm and collected, but the sudden departure of Ella had shaken her confidence.
The others whispered quietly about why Ella might have left. Some thought she was expelled, others believed she had a personal reason. But no one knew for sureβexcept me.
I knew Ella's reason for leaving. Her life had been driven by vengeance, but now that her father was gone, she had nothing to anchor herself to. She didn't belong at Nova Academy anymore, not when her whole purpose had collapsed.
And now it's been a week since Ella have left the Nova Academy.
Time stops for no one.
Wheather like it or not it's move on and all of us also move on.
Today was Thursday classes were ended and it's time for yet again not welcoming special training program.
We are all inside the artificial dungeon, wating for Instructor Ray to began the special training program.
Inside an artificial dungeon in the Nova Academy.
Students stood in a coordinated and orderly manner staring at the many mountain ranges covered in mist that was before them.
Each mountain range has a peak of approximately 10 Km long.
The instructor Ray stood at the side and looked at the students with a fiery gaze and shouted.
"Cadets before you, there are many mountain ranges and each range has a specific number. You need to climb the peak according to the number you have got before entering the dungeon. After climbing the peak, there will be a platform where you will find instructors waiting for you."
Everyone gulped as they looked at the high peaks which went straight into the skies and wondered how the horizon was able to create such a huge structure artificially.
Starting at large mountain peaks meeting the sky, they prepared themselves for a new hellish nightmare.
The instructors looked at the students who had awe and horror-stricken expression and nodded in satisfaction and gave a rough explanation.
"On reaching the peak you have to fight with the instructor and defeat them and if you were able to defeat them, you don't have to take this training session."
"You are telling us to fight with an instructor with our current level."
A small commotion broke out as they were informed that they have to fight with an instructor.
"Quiet." The instructor roared bursting out the eardrums of the students.
"Like you, the instructor's strength would be suppressed and he would also wear the bracelet like you all and he wouldn't be able to use mana. You have to defeat him in physical combat, if you lose you will be thrown down the mountain and have to climb, again and again until you can defeat him or until today's training session is over."
The instructor gave gentle a vicious smile that sent a chill down the spine of the students.
The students shuddered in fear after hearing the explanation.
Seeing his gentle smile everyone had one thought about him. Follow current Ι΄α΄α΄ α΄Κs on π«π¬π³π’π©Β·π£π¦π―π’Β·π«π’π±
'This guy is seriously a masochist who finds happiness in seeing us in pain.'
"Now get your ass over there."He shouted.
Followed by his shout, without wasting any time, loud footsteps were heard and the ground rumbled as the students ran toward the mountain.
Lucas didn't take it slow and stepped on the accelerator and ran at his full speed.
He wore a tag of number six on his right shoulder which signified that he had to climb mountain number six
Lucas leapt through the ground and jumped over the head of the students at the front by stepping on a boulder at the side to went over the crowd of students that were running slowly.
The students looked at Lucas in awe as his silhouette passed over them.
The speed at Lucas going on was insense.
After all there mana core has been sealed off and that's mean it's all pure physical strength of Lucas.
Lucas didn't fear at the thought of fighting against an instructor.
After all what there is too fear if instructor would be same level as him?
Without skills or magic, the instructor would left nothing but physical strength that would compared to the cadets.
Of course that didn't mean that he should take lightly off too instructor, after all they have over all experience above Lucas's.
But there still nothing much to worry about.
Yato, Lucas master is merciless when it's come to trening.
'Fighting against instructor is better fighting against Yato.'
Just thinking of that makes Lucas's shudder.
Lucas shake his head as get rid off unnecessary thought and speed up.
Lucas got near the foot of the mountain and jumped by stomping the ground and grabbing a protruding rocking one hand and putting his foot on another one to balance his body, he started to climb up.
He pushed his upper body by applying force to his legs and using his hands to look for anything to hold on to.
He put his fingers in between the gaps of the rocks and gripping his fingers tightly, he supported his full body and tried to lift his body.
Lucas moved swiftly, scaling the mountain with pure physical strength. His muscles tensed as he gripped the jagged rocks, carefully finding each foothold and handhold to propel himself upward.
The other cadets trailed behind, their progress slower and more hesitant. They stared in awe at how effortlessly Lucas seemed to move. His speed and agility were far beyond what they could muster, especially without the aid of mana.
Despite his rapid ascent, Lucas remained focused. He knew this training was just another test, and he wasn't about to fall short. The image of his master, Yato, loomed in his mind. Compared to the brutal training sessions with Yato, this was almost... manageable.
As Lucas reached the midway point of the mountain, he paused for a moment, wiping the sweat from his brow. The higher he climbed, the colder the air became, but that didn't deter him. He continued upward, knowing that reaching the peak was only half the challenge. The real fight awaited him at the top.
His thoughts briefly flickered back to Ella. It had been a week since her departure, and while the academy had moved on, Lucas couldn't help but wonder what she was doing now. Her life had changed drastically, just as his had in many ways. But this wasn't the time to dwell on it.
Lucas gritted his teeth and pushed forward, his determination unshaken.
Finally, after what felt like hours of climbing, Lucas saw the platform at the peak. His eyes narrowed as he spotted the silhouette of the instructor waiting for him.
This was itβthe real test was about to begin.
With a final burst of energy, Lucas hoisted himself onto the platform, landing softly on his feet. He took a deep breath, straightening up and facing the instructor head-on.
The instructor, with a calm expression, crossed his arms. "You've made it this far, Cadet Lucas. But can you fight?"
Lucas smirked, cracking his knuckles in response. "Guess we'll find out."
