Chapter 49: Chapter 49
Hazel,
I replied, looking at Xander, "I can control time. I will stop the time and along with the time everyone will stop, we can escape, using this opportunity." But Xander asked curiously, raising one of his eyebrows, "But will we not stop along with the others?" "No, those who will be in contact with me physically, will stay active like me. So all of you can use that opportunity for staying active, during the process, that's it," I explained to them clearly. "Alright, let's do this, but I want to take Selene with us," Damien replied. "Alright," Xander replied. Then looking at me, he asked, "So how long can you stop the flow of time?" "I am too exhausted, I am afraid I cannot control it long enough, maximum 15 to 20 minutes. We have to escape within that time," I explained. Xander nodded his head.
Immediately, I raised one of my hands and closed my eyes. It took only two seconds to stop the time as I was already well acquainted with my powers at that time. I knew the process of controlling time very well. As expected, except Damien, Liam, Galaxy, and Xander, all members of the castle froze along with the time. Xander ordered to search every room of the castles but there were numerous rooms. So I decided to search Selene by following her energy. "Xander, I can feel Selene's energy so there is no need to search every room," I exclaimed. I was well acquainted with her energy. Soon I started feeling the faint power of her energy which was coming from the dungeon passage of the castle. I immediately ran towards the dungeon rooms and everyone followed me. There we found Selene easily inside a room and Damien picked her up. She was also frozen.
Within the next ten minutes, we successfully came out of the castle. When I reactivated the time we were already far away from the vampire's grip. I sighed in relief only when we crossed the death door, linking the underworld and the human realm. Selene was shocked when she saw herself in the car with us. But we were not in the state to explain anything at that moment. Xander drove the car silently towards our castle in the Northern forest. We all were silent during the whole journey. I was feeling extremely tired and my hands were numb as I used a large amount of my energy. When we reached the castle, it was already evening. Darkness was engulfing the wild forest, reflecting its mysterious beauty. Xander didn't say a single word, with a gloomy and cold expression on his face, he opened the car door for me and picked me up like bridal style, and started walking towards his bedroom. I knew Xander was angry with me and it was justified also. So, I kept quiet in his bedroom. He gently placed me on his soft delicate bed. After reaching his bedroom, I decided to clarify my side and explain everything immediately. Though I was feeling dizzy, I mumbled in a wobbly tone, "Xander, listen I wanted to say you every-" But he didn't give me the chance to complete my sentence and replied in a grave tone, "Take rest, Hazel. We will talk later." Then immediately he left the room like a storm and with a loud sound the door of the room closed. I laid down dumbfounded. Though I was not in the mood to sleep as I was really worried about Xander and it was clear that Xander was angry with me but within a few minutes I fell into a deep sleep.
When I woke up, it was midnight. I found myself alone in the bedroom, lying comfortably on Xander's king-size bed. I was feeling quite energetic so I decided to find Xander. I left the bedroom and started walking towards the second floor. The third floor was almost empty as if all were asleep. When I reached the second floor I started feeling Xander's energy, strongly. I was sure that he was near me. So I headed in his direction. The door of the room was closed and inside I could hear several familiar voices, discussing some serious matters. I pushed the closed door and entered inside without knocking and instantly everyone inside the room looked at me with a startled expression. Every important person was present there like Granny, Francesco, Luciano, Damien, Liam, Galaxy, Selene, and some other unfamiliar members. Seeing their startled look, I murmured in a nervous tone, "Sorry, I know I should knock. I think I should leave. You people must be in the middle of some serious conversation." I didn't expect there were so many people as I was so focused on Xander's energy. Lowering my head, I started stepping back. But Granny's voice stopped me. Granny said in a calm voice, "Hazel, dear, you don't need to leave. We were waiting for you. Come here. You don't even need to knock or take permission dear. You are the future Luna and Queen so your presence is mandatory for every serious and official discussion." Granny pointed towards a seat next to her and I obediently sat there. I looked at Xander who was sitting nonchalantly, still with a cold expression on his face. It was clear he was angry for some reason. My heart skipped a beat looking at his grave expression as it was not a usual incident for me.
Damien was the first one who asked the most vital question. Everyone might be waiting to know the answer to that question. Damien asked curiously, "Hazel, you are looking better now. So if you have no problem, will you tell us who exactly you are? Surely, you are neither a human nor a creature from the underworld. Then who exactly are you?" Biting my lower lip, I looked at Xander, who was still sitting in the middle of the room silently, without even sparing a glance at me. I decided not to delay anymore. Clearing my throat, I replied, "Actually, I even myself didn't know my real identity, until the night of the engagement. I am an angel, the daughter of great seraphim Amenadiel." I described the whole story of my transformation. Everyone listened to me, without interrupting for a single time. When I was done, telling the whole story, it was Francesco who asked curiously, "So you are saying you can even control the time?" Before I could reply, Damien replied, "Yes, she can. We have already seen that." Liam interrupted Damien and explained excitedly, "Actually it was Milady, who saved us that day on the street from those rogues. But we didn't want to tell anyone, except Milady's permission." Galaxy agreed, "Yes from that day we knew Milady is not an ordinary human. She is the only one who is perfect for being our Luna." "Have you met the Seraphim Amenadiel before?" asked Liam curiously. I replied, nodding my head negatively, "Not yet. I only have met with my guardian angel Rebeca. She has trained me to recognize and control my power." They continued discussing my powers among them but my eyes were fixed on the cold expression of Xander who didn't say a word till then. Though Granny was also silent her expression was worried and shocked, not at all cold.
After a long pause, Xander asked in his grave husky voice, "So you knew about your real identity from that day of my engagement. Right?" Looking down on the ground, I nodded my head and replied, "Yes, I can explain that. Rebeca said not to tell anyone and I was not sure about my power at that time." Xander sighed and mumbled, "Anyone! Huh!" "Xander, trust me I wanted to tell you before and I was going to tell you. I didn't know it would reveal like this," I tried my best to explain my situation to Xander, biting my lower lip nervously. I knew that I hurt him and he was sad actually. Xander didn't say anything.
But it was Granny whose word made the entire room silent. She exclaimed in her motherly tone, "At last, the time has come. The pureblood is going to resurrect on the throne, to rule not only the werewolf but also the entire Underworld. All the disharmony among the creatures of the Underworld will ultimately disappear. I have to say the process of Xander's resurrection on the throne is going to be enigmatic and magical." Francesco and Luciano exclaimed almost together, " Are you trying to say the same thing we are assuming? Are you trying to say that The Prophecy of Moon Goddess has come true?" Granny nodded her head and replied calmly looking at me, "Yes, I think that Hazel is that girl."
"Prophecy? Which Prophecy are you talking about?" I asked without understanding a single word of Granny. But before Granny could reply, Xander asked astonishingly, "Are you sure? We all thought it was not possible. An Angel will never live with us." Xander looked at me with a disappointed look. I could see an unknown pain in his beautiful eyes.
