Chapter 66: Chapter 66
Two males were chatting in a low and sophisticated manner. One was familiar to me, he was none other than King Ralph.
The other person was on the opposite side of Ralph and a little far away from the cell. He was slightly taller than King Ralph. So at first, only his dirty blonde hair was visible and some other parts of his chiseled body. But when the unknown turned his face to reply to King Ralph, I got a glimpse of stunning facial features. He had a similarly breathtaking handsome face like Xander. They had the same sculpted face, dirty blonde hair(though Xander has dirty blonde hair), and roman nose but his emerald gunmetal eyes were the only exceptions in his stunning face as if they had the power of penetrating the soul.
I couldn't look away from those eyes and exactly at that moment he looked directly in my direction and I felt like a numerous dragger shooting in my direction, piercing my heart. I felt his extremely strong energy which was a thousand times more than a normal werewolf. Within a few minutes they disappeared from my eyesight, but I was still in a daze. His energy was not natural and he was not even a hybrid then what made him so exceptional from other werewolves. Even his energy was stronger than King Ralph. I was startled hearing the sudden voice of Galaxy inside my mind as I was so drowned in finding a logical reason behind it. But despite storming out my brain, I Couldn't find a single reason that could give me the answer.
Galaxy: Milady! It is safe now. Let's go. They left the dungeon already.
Without wasting any more time, we found the last cell of the dungeon area. It was a separate and huge room, guarded by the strange silvery walls. The moment I entered the area a dismal and filthy air hit my face. The damp smell of blood and dust made the air of that area so heavy that it was even hard to breathe. In the mysterious darkness of the underground, I saw some extremely familiar silhouettes, chained with huge silver chains, and exactly in the middle of them, my eyes locked on the person, for seeing whom they were dying for so long. He was shackled with two pairs of silver chains which were stronger than others. There were no clothes on him and his chiseled bare chest was covered with dried blood. From those long bloody marks, it was clear that all of them were tortured very badly. I couldn't think any more about how brutally he was tortured. Tears started to form in my eyes and anger started to boil inside me. I was feeling the heat that was burning me and trying to come out to destroy each and everyone around me who dared to touch my mate. The pain and anger were so sharp at that moment that I didn't even realize that my eyes started burning while preparing to burn everything around me. Exactly at that moment, a soft touch on my shoulder startled me and snapped me back into reality. I looked at the person next to me.
Galaxy was standing exactly next to me. Seeing my eyes, she easily guessed what was going on in my mind. She talked looking up in my direction, "Calm down Milady. We can't do any mistakes now or we all will have to pay. Control your anger." Then while hugging my shoulder in a friendly manner, she started again, "Don't worry. We'll take our revenge. Cyrus has to pay for this."
"There is something not right," Ben's voice interrupted our conversation. Then after a little pause, he continued, "They are all drugged I guess or they would at least respond hearing our footsteps."
"Right. I didn't notice it at all. Are they senseless?" Galaxy asked with a confused expression.
"Hmm... Let's go inside and try to wake them up. I am not sure what drug they are all injected with, so we have to use some magic Milady," Ben replied in a very confused tone. It was clear from his facial expression that he was worried about something.
Taking hasty steps, Ben touched the rod to unlock it but in a blink of an eye, an invisible force threw him on the ground as if he was pushed away by any strength. Startled I ran in his direction, Galaxy also followed me. Kneeling, I asked looking at him with a very confused expression, via mind link, "What happened, Ben? Why did you fall? Is there something on the lock?"
My eyes were fixed on the lock, searching aimlessly for the invincible danger, which was silently hiding under the veil. Galaxy was worried too. She was showering rain of questions via mind link but he was not responding. Instead of responding he was moaning with a very painful expression as if he was not able to hear any questions from us.
I whispered in a low and worried voice, leaning slightly forward towards Ben's direction, "Ben, Why are you not answering us? Are you in pain? What happened to you suddenly?"
While moaning in pain, Ben replied, greeting his teeth, "Mila-milady! Ugghh! There is an invincible silver world. Ugghh! Created by magic with silver materials." He couldn't speak anymore. Pressing both hands against his stomach, he started coughing blood. Throwing some dark red blood mixed with saliva on the ground, he looked at Galaxy with teary eyes as if he was trying to tell her something but he was in too much pain to talk. Galaxy didn't waste any more time and sitting on the ground of the dungeon area next to Galaxy placed Ben's head on her lap and her hand started caressing Ben's forehead.
Tears started rolling down from Galaxy's eyes. Helplessly hugging Ben, she started mumbling in a teary and low voice, "Ben! Ben! Look at me. Nothing will happen to your love, just hold on a bit. You will be alright."
I was also sitting next to them but I was confused about the invincible wall about what Ben was talking about. I couldn't know what magical power exactly Cyrus used that pushed such a powerful werewolf in front of death.
Yes! Death!
I was getting a very strong negative vibe as with every passing second his face was turning pale. His expression was turning worse than before.
Ben was staring at Galaxy's face blankly as if he was not in a state to understand anything anymore. In response to Galaxy's words, he only raised his trembling right hand while still pressing his other hand against his stomach. His trembling fingers started caressing the pinkish cheeks of Galaxy while trying his best to wipe her tears. Then after struggling a lot, Ben parted his trembling lips to say something to Galaxy but before any word could come out from his lips, his body curled up in extreme pain. It was clear from his expression that he was not getting enough expression. After struggling for the next few minutes, Ben's muscular body went numb. Only a few drops of blue blood rolled down from the corner of his mouth. During the whole time, Galaxy was sobbing and trying to ease Ben's pain but when she realized that all her effort went in vain, she couldn't suppress her tears anymore. No matter how strong a girl she was. She burst into tears. For a female werewolf seeing her fated mate, dying in front of her eyes was equal to experiencing the pain and suffering of Hell on the earth.
Placing my hand gently on Galaxy's shoulder I tried to calm her down. But she was shaking Ben with all her strength, while mumbling again and again, "Ben. talk to me. Don't leave me like this." Then looking at me, she asked helplessly, "Milady! Do something. He is not breathing." Then while sobbing she continued, "I will die if anything happens to him."
"Galaxy calm down. Control yourself," I answered in a very calm and low tone. Galaxy was still sobbing but she couldn't disobey the words, Luna. When I found that she calmed down more than before I kneeled to check the heartbeats of Ben. Though my heart was also stomping rapidly from Ben's symptoms, it was clear that there was no life left in his huge body.
Yet I tried to check his pulse and heartbeat, I couldn't even sense his energy anymore. His body was numb. It was clear he was no more. He just passed away in front of my eyes in such an unexpected and unbelievable way.
Ben was no more. His body was lying numb in front of my eyes and it felt like with him, all our hopes died
