Chapter 998: Chapter 998

Upon hearing Du You’s words, the two sisters finally felt at ease. There was no helping it, they were truly frightened by Du You’s physical stamina.

Ever since he had his rest, Du You had been managing affairs at night more often than before, and each instance lasted longer than before. Both sisters had telepathy, and though already at a disadvantage, they now felt even more overwhelmed.

It seemed they needed to find a woman to share their master’s burden sooner rather than later; continuing could kill someone.

Just imagine, not dying on the battlefield but on the bed instead; such a death would be utterly disgraceful.

As the two sisters entertained their wild thoughts, they were absorbed into the channel opened by Du You. Gazing upon the familiar spatial passage, they still felt trepidation due to the shadows left by their previous experience.

Fortunately, the channel didn’t encounter any issues. They knew about their ordeal because it had been reported in the news.

Indeed, just two days ago, a newspaper had covered the incident. Dark Dragon Valley was fairly well-known, mainly because it was a rare fragmented world. The collapse of one fragment unleashed a powerful force.

This force affected several nearby fragmented worlds, causing significant repercussions. The newspaper also reported that an unlucky team had been on the fragment that collapsed and hadn’t been heard from since; they were likely wiped out.

Only then did Du You’s group learn that there had been another team on that fragment of a world. Such a small world, and they hadn’t encountered them, leaving them uncertain whether those people were well hidden or arrived later. In any case, Du You could only silently apologize. It was a disaster for those unseen victims which he unintentionally caused.

The three of them were spat out of the spatial channel, and found themselves in the City of Mountains’ secret chamber. Stepping out of the chamber, Du You was greeted by Shaliya and Luo Jia, both looking at him with excited expressions.

"Lord, you have arrived. Our domain has reached the tier-five standard," Shaliya exclaimed with utmost excitement. For the domain to reach tier five meant that Shaliya could finally seek her revenge. The Kingdom of Hanhai had always been nearby, and now it could be definitively dealt with once and for all.

Luo Jia was even more thrilled because the advancement of the domain meant its influence could expand, paving the way for the establishment of a kingdom. As an elder of the kingdom, his status would be immensely elevated.

With this, the glory of his family could finally shine in his hands. And given their lord’s capabilities, growing into an empire was not out of the question. Once their domain reached tier six, it would not just possess the combat power of tier six but an unceasing supply of tier six troops, and increasingly so.

It was not just excited words from the two of them, even Du You himself felt exhilarated. Thɪs chapter is updated by 𝓷𝓸𝓿𝓮𝓵✦𝕗𝕚𝕣𝕖✦𝙣𝙚𝙩

When the two sisters finally came to their senses, they looked at Shaliya’s flushed face with eyes that gradually became suggestive and scrutinizing. The woman was indeed not bad, loyal and capable, and seemed to be physically robust as well.

Though she was a Spellcaster, the women in this world appeared to be in good physical condition. It’s a pity Elsa was too young, or they might have considered involving her. With just a glance, the sisters knew exactly what the other was thinking without saying a word.

Unaware of the sisters’ peculiar gazes, Du You simply walked out and entered the hall of the Lord’s Mansion.

"All right, I’m about to start my advancement, which should take a little over a day based on the last experience. Everyone, adjust your attitudes and prepare for an expanded combat effort. Let’s aim to take down the Kingdom of Hanhai in one fell swoop."

Shaliya had been waiting for this day for a long time, and it had finally arrived. Even though only a few years had passed within this world, less than a decade—which is not long for cultivators—Shaliya felt as if she had been waiting a lifetime. Every time she remembered her homeland being burnt to ashes in a great fire, it was like a knife twisting in her heart.

Shaliya wasn’t the only one moved; the maids and assistants who followed her felt similarly.

That place was also their homeland. Now they could finally return. Some of their family members were still alive and had not perished, but their lives were extremely difficult.

Unfortunately, they were enemies of the Kingdom of Hanhai and couldn’t bring their family back. They even dared not reveal their relationships with each other, for fear that if they did, their loved ones would face the danger of death.

Every time they thought of this, they felt as if their hearts were being torn apart.

Now, watching the Crystal Coins burn and witnessing the dazzling light of the Lord’s Mansion, everyone felt their struggles were about to end. Hadn’t the Kingdom of Hanhai been rampant all these years simply because of the existence of a tier-five power?

The light burst forth for a full day, and as the hours passed, everyone gradually calmed down. But while the emotions settled, the anticipation in their hearts didn’t diminish; it only grew stronger.

After one day, the Lord’s Mansion was the first to transform, becoming larger and even more lavish. Next came the changes to the Flame Tower and the Skill Hall, all upgrading automatically with the domain’s advancement and not requiring separate upgrading.

The Flame Tower in particular became more eye-catching, with denser fire clouds growing in size and the tower reaching even greater heights. Meanwhile, the Flame Giants that guarded the tower roared as they also grew larger.

It seemed that soon, these Flame Giants would ascend to tier five, one by one. Just the defensive forces alone would be enough to instill fear and pressure in any adversary.

However, Du You internally gauged that it might take about a month for this to happen. Although their strength increased due to the Flame Tower, such enhancements were not instantaneous.

The Flame Giants seemed to be cultivating, their process just massively accelerated. They roared while absorbing the surrounding Fire Elements, growing bigger and bigger.

Such commotion could not go unnoticed by those inside and outside of the domain. Yet, for the moment, they were clueless about what was happening. There was no need to explain any of it to anyone.

"Begin construction," Du You instructed as he handed over the plans for the Skybreaker Mage Tower and the Flame Castle to Shaliya. Shaliya ran out, where workers and materials had long been prepped for the job.

"This is truly exhilarating. By the way, the battle on the border has started, hasn’t it?"

"My Lord," Luo Jia replied, "I have already given the order, and the full assault has begun. In no more than three days, we will have completely taken the coastal region."
