Chapter 16: Chapter 16
The back of Bingwen's ear and neck were red while he is signing up for the contest. His heart was also pounding so loud because of the agreement that Fen Cheng had with him.
In the back of his mind, he wondered what Fen Cheng might want from him. He hasn't had anything since he lost the fight.
After signing up, he immediately left the crowd. His eyes searched for Fen Cheng. He saw him in the necklace shop. He approached him. He didn’t know why he’d rather look for Fen Cheng than think of running away. Fen Cheng turned to him and motioned to come closer.
The seller lined up the necklaces and explained them one by one. What their mean. He began to show the pyramid shape, "This is the Mighty necklace. Wear it and wish. Many good things will happen to you as long as you believe that you can move mountains."
The next is the heart-shaped pendant with a crystal in the middle, "This is the I love you necklace. It is usually given to those who are in love. Whether there is a relationship or not, it is a symbol that you do not ask to love you back. This is an acknowledgment that they come into your life and you are thankful for that."
She explained the others until only one was left. It's a crown pendant, "This is the last one. It means you don't have anything that you can't do. The person who will give this to you will support you."
"I want to buy the heart-shaped one with a crystal in the middle," Fen Cheng said.
Bingwen thought that Fen Cheng might give the necklace to his lover. He didn’t know why there was pain and annoyance in his heart while thinking that.
The woman had already placed the necklace in a small box. Bingwen was just silent as they returned. They were also able to buy a few clothes.
"Why did you suddenly fall silent?" Fen Cheng laughed jokingly.
He just looked at him bitterly while still not getting rid of his irritation at who Fen Cheng was going to give the necklace to.
He was also irritated with himself as to why he was annoyed with that matter.
"Don’t tell me you forgot the deal, for me allowing you to participate in the contest," Fen Cheng smirked.
"Don't worry I didn't."
They returned to the palace and walked into the room. When they entered, Bingwen put down the things they had bought. He was about to lie down on the bed when Fen Cheng pulled him upright.
"What's your problem again?" Bingwen pulled her hand away from Fen Cheng's grip.
"I want to get the reward."
"Can't it wait?" Bingwen rolled his eyeballs.
Fen Cheng slowly getting his face closer to Bingwen's face. Bingwen could already feel Fen Cheng's nose on his nose. Bingwen tried to back away but there's no longer space. When he stepped back he fell on the bed.
"What are you doing?" Bingwen said while his face turned red.
Bingwen closed his eyes because he seemed to know what Fen Cheng would do to him. He waited a few seconds to open his eyes again. Fen Cheng's chin was already resting on his shoulder as he felt the cold necklace around his neck.
"Don't lose that," Fen Cheng whispered to him.
He was about to push Fen Cheng when he suddenly kissed him on the lips. Fen Cheng's lips just touched his. Fen Cheng got up and left him alone in the room. He was stunned a minute before what Fen Cheng did sinks into him. He touched his lip and felt embarrassed.
Hours passed quickly. Their dinner has arrived but Fen Cheng is still not coming back. He can no longer take it and asked the servant who delivered the food. He is confused by how he feels. Wondering why his heart was beating so fast.
"Ahm. Can I ask why Fen Cheng is still not coming back? I don't mean anything. He often accompanies me to eat food so I just wonder why he still isn't coming back."
The woman smiled at him and replied, "Mr Fen Cheng tells you that he can't accompany you to the meal today. Due to his impending throne sitting many guests came to congratulate him. They came early because they cannot attend the celebration two weeks from now. "
He didn't answer so the woman talked again, "Just tell me if there is anything I can help you with. If you need anything, the guards are just outside the door."
Bingwen could not sleep even it's already dawn. He stared straight at the door as if waiting for someone and at any moment it would open. He just gazed at the ceiling while holding his lip.
When he was completely swallowed up by drowsiness, the door opened. He peeked outside and saw it was still dark. Drunk Fen Cheng entered as he was led by two guards on both arms. They laid him down next to him.
"What happened to him?"
"The prince of the Mongol empire visited to congratulate Mr Fen Cheng. They had a good conversation while having a little wine. Until they reached this time," said a guard while he scratches his head.
"We'll leave him to you. If you need anything just let us know."
"Can you bring me a little cloth and lukewarm water?" Bingwen requested.
"I'll just ask someone to send it to you."
They went out and just a few minutes later the woman with the basin entered. The woman dropped what she was carrying at the top of the short cabinet. She also immediately ask to exit.
Bingwen had already soaked the white cloth in the lukewarm water. He first wiped Fen Cheng's neck and face.
"I don't know why I'm doing this to you. I must hate you because you're the reason my plans were ruined," Bingwen sighed and followed to remove Fen Cheng's clothes.
He saw the scars scattered all over Fen Cheng's body. He started talking to the sleeping man again, "What's happening to me? Why do I feel excited every time you show gestures that shouldn't be shown."
He looked back at Fen Cheng's face and remembered the kiss on him. Even the kiss is quick he can feel the softness of the lips of Fen Cheng.
He brought his face close to Fen Cheng's face. He stared at it carefully, from eyes, nose to lips. His eyes stopped at Fen Cheng lips and give them a light touch with his lips too.
When he snaps back to reality, he quickly put away the basin and never finished wiping Fen Cheng. He climbed on the bed and closed his eyes tightly.
