Chapter 400: Chapter 400
Gao Yuyue seemed preoccupied throughout the entire morning.
When lunchtime arrived, Gao Yuyue seized the opportunity to ask, "An’an, do you know who kidnapped you and Liu Runxi?" Read complete version only at NoveI★Fire.net
Shen You’an replied indifferently, "Gao Jie."
"Thud." On the opposite side, Gao Yuyue’s chopsticks fell onto the dining table.
"How can you be so certain?"
She hadn’t held much hope, but unexpectedly, she received an answer from Shen You’an.
"I accidentally overheard Officer Wen talking with Mrs. Liu."
Shen You’an raised his eyes, "So, it’s better not to let this information spread. I’m only telling you."
Gao Yuyue bit her lip, "Gao Jie, who gave him the audacity?"
First, targeting her father; next, kidnapping Liu Runxi—incident after incident, who exactly is protecting him?
"This time kidnapping Liu Runxi touched Mrs. Liu’s bottom line. She will definitely pursue it to the very end."
Shen You’an spoke with a detached tone.
Gao Yuyue nodded, "Then I’ll sit back and see how things unfold."
"Oh, by the way, I should let you know—I’ll be taking two days off in the next couple of days."
Gao Yuyue immediately raised her guard, "What’s wrong?"
"I’m competing in a competition."
Gao Yuyue was taken aback, "Another piano competition again?"
Gao Yuyue tactfully refrained from asking further.
Although she was curious, she never pried too much. She knew that eventually, she would find out—it wasn’t worth being impatient.
The fact that Shen You’an informed her in advance proved that he regarded her as a friend.
And between friends, not everything needs to be asked to the point of obsession.
In the relationships between people, one must understand the importance of boundaries.
Otherwise, even the closest of friendships could breed resentment.
Jiang Shengyao walked over carrying his meal tray and overheard Xu Jian talking with Zeng Liang about some competition. "What competition are you guys talking about?"
"FlyCTF Cybersecurity Competition hosted by Feilian Group," Zeng Liang said excitedly.
Ever since his accidental exploration into the dark web, it felt like a door had opened to a new world. He was fascinated by the hacker realm—it’s the era of the internet now. A skilled hacker was like a swordsman in a martial arts novel, dominating the virtual world; it was incredibly cool.
"Oh," Jiang Shengyao’s response was dismissive, showing a lack of interest.
"Xu Jian’s older brother and his roommate signed up for the team competition. If they manage to win the championship, they’ll get to attend the world Black Hat conference. There’s even a chance to meet the legendary hacker known as the uncrowned king, Phoenix."
Jiang Shengyao glanced at Xu Jian, "Hope your brother and his team achieve great results."
Xu Jian laughed and said, "Thanks for your kind words."
Zeng Liang leaned in and whispered, "Mr. Jiang, I did some research on this competition. The first day is an online challenge round, so we won’t be able to watch. But the second day will be electrifying—it’s a live attack-and-defense round. How about skipping class that day to watch? Xu Jian has a few extra family tickets, and watching the competition live is bound to be thrilling."
Jiang Shengyao shot him a glance, "Skipping class? Do you want Shen Huailu to break your legs?"
Zeng Liang looked puzzled, "Since when did you become so by-the-book?"
Jiang Shengyao scoffed, "Study hard, make progress every day."
Zeng Liang looked at him as though he were seeing him for the first time, "Wait, I suspect you’ve been replaced by someone else."
Xu Jian tugged at Zeng Liang’s sleeve and whispered, "Mr. Jiang has his sights set on getting into Class A—nothing will change his mind."
Zeng Liang sighed, "The power of love truly is limitless."
Jiang Shengyao snapped impatiently, "What are you two muttering about?"
"We’re saying that we’ll learn from you in the future, Mr. Jiang. Forget watching any competitions tomorrow—studying is the priority. The three of us brothers will share both blessings and hardships, and we’ll all get into Class A together."
Only then did Jiang Shengyao smile with satisfaction.
The FlyCTF Cybersecurity Competition is jointly organized by the Feilian Group and Qingzhou University, with the venue set in the main hall on the first floor of Chongzhen Building at Qingzhou University’s School of Computer Science.
As this competition is hosted by Feilian Group to scout and nurture cybersecurity talent, the participants are targeted at youth aged 14 to 22. However, due to constraints in knowledge and experience, most registrants are university students.
The competition is conducted in a team format, typically consisting of three to five members. Of course, the organizers do not mandate team participation, allowing competitors to choose solo matches—though this places extremely high demands on individual skill.
The event consists of two stages.
The first is an online challenge round, while the second is a live attack-and-defense round.
The online challenge round ranks participants based on scores and submission times for solving cybersecurity technical challenges. The topics typically include reverse engineering, vulnerability discovery and exploitation, mobile security, web security, traffic analysis, and more. The duration is generally over forty-eight hours.
