Chapter 13: Chapter 13

-The year 1644 in Qing Dynasty-

"Attack everyone!" The man riding with the high horse shouted while holding a claymore sword in his left hand.

"You think too highly of yourself Bingwen Wu. You are ready to shed a lot of blood to snatch lands that are not even yours."

The man who spoke was Fen Cheng while the man holding the Claymore sword was Bingwen Wu.

Bingwen laughed mockingly and replied, "I'm just like you. What makes us different is, you are too heroic for people who have no appreciation. Isn't that what people did to us? Took our possession, the land we were trampling on was steal, they also killed the people who wanted to fight back. Now tell me, what is wrong with what I am doing?"

"You are too blinded by the past. You are living in resentment and anger. A mistake will never be right when another sin is added. You will only be taken to the darkness and edge of the abyss by your greed for revenge."

"What does someone like you know? You grow up with the plate already served in front of you and just need to put the food in your mouth. You are not in my shoes so you will never know where the inception of my anger is," Bingwen said as if he was jealous of the life of Fen Cheng.

"But i—"

Fen Cheng was about to speak when Bingwen cut him off.

"You say too much. You even beat my father in the amount of your preaching."

Fen Cheng got off the horse and declared, "If that's what you want. Soldiers! Finish his people! I'll kill Bingwen!"

Bingwen's right hand began to rush followed by the others. Only the clatter of swords could be heard as well as the screams of the slain enemy and soldiers.

Fen Cheng started running towards

Bingwen and quickly pointed the long sword. Bingwen quickly blocked his attack with his claymore sword.

Bingwen pulled out the small balisong on the side of his waist. He used it to attack Fen Cheng while still blocking one hand on Fen Cheng's sword. Fen Cheng quickly backed away.

"You are tricky to play Bingwen. I thought we were only fighting sword to sword but you are still hiding another weapon," Fen Cheng clenched his teeth and his jaw has formed.

"You are just easy to deceive. Don't blame me for not being prepared and trusting the opponent too much," Bingwen ridiculed.

Bingwen was startled by an opponent behind him and planned to stab him. He hastily avoids and angrily looked at Fen Cheng.

"You’re not the only cunning in the two of us. I’m not in my place now if I can't avoid the simple balisong, " Fen Cheng smirked.

Bingwen furiously attacked. Fen Cheng just defends his every attack. Fen Cheng looked behind his back and saw he was near the end of the ravine. He pushed Bingwen back hard with his sword.

Bingwen's people are very few compared to Fen Cheng's soldiers. When Bingwen run his eyes at the battlefield held, he saw that there were only a few people still standing. Some were dead, some were wounded and could not stand anymore.

"I've been holding a sword for a long time compared to you. This sword has stabbed more than the claymore you are holding. You are just a knife that would stab me in the side of my stomach in case you injure me. You can't escape, so give up," Fen Cheng advised Bingwen.

Bingwen did not say a word and continued to attack. Just as Bingwen was about to hit Fen Cheng in the face, Fen Cheng grabbed Bingwen's arm and twist it over, causing him to fall.

He was about to stand up but he was surprised that the long sword was pointed at him.

"Try to move and the point of this sword will penetrate your throat," Fen Cheng said with dignity.

The sound of rattling swords stopped, the uproar ended. Everyone's eye was on the two of them.

"This fight is over. Whoever tries to move, I will take the life of your leader in exchange for it. Whoever was left should go now and leave Bingwen. He will be my servant in exchange for the sins he has committed. I would only give you one chance. Go!"

Bingwen just stared darkly at Fen Cheng. When he looked back at his companions he saw them leaving and looking at him pityingly. Even Cedie Alacon, his right hand couldn't do anything but clench his fist.

"Stand him up and hold him tight. Don't let him get away. Once Bingwen escapes you will all be punished," Fen Cheng instructed and warned.

Bingwen struggles to fight with the soldiers when Fen Cheng notices him, "Don't try to run away anymore. Even you escape from the hands of my people, only high and deep ravines are waiting for you."

"I have no plans to run away. I just don't want you and your people's dirty palms to touch my skin," Bingwen smirked.

Fen Cheng approached him, touched and lifted his chin, "No matter how beautiful your skin is, it will still wear out because from now on you will serve me."

A companion of Fen Cheng arrived and gave him the horse.

"Make him ride on the back of my horse so in case he wants to run away, I will just go straight to kill him."

Bingwen pulled his elbow and pushed the person who was supposed to assist him.

He climbed on the horse before Fen Cheng followed. Before Fen Cheng ride his horse one of his companions asked, "Are you sure we're going to release the other Awakmu members? What if they continue what they're doing?"

"That will not happen, we have taken their leader captive, they can't proceed without a concrete plan."

As they were returning Bingwen whispered behind Fen Cheng, "You'll regret that you haven't killed me while you have a chance."

Fen Cheng acted frightened before speeding up the horse's run, "I'm scared, Mr Bingwen Wu."

When they arrived a large gate showed up to them. When it opened the noise and shouts of the people greeted them. There were people on both sides while they were given space in the middle for them to pass through.

Bingwen heard a small gossip.

"Who is that behind Fen Cheng?"

"I heard he is the leader of Awakmu."

"How did you know?"

"I heard that one of the soldiers sent a letter to emperor and said that Fen Cheng had taken him to be his personal servant."

"What was Fen Cheng thinking and he brought that here ?! What if he brings trouble here."

As they move away, the rumours fade until they are completely away from the people. They stopped at a large and fancy house. This is probably the palace.

They walked in and were greeted by the man wearing a dragon robe. This is probably the emperor.

"I'm back," Fen Cheng greeted, he knelt and bowed. Bingwen did the same.

"Then, you should rest. Tomorrow morning, you call a meeting and I will have an announcement," The emperor reminded.

They said their goodbye and entered one of the rooms in the palace.

"Stay here first and don't go out. I will call a servant to give you clothes and help you clean your body," Fen Cheng said.

Before Bingwen could decline, Fen Cheng exit the door. He runs his eyes in the room and there are not many things to see.

There was a knock on the door and it revealed a woman in a robed dress. She bowed and speak, "I am the one assigned to serve you. Nice to meet you."

Bingwen was surprised because he thought he was going to be the servant in this place.
