"Mage, state your name." The captain of the knights charged towards Du You. With a forward thrust of his long spear, a white Dou Qi that seemed real yet unreal materialized into a long spear, tearing the air as it shot straight at Du You.

Du You cast his Shield Spell in response, facing it head-on. The collision was akin to a bomb explosion.

"I go by Du You, and you, knight of the War God Academy?" Du You didn’t hesitate to retaliate with a Dark Swamp. As the spell touched the ground, a large area transformed into a deep black color, becoming a swamp.

"You may call me Jin Xuan." As he spoke, Jin Xuan stomped hard on the ground, causing a Dou Qi Explosion.

The sturdy Dark Swamp on the ground was surprisingly cracked open by the powerful shock, creating a thick layer. Relying on this force, Jin Xuan appeared to be walking on air as he continued his assault on Du You.

"Such a nuisance, I hate these iron cans the most." Du You noticed the thick armor of his opponent and knew that his Disintegration Spell would likely be ineffective. Runes were inscribed all over the armor - clearly meant for more than mere decoration, it surely held immense magic resistance.

Raising his hand, Du You landed a triple Soul Pierce attack on Jin Xuan. If the Disintegration Spell was ineffective, surely the Soul Pierce would do the job.

He fiercely stabbed his long spear into the ground, "Firm Barrier."

A hazy white light enveloped Jin Xuan entirely, his own Soul Pierce was ineffective against Jin Xuan. Du You remembered that this was the same trick which had blocked the Bloodthirsty Feather Arrow before.

No sooner had Du You prepared for a counter-attack, the airborne assailants made their move. Although lacking archers, that didn’t mean they lacked long-range attack methods. Especially the one that attacked from above.

Several spears and darts fell down from the sky, carrying terrifying forces that interrupted Du You’s assault. If he continued attacking, he would likely be smashed into a pulp from resisting the darts descending from the sky.

Helplessly, Du You cast a Shield Spell again to block all the darts and spears.

Now that Jin Xuan had regained his stance, he continued his advance towards Du You. His long spear swung like a huge cleaver, unleashing a strike of Dou Qi. The Dou Qi slash was unexpectedly large, reaching a length of three meters.

Out of options, Du You had no choice but to use a Shield Spell yet again to defend.

"This can’t go on, if it continues , I’ll only be able to use the Shield Spell to keep defending until I run out of Magic Power."

Although Du You had an abundance of Magic Power, it couldn’t hold out under such relentless battering. Free-for-all strikings from the ground and sky made it exceedingly hard to hold on at this stage. Anyone else in his place would’ve probably given up by now.

The two academies and the numerous spectators outside were also intensely fixed on the changes happening within the blink of an eye.

From the moment Du had entered the field, a fierce and brutal battle had already ensued.

"Look quickly. Du You has landed safely and is currently besieged. We can see that the backup forces will take some time to reach him, we’re unsure if Du You can hold out till then," the commentator stared intently at the screen, because with each shift of the scene, huge changes occurred. The time flow inside the arena moved ten times faster than actual time, even blinking could cause you to miss out on critical moments.

Suddenly, Du You’s strategy shifted. While attacking, he made his way to retreat towards the back. He leapt and landed behind a stone, planting three Hellfire Thunders on the ground before continuing his escape.

The ground was a deadly combination of Hellfire Thunders and Dark Swamps. Every few steps back, Du You seeded something. Whenever he escaped, he chose to hide behind rocks and large trees to block the aerial view of the knights.

When Jin Xuan stepped onto a Hellfire Thunder during his pursuit, the raging fire engulfed him. Following this explosion, Jin Xuan proceeded with caution, especially since the explosion had dulled the runes on his engraved armor.

This indicated that the attack from the Hellfire Thunder was absolutely deadly, without his armor, he would have surely died.

"That’s a trap spell, we can see that, it’s a signature trap by Du You. My God, Jin Xuan’s rune-enchanted armor has dulled, that trap spell is certainly not a common skill." The commentator was even more excited now.

"If you dare to come close, I’ll definitely not let you leave alive." Du You managed to temporarily halt Jin Xuan’s chase and took a breather. However, the few knights in the sky were still doggedly chasing after him.

Suddenly, a knight riding a white strange bird swooped down from the sky, his body twisted in a spiral, enveloped in a white glow.

"Falling Star Strike." The opponent roared as he ascended from the sky.

The long spear of that knight was pointed directly at him. A sense of suffocation from the terrifying impact had Du You gasping. But Du You neither dodged it nor made any attempts to escape. He merely raised a Shield Spell right in front of him.

With a "crack", the spear pierced into the Shield Spell. The Shield Spell instantly fractured, but didn’t break apart.

A surge of energy assaulted Du You directly. Yet during this time, Du You seized an opportunity to cast three Disintegration Spells. The unimpressive Disintegration Spell, however, was remarkably fast.

The force hit Du You, sending him flying. He coughed up blood and quickly drank a potion. He could feel that his injuries had intensified considerably.

"What kind of skill is this? Its attack power is terrifying."

As Du You cursed inwardly, the opponent was cursing as well. Because of Du You’s high defensive power which had shocked him as well. In a certain sense, the knight’s power, combined with his mount, allowed his attacks to be forceful, which far surpassed than that of ordinary warriors and even most mages.

And yet, with such power, an incredibly strong attack unleashed from above was amazingly blocked by a fragile magical shield.

However, he was unable to think any further. The descending force prevented the gigantic bird from flying up momentarily, while Du You’s spell was astoundingly fast. The Disintegration Spell directly landed on the opponent.

Something on the man shattered, offsetting a Disintegration Spell.

"Impossible, how can it be so fast?" The man cried out in anguish.

The next two Disintegration Spells subsequently hit the man himself. This unlucky Sky Knight was enshrouded by the glow and teleported away.

"Five, we’ve lost five Sky Knights and still haven’t taken him down." The Sky Knights still hovering in the air felt more humiliated. Meanwhile, Jin Xuan finally skirted around Du You’s traps and approached Du You from another direction. Du You, already badly injured, felt even more bitter.

"Although it’s a bit unsporting, I apologize in the name of the academy’s honor." Jin Xuan mentioned as he lunged at Du You again.
