Chapter 69: Chapter 69

Two pale-faced- vampires were looking down at Damien with a mocking smile on their faces. They both were enjoying Damien's pain as a monstrous satisfaction was visible in both of their eyes.

The vampire who was holding the sword, kneeled in front of Damien, then grabbing Damien's cheeks with one of his hands strongly, he asked with a very aristocratic attitude and proud, " Hmmm... You Stinky Beast! Are you in pain? Do you want me to set you free from this pain?"

Then while grabbing his cheeks more firmly, he chuckled softly and continued again, "Now behave like a good pet and bark. Why are you here?"

But instead of replying, Damien spitted out some blood mixed saliva on his face and pushed him away, collecting all his strength, he stood up and tried to go out of the hall as fast as possible. He didn't have enough strength even to walk straight. He was staggering while holding his bloody belly with one hand.

Both of the vampires jumped on him and were about to stab him when all of a sudden with a loud sound they both fell on the ground exactly next to Damien. It was clear from their positions that they were about to stab Damien again. With a surprised expression, Damien instinctively looked at the opened door of the hall to find out how such a miracle happened.

He saw a young boy who was looking around 19 or 20, standing with a medieval crossbow in his hand. His face was extremely handsome with a touch of innocence. Seeing Damien he flashed a childish smile in a blink of an eye, he reached Damien. Then holding Damien with one hand, he started walking towards the exit. He was extremely fast. Within a second, he dragged Damien and locked the door from outside to prevent those vampires from coming out.

Then looking at Damien, the little boy spoke nonchalantly with his childish smirk, "Hey you are Damien, right? Come fast. Sister is waiting for you."

The boy started walking towards the opposite side of the hall. Damien replied in a weak tone, "Yes. I am. Who are you?"

"Alec Benjamin. Selene is my stepsister," Alec replied while entering a hall. The door of the hall was closed. Alec pushed it open and signed Damien to enter inside. Before closing the door, Alec checked the empty corridor once again.

Still staggering Damien entered and immediately he heard an anxious voice. Selene asked anxiously, "Damn it. Thank the Moon Goddess that you are alright. Why did you take so much time?"

"Umm I was slightly busy with the guards," Damien replied with a silly smirk on his face. Then without wasting any more time he pulled out the small glass bottle and passed it to Selene, Damien continued in a weak tone, "Here take it and finish the rituals first."

Grabbing the bottle, Selene looked in Alec's direction who was standing next to the door leaning against the wall and murmured, "Alec, take care of him. He is bleeding badly. Give him some healing potion fast."

Alec nodded his head positively like an obedient child and immediately disappeared. Damien was sitting on the ground next to the closed door leaning against the wall and his eyes were fixed on Selene who was busy performing the rituals. Damien was still bleeding and his wounds didn't heal at all but he was not worried about anything anymore. He was happy that he completed his task, now none was going to defeat Xander. Even the thought of their victory curled up his lips in a proud smile.

Selene opened the small bottle, given by Damien and poured the scarlet blood into the fire bowl. Immediately the fire ignited and its flames turned into crimson red like the color of the blood. The moment the smell of the blood of his family member hit the nostrils of King Vlad's eyes wide open.

His blood-red eyes were burning in thirst. Opening his eyes, he looked in Selene's direction, King Vlad spoke for the first time in a husky and incoherent tone, "Blood? Where is my prey?"

Instinctively his eyes shifted on Damien whose light yellow shirt was soaked in crimson blood. His healing was really slow as he was attacked by the silver blades and his wounds were still bleeding. The smell of his blood made the king more thirsty. He was sleeping for more than 800 years so his thirst was beyond imagination. His throat was burning for a single drop of blood. Wrinkling his nose slightly, he mumbled in a slightly annoyed tone, "A stinky dog! Didn't I get anything else to serve me?"

Selene bowed her head in a very respectful manner then bowing down her head she replied in a low and respectful tone, "Sorry for the misunderstanding Lord. Damien is the messenger of your blood." Then pointing at the other corner of the hall she continued, "There is your prey and our sacrifice. Exactly what you like the most to prey."

The other two girls who were in black cloaks were standing there, holding a teen girl. The girl was looking unconscious. Her fair skin and reddish cheeks were reflecting the warmth of a pure human, full of life and innocence. Selene signed her companions with her eyes to bring the girl. They obediently placed the teen human girl in front of King Vlad and immediately he pierced the sharp prick of his fangs in the tender skin of the teen human girl. The girl's eyes slightly opened and she let out a small moan parting her cherry lips. But her painful expression lasted for a few seconds only, then again she closed her eyes with a satisfied expression as if she started feeling extreme pleasure. Selene gave a glance towards the direction of Damien then again she shifted her all attention to King Vlad.

During that time when Selene was busy serving the King, Alec entered the room silently and started treating Damien's injuries with some liquid potion that was glowing. The moment Alec applied the blue glowing liquid on my injuries, my whole body started to burn. His whole face wrinkled in pain. He grabbed Alec's hand firmly and gritted his teeth, but he didn't make any sound. Soon Damien's pain turned into a soothing feeling and in a blink of an eye, his wounds started to heal again.

When King Vlad completed sucking all the blood from that girl. He looked up from the girl, parting his fangs from the girl. Then looking at Selene, he spoke again. But his voice was so different from the first time he spoke before.

In a velvety tone, King Vlad asked Damien, looking in his direction, "Welcome Mr. Wolf. What message have you brought for me?" Then getting down from his coffin he signed the companions of the Selene and immediately they helped him to wear a black cloak to cover his naked body.

Damien was almost healed at that moment. He respectfully bowed to King Vlad then replied in a humble tone, "Great Lord, your grandson needs your help. Without the support of vampires, he can't be saved and King Ralph has joined with our opponent instead of helping us. So we didn't have any choice but to disturb your eternal sleep and wake you up." During the whole time while talking Damien was looking at the ground and barely managed to look at the tall and slim silhouette who was standing a little far away from him and looking in his direction with his dark red eyes. His staring was so intense that Damien felt that he could read his soul. His aura was so dominating that even Damien was feeling uncomfortable slightly. His skin was glowing more than before and after drinking the blood of that human girl, it felt like he was looking more refreshed and charming. His smiles were exactly like Xander, mysterious yet magnetic.

"So how is my daughter? Though there is another question, Why should I help my grandson? I haven't forgotten that she married a stinky wolf without my permission," King Vlad replied nonchalantly, sitting on a throne placed on the other side of the hall, though his eyes were still focused on Damien. Then after a little pause, he continued curling up his lips slightly, "Well. I am not offended at you two for awakening me rather I am happy. I will not lie that I am curious too. I would love to meet with my Grandson." As he was talking his smile widened. It was clear from his expression that he was not angry with his daughter anymore or at least not like before.

Damien replied in his same low tone, "Pardon Great Lord. Our queen aka your daughter is no more. She died long ago." The moment King Vlad heard the news of his daughter's demise. His expression changed. His eyes started to burn in anger as if he was going to tear everyone. His expression at that moment was enough to tell how much he loves his daughter.

But he didn't interrupt Damien. Damien explained the whole incident to King Vlad as briefly as possible. But he was aware not to miss any important detail. King Vlad's expression was changing while listening to the incidents of the past.

After finishing the telling of the whole past incidents, when Damien looked up in the direction of King Vlad's he found that his pale face was burning in anger and his red eyes were burning with some unknown demonic anger. He was trembling in anger. He stood up from the throne without saying a single word. Then looking in Selene's direction, he ordered in his velvety voice, "Inform everyone to gather in the court right now." Then after a little pause, he continued again in an authoritative tone, "I want everyone. Every single member of our castle and those who have gone for prey, inform them to come back right now. Tell them, it is the order of King Vlad."

King Vlad left the hall sparing a glance in Damien's direction. Selene immediately ran behind him too and her two companions followed her hastily. When they all left Alec whispered near Damien's ear who was still standing staring at the exit, dumbfounded, "Let's go. The Lord has asked to gather everyone. He seems angry. We shouldn't be late."

Damien nodded his head and followed Alec.

When Damien and Alec entered the courtroom, it was already too crowded with the pale faces Of bloodsuckers. King Vlad was standing in the middle of the stage. Damien could hear the faint murmurs of the crowd but overpowering their voice King Vlad spoke out at the top of his velvety voice in which the anger was clear along with that the thirst for revenge.

"My Comrades, your king is back. Those who dared to touch your princess, have shown the audacity of touching our honor. Don't you all want to show those stinky dogs our real power?"

All of them shouted together with full zeal, "Yes!"

"It is time for our revenge. Prepare yourself, my comrades. Now we will all quench our thirst with the blood of our enemies only. We are going to Silver City tonight."

The chorus of all the bloodsuckers and their angry growling filled the air of the courtroom. That demonic phenomena even sent a chill through Damien's bones.
