Chapter 18: Chapter 18

"I'm grateful to all the people who attend the celebration that will take place today. I am also happy about the presence of the princes. I will not beat around the bush anymore and announce that Fen Cheng will be the new emperor," the emperor said.

People in a row who were members of the palace knelt. One by one they paid tribute to Fen Cheng while everyone bowed as a sign of respect including Bingwen.

After the ceremony, a man with long hair applauded first. He is wearing a blue robe and has a mark of a dragon. A symbol that he was also one of the princes who ruled elsewhere.

He snatched everyone's attention but he continued what he was doing and talked, "After all the time you've gone through, you finally had the title Majesty. Now that you're a full-fledged emperor and can no longer leave the palace, is there still a chance for you to help me if I declare war on another tribe?" The man laughed out loud.

That man was Cladius, the emperor of Nero. He is known as an emperor who loves to declare war to seize the people and make them his slaves. It was no longer covered by the Qing Dynasty so Fen Cheng could not tamper with that.

Fen Cheng did not like him because he abused his power and is a dictatorship.

"From the very first I had no intention of having an alliance with you. We have a different way of treating people Your Majesty. But I am still grateful that you came today," Fen Cheng said seriously.

A man joins their situation because he noticed that the ambience of the two was no longer good. This was Augustus, the emperor of Hadrian. He's a completely known emperor with lots of concubines because he's easy to get bored.

"It is indeed a pleasure that you will be the one who replaces the beloved emperor because of your strength and courage Fen Cheng. I tried to not miss this day even though it took me a week to come here. Do you have any different kinds of wine that you can offer to me and Cladius?"

Feb Cheng snaps his fingers and a man walk closes to him from the back.

"Give them the different types of wine that have been made," Fen Cheng state.

Fen Cheng saw that Bingwen was no longer in his place before. He was about to leave when a woman approached him, the sister of Augustus. She is a white and beautiful woman but not enough for Fen Cheng to like. He said goodbye and tell her that he will come out, the woman tried to stop him but she did not succeed.

During the event, Fen Cheng first passed the former emperor. "Is there a problem Your Majesty?"

"Call the servants and tell them to help me get into my room. I'm feeling a little unwell and have a headache from the noise."

He said goodbye and was told he would call a servant. After ordering them, he went out to look for Bingwen. He went to the front door but he did not see him. He tried in the back but he still couldn't see him. He walked for a few more minutes until he saw the most secluded part. It leads to a garden.

He went in there, his eye first land on the man smiling while a butterfly was on its finger. A gentle breeze blew through the man's robe dress. It was as if Fen Cheng had gone to another world because of the beauty. Bingwen turned to him and his eyes lit up.

Fen Cheng half-ran towards Bingwen, he hugged and kissed him. Bingwen pushed and quickly pulled him to the side. Bingwen looked around and made sure if anyone had seen them.

"Don't just do that anywhere! You're not the same as before, you're with a position now. Don't behave rushed things. What if someone sees us?" afraid Bingwen said.

Fen Cheng softened his face as if hurt by Bingwen's action," “This place is hidden, no one comes much so no one can see us,” Fen Cheng said sadly.

"Even though. You don't know how possibility play. Go back to them, they're probably looking for you already. I'm fine here."

Fen Cheng shook and leaned his forehead on Bingwen's shoulder. Bingwen lifted Fen Cheng's face by touching both of his cheeks. He quickly kissed Fen Cheng's lips and blushed.

"Go back, I'll give you something later," Bingwen pushed Fen Cheng away.

What he said seemed to work for Fen Cheng to follow him. After Fen Cheng left he hurried away to go to the store where they bought the necklace. He clasped Fen Cheng's necklace tightly and left. As he was walking he saw people avoiding the person approaching. He peeked out and saw Augustus going to the jewellery store that he plan to go to. He was flung by running women who accidentally pushed him. Augustus looked at him and the eyes of the man lit up as if he had found the thing he had been looking for.

The man walks towards him and offers his hand. He plans not to take it but he noticed all eyes were on them. He accepted it and stand up.

Augustus smiled at him and said, "May I know your name? Only now have I seen a man exceeding the beauty of women."

Bingwen didn't answer and continued walking towards the woman they bought the necklace from. He even heard some of the gossips telling him he was rude and did not know how to say thank you. Because of what the man said earlier, Bingwen forgot to say thank you because he felt awkward. He moved toward the saleswoman and said he wanted to buy a necklace. Augustus also stood next to him.

“I want to buy your most expensive jewellery,” Augustus said.

He ignored him. Bingwen just waited for the necklace to be placed in the box. Bingwen thought that Augustus would stop but he continued to pester him even though he did not speak.

"Where do you live? I'll send you myself."

"You're so beautiful. I don't know if that's the right term but just now I'm captivated by you."

"Thank you for helping earlier Your Majesty. However, I want to apologize because I'm not interested," Bingwen bowed and said goodbye.

As Bingwen returned, he noticed Augustus was still following him. He quickened his pace and hurried into the palace. When he was inside, Augustus pulled him and confronted him.

"Please agree to be my concubine. I'll dress you up as a woman and won't let them know you're a real man," he held out both of Bingwen's hands.

Bingwen tries to remove his hand from Augustus's grip but it is tight. He knew that even if he shouted no one would hear him, and if there was anyone they would certainly not help him.

"Your Majesty release my hand."

"What's going on here?" Bingwen's fear disappeared when he saw who the man was.
