Chapter 508: Chapter 508
At night, Du You flew in the air, quietly leading the two sisters into the valley.
Since the last upgrade, the Ghost Pattern Crow could now carry people in flight. Though the crow might appear small, it had no problem carrying a person. This way, all three could easily enter the valley.
Admittedly, Sand People Tribe didn’t have any kind of air branch of the armed forces, but they were not entirely defenseless against aerial attacks.
Bolts like arrows were pointed towards the sky, ready to launch at airborne targets.
Perhaps due to a prolonged period of invulnerability, the tribe from top to bottom had grown complacent. Coupled with Du You flying at a greater height, the Sandpeople below did not notice the incoming invaders.
On a plateau, Du You set down the two sisters, "From here on, you attack the people down there. I will leave the Cursed Crow with you," Du You told them.
"You should also be careful and not be careless," Lin Yucha instructed Du You.
Du You gently nodded, left the Ghost Pattern Crow behind, and ascended with Xiaozi. If the other summoned creatures were suitable for this environment, Du You would certainly have left them here too.
At this moment at the entrance of the valley, a group of soldiers were quietly marching in, unnoticed. These were not ordinary soldiers but comprised mainly of 90 formal Giant Rock Heavy Armored Warriors.
The remaining forces and logistical personnel were hiding not far in the forest. Without the covert help of the local slaves, they would have had difficulty entering Sand People territory unhindered.
In the darkness of night, faint screams could be heard. It turned out that the Sandpeople guarding the slaves had been attacked. The Sandpeople were not particularly strong, so killing them was simple.
The Sandpeople did not respect these slaves, otherwise, they wouldn’t have left them under the guard of the weakest among them.
In their view, if the slaves dared to rebel or run, they would be the first to notice and would easily kill all of them. Who’d have thought these slaves would initiate an attack?
Unseen and unheard, the situation at the entrance of the valley had completely changed.
Du You floated above, looking below. "Indeed, power corrupts, and it made the Sandpeople even more complacent."
Du You gazed down at the valley. At its core was a grand building, likely the dwelling of the Sandpeople’s leader. Surrounding it were buildings of increasing simplicity and decreasing size the further they were from the center.
Consequently, the people gathered in the center had to be the strongest and highest-ranking of them all.
Not long after, Du You spotted intermittent flashes from the entrance of the valley. He knew they were ready. So be it, let the attack begin. With a wave of his hand, Destruction Flames appeared.
A Magic Array emerged in the air, its enormous magic power exploding into action in an instant. The Sandpeople were not fools, they sensed it immediately. However, they never considered that they were being attacked.
"What’s going on? In the middle of the night, is there some sort of ceremony happening?" A Quicksand soldier muttered to himself.
The other Quicksand soldiers thought similarly, being accustomed to the Quicksand Priests regularly causing various vibrations. Even the Priests themselves thought it was their colleagues conducting some ritual and merely emerged from their rooms.
Of course, some realized something was wrong, but their reactions were slow. Not even ten seconds had elapsed, which was not a lot of time. Many were still in deep sleep and were not woken up by the magic power surge.
Ten seconds passed, and a massive black fireball took form in the sky. The fireball then slammed into the ground below.
Now, the Sandpeople who realized something was amiss had no time to ponder. "Boom!" The fireball struck the ground mercilessly.
Central area was completely ruined by Du You’s Magic. A large number of Priests and Quicksand soldiers were killed. Several red orbs appeared in Du You’s personal space, representing the fallen Sandpeople.
Although not every Sandperson would yield orbs, the number of orbs showed the extent of their loss.
After a rough calculation, Du You was pleased. His attack had wiped out at least half of the upper-class of the Sandpeople, sending their command system into disarray.
The Sandpeople finally realized they were under attack. Many of them ran around, shouting chaotically.
Unfortunately, without a coordinated command, the Sandpeople didn’t even know where the enemies were. The powers they had against airborne attacks were useless, for they didn’t know that their enemies were in the sky.
Once again, Du You aimed at the areas teeming with energy and released another Destruction Flame.
In less than ten seconds, the disarrayed Sandpeople could not put up any resistance. Another fireball descended, killing a large number of them. Chapters fırst released on 𝗇𝗈𝗏𝖾𝗅•𝖿𝗂𝗋𝖾•𝗇𝖾𝗍
Du You swiftly launched three consecutive fireballs, believing that a majority of the second-tier Sandpeople had been annihilated.
At the same time, Lin Yucha took action, employing Night Vision and firing a round of deadly poison sniping. Although the Sandpeople had high Poison Resistance, they could not avoid physical attacks. Hence, one by one, the remaining Sandpeople were shot.
Finally, a Sandperson spotted Lin Yucha and Lin Yushi.
"Look over there, the enemies are there." With the shout, many people dashed in that direction. Even though it was a cliff, the Sandpeople could still climb up, as it wasn’t too high.
The Ghost Pattern Crow spread its wings, released a Weakening Aura, and then shot out numerous Bloodthirsty Feather Arrows. These arrows inflicted the bleeding curse and were lethal to the Sandpeople.
"Sister, you focus on attacking a specific area; leave the rest to me," said Lin Yushi.
Next, a wave of Arrow Shadows burst forth, knocking down the less powerful first-tier Sandpeople in droves before Lin Yushi. Lin Yucha slightly nodded and continued seeking out second-tier Quicksand soldiers.
The entrance of the valley was calm at that moment. While the soldiers had arrived, their objective was to defend, not attack. At this point, no Sandpeople thought of fleeing.
After launching three fireballs, Du You switched to Dark Swamp. Six Dark Swamps erupted with full force. Each one spread a swamp over about 130 yards, and in just a few rounds, the entire valley was swamped.
The Dark Swamp prevented the Sandpeople from burrowing underground. The powerful corrosive dark power inflicted considerable damage. Unfortunately, the Sandpeople only had Poison Resistance, not resistance to dark elements. The Dark Swamp was lethal to Sandpeople of insufficient strength.
