Chapter 1622: Chapter 1622

Like Lin Yushi, Lin Yucha also advanced three skills. With an abundant supply of Law Crystals of various kinds, the speed of skill advancement actually doesn’t vary much.

Without Law Crystals, however, advancing skills would become very slow, and progression would depend on luck. After all, advancing is not just about leveling up; such significant progression itself is a complex matter.

Unlike Lin Yucha, who simply advanced her skills in order without choosing carefully—just advancing whatever hadn’t been upgraded yet—Lin Yushi was more selective when advancing her skills, adopting a slightly different approach from her sister.

When Du You opened Lin Yushi’s panel, he saw the three skills that she had advanced.

These three skills were Quick Dance Steps, Long-Range Shooting, and Armor Piercing Lock.

Quick Dance Steps: Increases movement speed by 2.5% per level. When activated, speed instantly doubles. The longer it remains active, the greater the strain on the body, and recovery time is required. Once activated, this skill can evade lock-on abilities. (Level 64, 9-star)

Quick Dance Steps and Lin Yucha’s Secret Dance started as the same skill, but now they have taken entirely different paths.

The increase in normal speed remains the same, and the enhancement has developed rapidly. However, once activated, speed instantly doubles, making it terrifyingly fast—faster than that bubble-like creature, for instance.

Of course, this is now a Law-infused skill, so the longer it’s kept active, the greater the physical strain. Without a God Body, an ordinary person wouldn’t be able to endure such speed.

At sustained high speeds under this skill, even the God Body of a Tier 7 expert would collapse over time.

However, reaching that level of collapse would require quite a long duration. Under normal use, it would at most cause physical exhaustion and greater consumption of Divine Power. In more severe cases, one might feel temporary physical weakness, but that’s it.

The critical feature here is the skill’s ability to evade lock-on abilities. Normally, lock-on abilities are nearly impossible to dodge and must be tanked head-on. Until now, Du You had only known Space Teleportation as a way to evade such skills.

But even Space Teleportation can fail; one misstep can still result in being locked onto.

Now, when Lin Yushi activates this skill, she can directly evade lock-on abilities. Even Du You, whose locking abilities are incredibly strong, found it challenging to hit Lin Yushi during her speed bursts when he conducted some experiments.

"From now on, you should train yourself thoroughly. Aim to activate and deactivate the skill instantly, even if it’s just to evade an enemy’s attack," Lin Yucha suggested to her sister after some thought.

To be fair, since both sisters had been engaged in closed-door cultivation to improve their abilities, they hadn’t directly exchanged ideas before. Today was the first time Lin Yucha had seen this skill in action, and she hadn’t expected it to have such overpowered effects.

That said, Lin Yucha’s own skill effects weren’t weak either; they just emphasized a different focus.

Next up was the second skill: Long-Range Shooting. The reason Lin Yushi decided to upgrade this skill was that she felt her sister’s attack range was too far away for her to keep pace, prompting her to choose this skill.

Long-Range Shooting: Multiplies the archer’s attack range by 10, enhances vision, and increases the ability to lock onto targets. Boosts arrow damage. Enables precise attacks outside the perception range through instinct. (Level 64, 9-star)

This skill became very similar to Lin Yucha’s evolved skill, also multiplying attack range by 10 and allowing for instinctive precision outside the perception range. However, there were subtle differences in effect.

Upon careful observation, it appeared that the activated Laws differed slightly. Although the skill names are the same and the effects highly similar, for Tier 7 experts, even identical skills become unique to their users.

Unlike Lin Yucha’s penetration-focused enhancement, Lin Yushi’s upgrade emphasized destructive power. If Lin Yucha specialized in Armor Piercing, Lin Yushi specialized in raw damage output.

The two skills complemented each other well. Although Lin Yushi’s attack range still wasn’t as wide as her sister’s, the difference had narrowed considerably. Combined with their Telepathy ability, the sisters’ teamwork had now reached an even higher level. Lin Yucha no longer needed to compromise as much on attack range and combat boundaries to accommodate her younger sister.

Finally, the last skill: Armor Piercing Lock. As expected, downtime indeed allows for strength improvement.

Previously, while everyone was busy, their strength remained relatively stagnant. Now that they had more free time, their closed-door cultivation advancements came quickly. Of course, the busy periods were for gathering resources for cultivation, something Du You fully understood.

Armor Piercing Lock: Archer passive skill. Locks onto a specific target point, greatly increasing hit accuracy and significantly altering an arrow’s flight trajectory. Repeated attacks on the same target point reduce the defensive power and Law stability of the target. Massively boosts Armor Piercing effects. (Level 64, 9-star)

Perhaps because it’s a passive skill, the description of this particular skill didn’t change much on the surface. Content orıginally comes from 𝘯𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭·𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘦·𝘯𝘦𝘵

However, upon testing, Du You found the skill’s improvements to be extraordinarily dramatic.

This skill inherently functions as a lock-on ability, and since it’s passive, it can be applied to most of the archer’s skills. Once a target is locked without their awareness, dodging becomes exceedingly difficult.

This skill can now adjust arrow trajectories even more significantly, making evasive maneuvers nearly impossible.

For instance, using Space Teleportation to evade would require teleporting a great distance; otherwise, the target could still be locked onto again—such is the terrifying aspect of this skill, as proven by Du You in his experiments.

Furthermore, repeated attacks on the same point not only deal more damage but also continuously degrade the target’s defenses, including their Law stability. This means that even Law-infused defenses or weapons fall within the skill’s destructive scope.

In essence, this is a skill tailor-made for dealing with heavily fortified enemies.

However, reflecting on it, there haven’t been many enemies so far that could withstand simultaneous attacks from both sisters—except for monsters like Du You, of course.

Regardless, the advancement of this passive skill significantly bolstered Lin Yushi’s combat capabilities.
