Chapter 1920: Chapter 1920

"Why are they so weak? Do they have no resistance at all?"

Du You was puzzled because undead creatures are usually experts in studying death forces, capable of resistance even if they don’t use them. Originally, Du You planned to severely injure two of them, and then quickly eliminate them.

He didn’t expect them to die just from a single gaze. "Had I known, I should’ve dealt with four at once."

Due to the excessive force unleashed, the Eye of the Death God needed some time to recover and couldn’t be used again for now.

Then Du You understood; maybe it had to do with the relative peace of this world. Yes, peace. Before reaching tier four, undead here are the same as those from other worlds, constantly fighting and devouring each other.

But after reaching tier four, this world becomes much more peaceful. Though they also develop in a Raising Gu style, they focus more on nurturing their own undead, developing them as a priority.

Those ten tier nine undead were slowly cultivated by this world, rising smoothly to this level with the support of world powers, fully integrated within.

The world consciousness considers them as tool beings to enhance its own laws, without needing them to battle. Perhaps, in the eyes of world consciousness, everything is under its control in this world, so why bother fighting? Consequently, these undead are not well-versed in combat, at least not in intense confrontations.

Therefore, they haven’t developed special methods or ways to counter them.

When faced with this direct force of death strike, even an undead creature has no skill to resist. Had I known, I could have taken out four at once. Unfortunately, there are still seven left.

"Good, three down, seven left. Next, I’ll handle two of them; you two deal with the three weaker ones. Are you okay with that?" Du You said to the two sisters.

"No problem, although these are late-stage, only two have reached level 88. Master, are you sure you want to handle these two?" The sisters first sensed the undead’s strength.

There’s no helping it; these guys don’t even hide their power, or perhaps they don’t have the awareness.

"Rest assured, no problem. Judging by their foolish demeanor, they don’t have much power."

If it were others who had achieved much, even at the same level, Du You would tread cautiously against two, not knowing what tricks they might have prepared. But these tool beings, Du You isn’t worried at all.

According to his doppelganger, these guys do nothing besides meditating on laws, aiding the world’s growth. As for researching skills or enhancing themselves, that’s out of the question.

Not for the fact that meditating on laws naturally enhances oneself, these undead couldn’t have reached this stage over the years.

Du You’s doppelganger deeply despises these fellows.

With a wave of his hand, Du You intercepted the two strongest undead. A black dragon appeared beside him, his bloodline incarnation. Simultaneously controlling his bloodline incarnation, he engaged in battle with a zombie dragon.

The zombie dragon was covered in some sort of slime, innately possessing special venom and corrosive forces, which Du You didn’t want to come in contact with. Not out of fear, but sheer disgust.

However, it didn’t matter to his bloodline incarnation, since it felt nothing. Being a special creature, there was no worry about anything nasty sticking to it.

With a breath of dragon fire clashing against the opponent’s death dragon breath, Du You found his doppelganger’s power suitably suppressing the foe.

Not sure if it’s due to a lack of combat or some other reason, but the zombie dragon’s power and awareness couldn’t compare to his own.

Du You himself intercepted the last target, a zombie, or a zombie-type lich.

Whether the world particularly favors zombies is uncertain, as half of the tier nine undead are zombies.

It was a magic-class, waving its magic staff at him from afar. Plague spread out, followed by chunks resembling corpse fragments flying at swift speed.

Du You promptly used a Shadow Spirit Light Ball to block them, which resulted in a big explosion, quite powerful. Follow current novᴇls on 𝔫𝔬𝔳𝔢𝔩·𝔣𝔦𝔯𝔢·𝔫𝔢𝔱

"A kind of Corpse Explosion, but these corpse fragments are self-made. Truly an intriguing evolution." Du You didn’t mind; though destructive, its speed wasn’t greater than his Shadow Spirit Light Ball.

Du You, coupled with other magic, firmly suppressed the opponent.

Even so, Du You had time to glance around. The two sisters, telepathically linked, were of higher level than the foes, and had restraint over evil creatures. Thus, without relying on their bloodline incarnation, they suppressed three late-stage tier nine undead with mere bows. Moreover, judging by appearances, they were faster at creating injuries than he was.

If things continued, the sisters would finish off the enemy before him.

Things were even easier on Xiaozi and the bubble’s side. Whether through light, flame, or thunder powers, they restrained the undead. Though tier nine levels restraint wasn’t very pronounced, it still existed.

The two pets released their origin weapons without hesitation. For reasons unknown, none of those undead possessed origin weapons, rendering their strength unimproved.

Thus, two undead were unfortunate. One was directly bound by chains of white light, followed by the bubble releasing Holy Flame for roasting. It seemed it was just a matter of time until that guy was eliminated.

The situation on the other side was no better; four lightning claws grasped the gigantic zombie in one contact. Subsequently, thunder erupted nearby as Xiaozi mercilessly unleashed his strongest attack.

A series of attacks, delivered through the lightning talons, blasted half of the gigantic zombie’s body.

Following this, under Xiaozi’s entanglement, the body restoring speed was far slower than the damaging speed. Four claws gripped the zombie’s limbs, making its movements sluggish and easier for Xiaozi to continue his assault.

One thunder light orb after another bombarded the zombie’s head, creating numerous cracks in its skull.

At this rate, it wouldn’t be long before the zombie’s head was shattered. "Looks like I can’t waste time; need to speed up," Du You muttered to himself, his actions growing increasingly fierce.
