Chapter 20: Chapter 20

Hazel,

My head was aching and I couldn't feel my body. I feebly opened my eyes and surprisingly saw a familiar ceiling in front of me. No doubt, I was not on the road but couldn't recognize the place. I slightly turned my head to look at the surroundings and miraculously found myself in my mom's house. There was no sign of dust or cobwebs, on the other hand, it was completely cleaned and a bright cozy bedroom. I slowly sat on the bed. The room was empty and it was filled with the furniture like the last time but the furniture no more looked deserted or ages old. The windows were covered with delicate curtains. I found myself in a light yellow comfortable nightgown. I thought I might be seeing some dream, as I was in Anchorage forest road and it was impossible for me to reach in the old society of Valdez. None knew me in Anchorage and those who knew they all were in the party so it was indeed a dream.

But my misconception broke when Rebeca entered the bedroom with a bowl of chicken soup in her hand. She looked as always beautiful and elegant. I surprisingly asked, "How did you find me? So you have brought me here? And these all renovation?" She with a soft smile replied, "Yes, I have done these all. But now you eat the soup first, or your headache and weakness will not recover." Sitting beside me, she handed over the bowl of soup. I obediently took it and sipped it. It was heavenly delicious and of course, had some magical charm. I replied, "Umm, it is delicious. Thank you, Rebeca."

She started explaining seeing my satisfied look, "don't mention, dear. Now it seems like you are ready to know the truth of yourself."

I instantly recalled the strange incident and blurted out, "Yes, yes. Something strange happened last night. The fire was coming out from me and me - I was like floating and strong energy you know what everything so strange. I cannot explain. And Xander also lied to me, betrayed-" I couldn't complete my sentence instead a sob came out.

Rebeca placed her hand on my head and gently patted and caressed the back of my head, she answered all my questions. She replied, "Listen Hazel. It is nothing strange. It is your true self. You have completed living your human life. You are not a human, dear. You are an angel. You are the daughter of Seraphim Ammenadiel, superior to angels and the first creation of God. Though your mother was a human you possess your father's quality. As you possess human blood so you have lived a long 20 years as a human but now you are an immortal, no human can harm or kill you." I didn't interrupt her when she finished, I asked, "Why my father have never met me? Then who killed my mom? Why father didn't save my mom?"

Rebeca replied, "Because your dad and your mom committed a crime. Humanity and divinity cannot coexist together. So Ammenadiel has been punished by Zeus that he will never be able to return to the earth again and there is another story behind your mom's death. I will show you later. You only remember, they both love you a lot and that's why they are living far away from you as they want you to be safe."

It was quite clear for me, though numerous questions were there till then, at least I found my dad and my true identity. A strange question appeared in my mind suddenly. I asked, "Rebeca, when can I fly? Do I have wings?" Rebeca with a broad smile replied, "Not now it will take some years, but when you will leave the earth and will start living in heaven or underworld you can fly. But except for wings, you have lots of powers, exactly like your father. The only difference is that your power is not as strong as him." I asked curiously, "Which kinds of power? Like fire?" She replied, "Yes you can use fire and water, the two most powerful elements as a weapon and you can control the flow of time like slowing the time, pausing the time, etc. Now you can only control the time for a few minutes not more than five to ten minutes but if you practice it for few times you can control it for almost a month or year." I nodded my head and asked, "How did you find me?"

Rebeca replied, "I can feel your energy dear, I am an angel too. So don't you want to know about Xander?" I muttered in disappointment, "No, I don't even want to hear his name anymore." I felt tears in my eyes again. His thoughts were only increasing the bleeding in my heart. Rebeca replied, "Dear, I know how much you love him. So before rejecting him, you should at least once see how he has spent this whole week, then you can decide yourself what you want to do."

I asked in confusion, "Whole week? Am I here for a week?"

Rebeca replied in a soft tone, "Yes, you are here for 9 days. Your transformation from human to angel has taken more than a week."

I was surprised, it meant I didn't know what was going on outside the world. 'Is Xander really in a bad condition without me or enjoying his time with his fiancé?' The stream of my thoughts was broken by Rebeca's voice. She handed me a bowl of water and told me, "Utter his name and you will find all your answers about Xander. Dear, I hope you will at least judge his side once before deciding."

Then she left me alone. I was confused but Rebeca was right at least I should listen to him once. So without any second thought, I murmured feebly, "Xander."

I immediately saw, 'Xander in his engagement's tuxedo, is becoming ready. Beside him, Damien is standing. They both have expressions on their face. '
