Chapter 59: Chapter 59
Hazel,
I saw mom's eyes turn red. While sobbing, mom mumbled, grabbing dad's shirt, "I know everything. Just tell me, do you love me?"
Dad didn't answer. Instead of answering that question, he replied, still caressing mom's cheeks with his fingers, "Calm down, Rhea. You are still weak." "No, tell me the truth. If the answer is no then also you have to tell me today," demanded mom like a child.
Dad replied calmly, "You are special to me, Rhea. I like you, so much. Or why do you think I come to meet you again and again? But, it is not-"
Before dad could finish, mom buried her face in his broad chest and hugged, encircling her slander around dad's neck. Dad paused for a moment then without thinking anything hugged her back. Suddenly the vision turned black for a second. Then, I saw that it was already the next morning. Mom was sleeping like sleeping beauty and lying next to her, dad was staring at her beautiful face. After blinking several times, mom opened her eyes slowly. The moment she noticed dad's stare at her, her cheeks turned into crimson red. She shyly asked, "You still here? I thought you will leave."
Dad replied with a charming smile on his lips, "I couldn't leave today. You were looking so beautiful when you were sleeping that I felt like I can spend my time only staring at you, till the end of the world."
Mom replied shyly, "Don't exaggerate. Angels are way more beautiful than me."
Dad replied again, "Yes, they are beautiful than humans but they don't blush like you. They are not so full of life as you." Mom blushed again. From that day, dad used to visit mom more frequently. Even dad and mom used to go to see northern lights together sometimes. Dad used to carry mom in his strong arms and fly to various beautiful places. Mom's life was no less than a fairy tale. They used to talk for hours.
Almost after two months, one day when mom was in her college, attending a lecture, suddenly she fainted in the middle of the lecture. The college authority instantly sent her to the medical department. When mom regained her sense, she found herself, lying on the bed of the medical department. She looked at the lady doctor, who was standing next to her and checking some papers in her hand, and asked in astonishment, "What happen, doctor? Why I fainted suddenly?"
The doctor was a middle-aged lady. She smiled charmingly and replied, "You have a boyfriend. Right?"
Mom replied in short, "Yes. Why?"
The doctor replied again, "Call him to pick you up if possible. There is a piece of good news for you two. You two are going to be parents. Take care of this little life inside and eat well."
After patting mom's shoulder gently, the doctor left. Mom was still in shock as if she was not able to understand how that was even possible. After full filling, some basic formalities mom left the college alone. It was already late so mom didn't go to her work that day. She was looking extremely anxious and tense. She was lying on the sofa while staring at the ceiling blankly.
Suddenly, with a mechanical sound, the door opened and dad entered the room as usual. But when he found mom, looking so worried, he immediately knelt on the floor and gently touched her forehead, dad asked, "Why you are looking so tensed?"
Mom didn't notice him. Startling she looked at dad and immediately she buried her face in dad's chest and started sobbing. Dad asked with concern, "Calm down, Rhea. Why are you crying? Tell me. Don't cry, sweetie."
Mom stopped after a long minute, then while sobbing she replied, "I want the baby, Ammenediel. I want to give birth." With a surprised expression, dad asked, "You mean you are pregnant?" Mom only nodded her head in agreement while staring at dad with her teary eyes. Dad immediately pulled her in a hug and replied in his gentle tone, "Silly girl. It is such good news why are you crying?"
Mom mumbled still hugging dad, "I thought you will not accept it. After all, I am a human only."
"Never Rhea. How can you even think like that? We will give our child a beautiful life. You don't have to worry at all. Now smile," Dad assured in his beautiful way. Mom smiled while weeping both cheeks with her slender hands. Dad gently kissed her forehead and murmured, "Silly girl. I am so happy hearing such a piece of good news and you are crying here." He engulfed mom in his warm hug. Mom mumbled while resting her head in his chest, "Didn't you say that it is illegal to mix up divinity and humanity?"
Dad replied with a concerned and serious tone, "Yes it is a crime and I know I have done a huge mistake but nobody can harm you and our child. You don't have to think anything. Now come, let's cook something together."
Dad spent the rest of the night with mom. It was almost dawn when Dad left silently, placing a soft kiss on mom's forehead. Mom was still in deep sleep. Dad wrote a note on a paper for mom, before leaving.
When mom woke up it was almost 8 am. Mom found that dad already left, though it didn't surprise her at all. She knew dad has lots of duties to perform. When she found the piece of paper on the bedside table, her face lit up happily. While humming a tune happily, she headed to the washroom.
It was almost a week, Dad didn't come to meet mom. Though mom was missing him badly I could guess it seeing her expression but it was not the first time after all dad was an Archangel.
But when it was almost 20 days mom started feeling that something was wrong. She decided not to return to Granny as, at that time, the child before marriage was not a well-accepted incident by society. So she decided to visit Granny after my birth. She started feeling lonely. There was none to help her. Mom's only good friend could help her but mom couldn't even tell her the whole truth. So mom locked herself in her house and stopped going to college. She only used to word in the store and spent the rest of the day in her home. It was a month then and still, dad didn't come to visit mom.
