Chapter 104: Chapter 104

The group followed their guide to a place resembling a warehouse, where instead of a large World Boat, there was a sea of smaller, individual World Boats. Each person had one, but all these World Boats were interconnected.

Privately owned teleportation points like these surely had powerful backing. However, to rent out such a large area of World Boats and prevent others from using them was no easy task.

There were over 300 World Boats here, but their group only consisted of just over 200 people. To secure their use, they had to rent out all these World Boats together and prevent outsiders from using them.

"This is just a Derived World. What will happen if we encounter a large Derived World or even an Outer World in the future? Surely, not everyone involved would be from the same group, and there might even be situations of conflict," Du You mused.

As he contemplated, the group had already embarked the World Boat. Outside, people were adjusting the timeline. Only by entering at the right moment could they achieve the desired outcome.

Suddenly, a burst of spirit energy particles flared, their light disappearing as quickly as it came. When Du You’s view changed, he found himself in a new location. It appeared to be a large threshing floor, surrounded by scattered huts. Fresh chapters posted on 𝕟𝕠𝕧𝕖𝕝⟡𝕗𝗂𝗋𝖾⟡𝕟𝕖𝕥

Though the area was in ruins and littered with debris, everyone from their group seemed to have arrived safely.

After scanning his surroundings and deeming them to be safe, Du You immediately opened his console.

World: Northern Struggle. The northern empire is threatened, and the clouds of war are gathering.

Main Quest: Reach the Border City of the Wos Empire

Temporary Quest: Traverse the territory. Beastmen have bypassed the frontline and caused havoc in the rear. Clear the route, cross the Beastmen’s defenses, and reach the Border City to become one of its members.

Noticing a new small notebook and a badge in his hand, Du You understood their purpose after activating his translation function. They were identification proofs of a new recruit.

"All right, everyone is now a new recruit preparing to report to the Border City. Our current timeline corresponds to the early stages of the Northern Struggle. For the first few years, there won’t be any large-scale wars, just minor local conflicts. However, Beastmen have already infiltrated our area, so reaching the border will be somewhat perilous. Prepare to depart."

This group endeavor was unlike their previous ones. The danger prepared everyone for what lay ahead which was the battlefield.

Many of the students were excited prior to arrival, but their faces gradually changed. Du You watched their reactions silently, reuniting with Lao Da and Lao Er after they arrived.

"Prepare to set out. North is our direction. Let’s go," Lin Feng exclaimed, rallying a group of people around him.

These were not ordinary people; they were Awakeners. Circling around these Awakeners were Semi-Professionals. From the beginning, this temporary grouping formed small teams.

Similarly, around the team of Du You, Lao Da, and Lao Er, there were around ten Semi-Professionals.

"We should get going too. Let’s try to reach there before dusk. If it gets dark, the Beastmen will be more difficult to deal with."

"Lao Da, do you know anything about this world?" Du You asked curiously.

Lao Da didn’t hide anything: "This world is relatively famous in our city. There are records in the library, and I have consulted the Magic Network. So I know the general situation."

The network Lao Da mentioned was the Magic Network, not a common one. Common people were unfamiliar with the world of Professionals, and even if they understood, it was of little use.

"Let’s go, I’ll lead the way," Lao Er roared, brandishing his axe and charging forward. Seeing his tier-2 aura burst forth, Du You naturally could feel it. Lao Da was the same; they had all reached tier-2.

In the entire group, perhaps Du You was the only one at tier-3. Oddly, he felt like the long pole in a high pole dance. He wasn’t sure if it was because his companions were upgrading more slowly or he was upgrading too quickly.

Most people seemed to still linger at tier-1. Whether they have switched professions, Du You was unsure. Was it really difficult to earn enough Crystal Coins? Du You didn’t quite understand.

And so, a large group of people set out towards the north. Even though there were only over 200 people, it still looked like a vast crowd. The road wasn’t easy to tread, and gradually, the group stretched out and formed a long, snake-like line, one team following the other. The leading team was led by Xi Qianxue.

They were followed closely by Lin Feng. Du You’s team was in the fourth position, and everyone kept a close distance to each other.

However, it wasn’t long before the first ambush came. Many towering figures with grim faces and sharp teeth rushed towards them, brandishing their huge wooden clubs.

"They’re Half-Beastmen. Cannon fodder for the Beastmen. Take them down."

As Xi Qianxue had explained earlier, the Beastmen had suffered heavy losses before, leading the Beastmen city to fall into a defensive phase. However, they had many Half-Beastmen, a species with a strong reproductive ability.

Therefore, outside the battlefield, Half-Beastmen were the most commonly seen forces of the Beastmen.

However, just because these creatures were cannon fodder didn’t mean they were weak. These Half-Beastmen were all huge. Most of those that managed to infiltrate were tier-2 warriors, with just a few at tier-1. There were even some tier-3 Half-Beastmen though their star levels might be lower.

The first wave of long-range attacks was launched instantaneously. Spells and arrows flew towards the Half-Beastmen. The students who had experienced battle were quick to react and formed small teams.

Seeing about a dozen Half-Beastmen charging at him, Du You knew he couldn’t hold back any longer.

A blood-curdling spell was released, causing a robust Half-Beastman to burst into pieces. The smell of blood filled the air, making many people turn pale.

"What kind of skill is that, Du You? It’s very bloody. Where did you learn that?"

Lao Er, having just rushed forward, was taken aback. However, he quickly recovered and swung his axe. A gust of energy from the axe nearly made the opposing Half-Beastman lose grip of his club. Though he held onto his club, a large wound appeared on his body.
