Chapter 57: Chapter 57
βNuri's P.O.V.β
It was night again. I couldn't tell the time, but it seemed like it was after 7 pm.
I felt pain on my wrist as they bound us from last night. The bindings were only opened once at 7 am when the men gave us a piece of bread to eat while they pointed their guns on our heads. After finishing the bread and a glass of water, they bound our hands once again. Also, our mouths were again stuffed with the handkerchiefs after we ate food before opening it when the night fell.
I felt the presence of people nearby in the morning. So I understood it was a place where people visited but not that much to find out that a whole Human Trafficker gang was hiding inside a building.
Two men always guarded us with changing shifts. There were a total of 5 people inside the building. I didn't have any idea if any men were outside of the little building. From the window, I could see a train. I didn't notice it earlier, but it was an abandoned station. An old train was even standing on the track.
I read about this place somewhere, but I couldn't remember where. I closed my eyes as I stressed my brain to remember about this place. Suddenly I remembered the place's name," Nungnae Station." I murmured.
I finally knew where I was. Now I needed to seek help somehow and inform the police about this place. My eyes searched the whole floor to find something to help me in this situation, but nothing seemed to catch my attention.
The man who kidnapped me was guarding me as he talked to another man with him. Suddenly I heard footsteps coming upstairs. The men and the girls, including me, glanced at the staircase to know who was rushing upstairs.
Finally, the person stepped up and entered the floor where I was, and my eyes widened in shock. I froze at my place. The man who rushed inside looked the same as the man who was guarding us. I couldn't close my eyes and kept staring at them.
The other men were also shocked to see the other identical man. They talked in between them. I elbowed Sumi and hint to translate their words.
"The other man is saying he escaped the police while an officer tried to kill him." Sumi translated.
I was shaken by Sumi's translated words. That meant the man who tried to kill me first was still in prison until now, and this man was different. They looked like twins. They were two different persons from the very first.
"So the police tried to do his encounter! And he escaped? Is it that easy?" I thought as I was scared.
The last clue to find me was gone with this escaped man.
"How are they going to find me now?" I thought as I clicked my tongue in anger.
"That kidnapper escaped from the prison! Now is there any hope for us to be saved?" Sumi started weeping.
"Sssshhhhh... I told you, we'll go home. Don't cry. Let us find something to escape here." I said.
Sumi's eyes were terrified as she tried to calm down. I knew it wasn't easy for her. But crying was not an option.
Suddenly the man who just appeared here spun and glanced at me as his lips approached a wicked smile. I didn't know what was going inside his head, but I was sure it was not something good.
He sauntered towards me, and I tried to drag myself backward. But it was impossible to move far away with my bound hands and legs. Sweat started forming in my forehead as I let out a high-pitched scream while squeezing my eyes shut.
"HEEELLLLPPPP MEEE!!"
*************
βDaniel's P.O.V.β
Yun-Joon dropped us at the police station and took his leave as soon as he could. Ray and I shared a laugh, watching Yun-Joon escaping so fast. Then we rushed inside the police station.
"Excuse me!" I asked an officer inside the station.
"Yes?"
"Can you tell me where Officer Jung is?" I asked, and the officer pointed at a room a little distance away.
"Thank you."
With that, I moved towards the room with faster steps, and Ray followed me. Entering the room, I saw Officer Jung was sitting on a chair while his eyes were fixed on a laptop and another man was operating the laptop.
As Officer Jung noticed me, he said, "Mr. Kim, We have done the work according to your plan.
Officer Han has fitted the transmitter under that kidnapper's jacket's collar. And officer Han acted as if he was taking the kidnapper somewhere else to do his encounter.
And as you said, the kidnapper tried to escape, thinking he was going to get killed by officer Han and Officer Han deliberately let him go but acted like he couldn't catch the kidnapper."
I took a deep breath. I was satisfied that the plan was moving as I had thought. And now I wanted this kidnapper to join his gang members so we could find out my Nuri and catch those ba*****.
"Now it's our turn to see where he goes.
I hope he goes to the place where your girlfriend has been kept and I hope to get the other missing girls there too." Officer Jung said exactly what I was thinking.
I nodded my head. Ray glanced at me with a confident smile.
"So, where is he moving to?" I asked.
I walked behind the table to take a look at the laptop, which was showing the kidnapper's location.
"Nungnae Station! It is located in Namyangju, just east of Seoul. " The man operating the system answered, checking the map on the half side of the screen.
"Oh... Is anything special about that place?" I narrowed my eyes at the screen.
"Well... That place has an abandoned area. It closed down in 2008, but people visit that place still.
Why is he going there?" Officer Jung rubbed his chin.
"So can we assume he is meeting his gang members?" I asked while scratching my head.
"Not sure yet. Let's follow that man!" Officer Jung stood up from the chair.
"We should take back up if we need to, in case," Ray suggested.
"Four Police cars will be following us from a distance. If we need back up, I'll call them." Officer Jung explained.
"Nice." Ray gave a thumbs up. Hence Ray, Officer Jung, the man with his laptop, and I hopped on the police car. Officer Jung muted the car siren not to alert the Human trafficker who just escaped. The police car ran towards the Nungnae Station.
"Nuri, I am coming to you! Hang in there! I'll save you anyhow!" I closed my eyes for a second as I remembered Nuri's face before she left my apartment.
I felt a hand on my shoulder. Opening my eyes, I saw Ray was giving me a warm smile. I nodded my head. Then I concentrated my eyes on the laptop.
