Dorian gave Alice a serious once-over and then earnestly said, "You’re cuter than a pig."

Alice was speechless, wishing she could shake him by the shoulders and shout, seriously, who talks like that?!

Mabel couldn’t help but burst into laughter. Truthfully, she always thought Alice and Dorian were quite a match; Dorian was so easygoing around Alice, and Alice was completely relaxed around Dorian. She just couldn’t understand why Alice was so hung up on this issue.
