Chapter 91: Chapter 91

"You’d better not give me a chance," Du You managed to say, enduring his shoulder pain as he made a successful escape.

Suddenly, he smacked his own head, "Stupid! How could I have overlooked such an obvious solution?"

Earlier, trying to hide his own power, he had stored Xiaozi away. But now, he was on the run. How could he forget about this valuable mode of transport? With a wave of his hand, Du You released Xiaozi.

Now a level 3 Violet Lightning Eagle, Xiaozi had grown even bigger. Du You sat comfortably on its broad back, no longer feeling cramped. Seeing her master, Xiaozi immediately nuzzled up against him.

Stroking Xiaozi’s head, Du You said, "Quit fooling around, we need to leave quickly. We’re being hunted."

Even with Xiaozi on his side, they were still no match for that team. An organized team could bring more power, something he was currently incapable of facing.

Each member of that party was grade 3, veterans at that, who knows what tricks they had up their sleeves.

Riding Xiaozi, they flew just above the treetops, leaving their pursuers far behind unable to track them due to the speed. The two teams stared at each other, speechless.

"Look at this place, these are bird tracks. I think that man still has a bird-type Summoned Beasts or pet, who has probably flown away by now," said one of the leaders, pointing at a claw mark on the ground.

"What do we do then? Give up? That person is not weak and we have thoroughly offended him. If he gets his strength back, we might get a formidable enemy," another said.

"Let’s continue pursuing. This is the northern mountain range of Dinosaur World, where Wing Dragons are not scarce. If he dares to fly, he will be shot down sooner or later," said Scarface with a relaxed look.

"And how do you propose we track him? He’s been flying in the air for a while, he wouldn’t have left any trace behind. It’s impossible for us to track him," Blade said, glaring at Scarface. If he hadn’t brought his team abruptly here, how could the man have escaped? If they had held on for a while longer, they could have captured him.

Scarface jeered, "That’s because you guys don’t have a way, did you think I wouldn’t have?"

With that, a Mage-like figure took out a needle that was pointing in a certain direction.

"The needle we used to attack Wukong previously is part of a set. Not only does it keep him in a constant state of battle, but we can use it to track him, too. Just need to follow the direction of the needle," Scarface explained.

And so, the group resumed their pursuit. As they made progress, Scarface said, "This tracking is possible because of our treasure. You guys have to give up an extra 10% reward."

Blade coldly retorted, "Fine, we’ll give you an extra 10%." There was a cold gleam in Blade’s eyes.

Meanwhile, Du You, who was still riding Xiaozi, was caught off guard by an approaching flock of Wing Dragons. "Damn it, too many dinosaurs here, they’re as fearless, and annoying, as flies."

The number of Wing Dragons in the sky was increasing, forcing Du You to abandon airborne travel. With a horde of frantic Wing Dragons swooping down, even Xiaozi would not stand a chance. Continuing to fly would be tantamount to suicide.

Left with no choice, Du You had to descend. It took a considerable amount of effort to kill the attacking Wing Dragons.

"What, they’re still pursuing," Du You frowned. Just before Xiaozi had landed, he looked back and saw that they were still being pursued, heading in their direction.

Du You furrowed his brow: "They must have a special tracking method. We can’t stay here, we must run."

Du You spoke coldly then continued to flee with Xiaozi. Yes, Xiaozi was not flying, but running with Du You. As she leveled up, Xiaozi’s legs became stronger. Not only did her attack power greatly increase, but her running speed and stamina also improved significantly.

At Du You’s current speed, Xiaozi trailed easily. As for the Cursed Crow King, it was better left out of this equation. Its physical endurance wasn’t great. If it started to fly, the Wing Dragons would easily attack it.

Only inside a forest would it be somewhat safe.

"The direction of the tracks is correct. Look, he must have been forced to land from the sky. We must continue, we can’t let him escape." Suddenly, they found the ground littered with scattered corpses.

This scattering seemed definitely Du You’s doing. Their thief companion had also been killed .

Blade didn’t say anything but gestured at the others. Then they followed Scarface’s team and continued running. There were eleven of them in total and they would not return unless they achieved their goal.

Advancing through a dense forest wasn’t easy. Du You kept pushing forward, frequently encountering dinosaurs and other creatures in his way. His strategy was to kill his way through. However, these actions were sure to leave clues for their pursuers. Du You didn’t have time to clean up and had no choice but to continue his escape.

"This won’t work, we can’t continue . Xiaozi, you hunt in different directions, make them believe you’re fleeing."

Du You gave Xiaozi a sudden order, to which she salaamed and immediately obeyed without hesitation.

About every minute, Xiaozi would wander far from Du You only to be resummoned again. Then, she would move in another direction to continue creating a false trail.

Sure enough, as Du You continued to generate fake traces, the speed of their pursuers slowed down considerably.

"How come we are again at a split trail? Hurry up and decide which way we go. We only have two hours. After that, we won’t have a chance," one of them complained.

Even Scarface was annoyed at this point. This kid’s ability to flee was formidable, he thought.

Unaware of the trouble his actions had caused his pursuers, Du You kept running helplessly. He had no idea where he was going when he suddenly noticed a large shifting fog ahead.

Upon closer inspection, Du You realized it wasn’t fog but a massive swarm of bugs. He was dumbstruck; the environment here was increasingly bizarre, crawling with bugs everywhere that it looked like a fog from afar.
