Chapter 64: Chapter 64
The door opened and instantly a strange colorless yet amazing world appeared in front of my eyes. I couldn't believe my eyes. It was a dark and dusty world. I slowly walked out of the cave alley. Instinctively, I looked up at the sky but there was no sign of sun but a grey colourless palette was looking like the sky of the human world and a dim pale light was reflecting from the sky. There was no sign of any living creatures but grey meadows and strange types of trees whose leaves were red and all branches were black. It was strange but beautiful. I was so curious that instinctively I started walking towards one of those trees. But, Galaxy's voice distracted me.
"Milady, don't go near the trees. They suck animal or human blood who go near them without knowing about them and survive like that. I am not sure it can harm you or not but better we stay aware," Galaxy explained, taking a few steps closer to me.
I replied in a surprised tone, "Human? From where do humans enter here? Is it possible for an ordinary human to enter into our world?"
"Sometimes. I can't say that it is impossible but it is not a common or normal incident. Some humans enter out of curiosity who study us or know something about us and cannot return and some by mistake." Galaxy explained in detail while walking slowly towards a particular direction.
I nodded my head in understanding. Then, sparing a last glance at the tree, I silently followed her.
We were walking towards the main royal city. After walking for a few more minutes, I noticed a crowd of creatures looking like humans but they indeed had something extraordinary which was indicating that they were not ordinary humans. They had an unearthly aura and beauty. All of them were wearing different types of clothes, reflecting varieties of cultures. We almost reached the crowd. We easily disappeared among the crowd. I didn't have any human smell anymore as I transformed into a pure Angel so nobody doubted us.
Galaxy suddenly raised her one hand then turning her head, she stated, "Look, this is the castle of Silver City. The most beautiful castle of the Underworld."
My eyes instantly looked in the direction. I couldn't believe my eyes. It was so beautiful and unexpected. A colossal castle made of shiny black stones and wonderful designs standing in front of my eyes, owning a vast area and reflecting its elegant and dominating aura. It was so beautiful and unearthly that I couldn't look away from it for quite a long minute. My amazed expression broke by the whisper of Galaxy.
She whispered near my ear, "Milady, we cannot go near the castle, using the main gate like this. Some guards will ask to show them the invitation to the Blood moon festival and we don't have it, so we can't take any risk." I realized that the Galaxy had a valid point. I thought that we could disappear in the crowd of visitors but it was not possible if they would check all the guests before entering the royal part of the silver city. We didn't follow the crowd of the guests anymore and Galaxy led me to a separate small alley. I was not aware of exactly where we were going.
I asked Galaxy while walking away from the crowd, "Do you know anyone here who can help us? Or, do you know any other gate or secret passage through which we can enter inside the royal city?"
"Yes, Milady. I know someone here who can help us. He is a soldier of Cyrus's army. He can help us," Galaxy explained while walking in front of me and showing me the way.
I asked in a confused tone, "But why will he help us if he is a soldier of Cyrus? Aren't we enemies?"
Galaxy replied, "He is our secret informer who gives us all the updates of Silver City, I don't know why he didn't manage to inform me about this sudden attack of Cyrus." Then after a little pause, she continued, "I hope he is alright and he can help us in finding My lord." I didn't reply to her anymore and followed her silently.
After walking for quite an ng, Galaxy stopped in front of an old house in the deserted part of the city where there was no crowd or visitors. Galaxy examined her surroundings carefully for a little longer than usual. Then, she knocked on the door as silently as she could. I was standing behind her while observing every single thing in that world. Every animal and insect was strange there. They were all craving for the blood and flesh of their prey.
Within two or three knocks a tall dark-skinned boy with green eyes and brown hair opened the old wooden door. Instantly his young yet handsome face lit up in unexpected joy. He was older than Galaxy. His light green eyes were fixed on Galaxy's face. They both were staring at each other as if they were long-separated lovers. There were clear signs of extreme happiness on their faces.
Clearing my throat from behind, I stated in a low voice, "Galaxy, we cannot stand like this whole day. Why don't you ask him to call us inside?"
They returned to reality from their dream world hearing my voice from behind. Galaxy's face immediately turned red and she instantly looked down, breaking her eye contact with that boy. But before Galaxy could talk, the boy talked in a polite and humble tone, "Milady, pardon my stupidity, please come inside." I flashed a smile at him. Then, Galaxy and I both entered his house.
Closing the door behind us, the boy spoke again. But, that time he was looking at me with a bright smile on his lips. He continued, "I am Ben, an obedient secret servant of yours and Milord."
I replied with a smile, "It is a pleasure meeting you Ben." Then sparing a glance at Galaxy, I continued, "You two know each other quite well. I think." While scratching the back of his head, Ben replied, "Yes. Galaxy is my mate. So, we know each other very well."
A teasing smile instinctively appeared on my lips.
We traveled a long way so both Galaxy and I were extremely tired. So, Ben arranged to separate the rooms for us after serving hot delicious lunch. I was really tired so the moment my head touched the pillow I fell into a deep sleep. Ben assured me that we still had the time and he exactly knew where Xander was. So, he told us to take a nap after that we would discuss our next step.
When I woke up it was quite late. Ben arranged a clean room for me on the second floor of the house which was not luxurious but was indeed comfortable and full of essential types of furniture and things. I picked outside through the window, the locality was as empty as before but there was a change at that time. It was nighttime as there was no light like before. The whole area was peach dark and the sky was dark red. I could see the dense forest from the window far away from Ben's house.
After freshening up, I came down from the second floor and in the drawing-room, I found Ben and Galaxy both were waiting for me. They welcomed me with bright smiles. I asked again looking at Ben, "Now tell me. Where is Xander? I want to reach him right now, tonight."
"Milady, Milord is in the dungeon along with all other bodyguards but there are lots of guards at night time so it is not a wise decision to go there at night," Ben explained.
Galaxy asked looking at me, "Why not use your time controlling power Milady? Then, we can easily pause everyone and enter the castle."
I replied while walking towards an empty seat, "Because my power has a limit I cannot control time for eternity. My limitation is a maximum of one hour. So, I don't want to use it while entering the castle."
Then after a little pause, I continued again, "I have thought of pausing the time while escaping from the castle. Then it will be easy for us to escape from their top-notch security."
"Fair enough. Milady, you indeed have a good plan. What about attacking back? When will our backup reach here?" Ben asked in a curious tone. Then after a little pause, he continued with a worried tone, "But Milady, we have to be very careful before our backup's arrival. We can't make any mistakes, it can be very costly."
I nodded my head in agreement and asked in a low and sad tone, "Is Xander alright? Have you met with him and other soldiers of us?" I was indeed feeling a huge void inside me.
"I met Milord a few times. He is very weak and they are not giving him food. But, I can assure you that they will not touch Milord or any of the soldiers until tomorrow night. We have to save them before midnight tomorrow."
Galaxy asked in a confused tone, "Why? Why aren't they going to harm Milord, especially before tomorrow?"
"Because tomorrow is the day of the blood moon. As you already know that according to Myth, if you will sacrifice at the night of the blood moon in front of the Moon Goddess, you will get all the power and strength of your sacrificed lives," explained Ben, after a little hesitation.
I was shocked by hearing his reply. That meant Cyrus was thinking about sacrificing Xander's life to get his power. My body stiffened instantly. Ben noticed my darkened expression. So, without delay, he stated again, "But we still have time. Before midnight, we can easily save Milord."
Galaxy also agreed with him.
I was nagging to go to the castle that night, without delaying anymore but Ben explained to me again and again how risky that was to trespass at night.
Rest of the night we spent while planning about the next day. We decided to enter the castle in the daytime when the main gate would open for guests.
The night was quite long for me. I didn't close my eyes for a second. I spent the whole night sitting next to the opened window of my room. I was staring at the peach dark forest blankly while I was murmuring again and again, "Rebeca where are you? I need you the most, right now."
I couldn't manage to contact Rebeca since I returned from Granny's house. I tried, again and again, to summon her like before but that time, for some reason she didn't appear like always. Lots of questions and fears were crowding inside my mind.
I didn't notice how the night ended so fast. A strange red-eyed insect caught my attention as it was flying in front of the window, then only I noticed it was already daytime. A dim light like yesterday started reflecting from the grey sky. I saw a few strange-looking birds were flying here and there. They all had one similarity. That was their red eyes which were indicating carnivorous natures.
According to our plan, both Galaxy and I reached the exact opposite side of the castle. There was another entry for the castle's servants, soldiers, and other staff. Through that door, all the food and other supplies were taken inside. We were waiting behind a cover a little far away from that door. Ben already left the house at his fixed usual time. We could see Ben, standing with three other soldiers in the same soldier's outfit as others.
They were counting the trucks of food. There were almost 7 or 8 trucks of food waiting in a long line, for getting permission to enter inside. But Cyrus's soldiers were too strict. They checked all the trucks very thoroughly then only one of the soldiers signed his hand to open the door to let them enter inside.
Galaxy and I both were waiting for that particular moment, as Ben already told us about it. The moment they opened the door. I closed my eyes and with a circling and swift movement of my hand, I paused the time. Galaxy was holding my hand so for a moment everything stopped except Galaxy and me. We took just a minute to open the back door of the last truck which was standing exactly near us and hid behind the huge boxes of raw meats and fleshes. Then, I realized the time again.
