*Navya Pov*

I looked at him in shock and started to ask him 'What is he doing here?'. But before I could utter even a single word, he pulled me into his arms tightly.

"Don't leave me like that, Navya." He said hugging me even more tightly.

"Leave me, Suhas." I said, pushing him away.

"Don't leave me!" He said hugging me like that.

"Suhas! She can't breathe." When Mom said that he left me immediately and looked at me, while I started taking deep breaths.

"I am sorry! I just thought I would not see you again so soon." He said smiling.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him after I got my breathing back.

"This is my mom's house." He replied confused.

"I will go and stay somewhere else then." I said frowning.

"Nonsense! Suhas leave my house." Mom said, pulling me inside the house, and he just stood there shocked.

"Mom!" He said in complete shock tone.

"What? She needs to stay here more than you. So leave my house so that she will not leave." Mom said, looking at him in stern expression.

"She is not leaving anywhere. I am taking her back to Mumbai." He said in a stern tone too.

"I said I need some break. You can't just come here and disturb that break." I said glaring at him.

"You can take that break by staying with me." he said frowning.

"Kids! Go to your room right now. Then sit down and have a talk." Mom said.

We both nodded and went inside the room where we stayed for two days when we got married. I walked towards the window and folded my hands while he sat on the bed.

"What are you doing here, Suhas?" I asked him after a few minutes.

"To take you back with me. I searched everywhere for you." he replied.

"Everywhere?" I asked him frowning.

"I mean I went near your parent's house and to Rajeev's house. When you were not there I decided to come here and leave for Divya's house after taking the address from her." He replied.

"But she is in New York." I mumbled in confusion.

"But the house is here right." He said smiling, making me glare at him.

"Now you know I am here right so please return to Mumbai. I will come after a few days." I said sighing.

"No! I will return with you only." he said stubbornly.

"I am not going to leave you Suhas. I know you can live without me, but I can't. I am that weak in comparison to all of you." I said sitting beside him.

"I can live without you? Are you blind? I couldn't even live for a few hours without you Navya." He said looking at me like I am crazy.

"And that's because I am pregnant. Otherwise, I am sure you will not do something which you did now." I said, getting up again and stood in front of him.

"You are wrong in thinking like that Navya. But first tell me why did you leave me?" He asked frowning.

"Because I am hurt! And I am hurting you too. So I need a break." I replied groaning.

"Why are you hurting me Navya, like you are saying?" he asked with a blank expression.

"Because I feel like I have that right to you. I feel like I have that right to show my anger on you and can tell you anything I want. I feel like you will be there for me, even if I show you my bad side completely. But I shouldn't do that and hurt you like that." I replied holding my head.

He came near me and hugged saying, "You don't know how happy I am feeling right now. If you want I will bring some stick, and you can beat me with that."

I chuckled and said, "You have gone crazy."

"You made me this crazy." He said chuckling.

"But seriously, I really need this break." I said, releasing myself from him.

"I know you are hurt because of your family, but you can't push me away like this." He said looking at me.

"Not only that!" I said before I could stop myself.

"What do you mean?" he asked confused.

"I will tell you, just sit down." I replied and made him sit down on the bed.

"When you told me what actually happened. I got angry at Dad to put some condition like that and then even angrier for deceiving you like that. Then I realized something else." I said and the last sentence in pain.

"What did you realize?" he asked me frowning.

"That, how much you loved my sister. I mean it is really great for you to wait for that much time for her and that to stay away from her along with your mom whom you love so much." I replied fisting my hands so that I will not cry.

"Navya! I don't love her..." he started to say, but I stopped him nodding my head and said "I know you don't love her, and I believe you. But we can't ignore the fact that you loved her for so many years."

"Navya!" he said, looking at me. But I shook my head and said, "And I can't forget that you married me with only one motive even though that is not in your head now, but we got married in that sense of your right. I need to completely accept this fact."

"And... and I fear that you can never love anyone like that again. So I need time to think all these and try to accept the fact that my husband will not love me like he did before for his first love." Saying this, I left the room and rushed towards Mom's room.

I plopped myself on the bed and released the tears which I stopped while talking to him. I felt someone brushing my hair, and I looked up to see Mom sitting beside me and doing that.

"He loves her so much, Mom." I said, placing my head on her lap.

"Shh... I don't think he does Navya." She said brushing my hair.

"No, Mom! Didn't you see how much he did by staying away like that for two years, and he planned all the revenge just because he lost her." I said repeating the words I told her in the morning.

"Do you know what he said when he returned from your house that day after hearing your dad's condition?" She asked and I shook my head looking at her.

"He went inside his room and kept on shouting 'I am not his son'. When I asked him what happened, he told me everything and said 'I need to prove him and everyone that I am not his son, and I can lead a life with a girl without hurting her'." Mom said.

"What are you trying to say Mom?" I asked her confused.

"What am I trying to say is he stayed away from those two years to prove everyone that he is not abusive or a monster like his father, and he too can love a girl. He didn't say he needs to prove his love even though that was the main condition is. But he wanted only to prove about him not being a monster." She replied making me understand what she is saying.

"But he loved her right?" I asked her frowning.

"If he had truly loved her, I mean I know he thinks that, but if he truly did, then he will not return after two years and say 'I proved them that, I am not monster, and I need to go and show him that I am not.'. He said that and left to your house." She replied.

"He didn't say anything about Di?" I asked her shocked.

"No! He didn't. But after returning from your house, he break down saying 'He called me a monster again. They didn't believe me. What should I do to make him believe me?'." She replied.

"He didn't say anything about her until I asked him. When I asked he said 'She is already married, and they just fooled me. But he didn't believe me.' He didn't even tell me whether he is hurt that she got married or not. He was just angry that he was again called monster." She added, making me look at her in stun.

"But he told me that..." I started to say, but she smiled at me and said, "Yeah! He just thinks like that. Truth to be told he never loved her. Because all the time he always said that she didn't react to him like the others. She is talking to me completely normal. She scolded me when I talked about my dad and kind of got depressed. So he never loved her, but yeah, maybe got infatuated or even liked her. But his complete fight is to prove that he can be the best husband and who is better than her as she is even already respecting him right."

"If he really didn't love her, then why did he stay away from you too, just because of that condition and why did he even go through the condition." I said confused.

"Because he knows even if he becomes like his dad, which he thinks, then I will keep him in the straight line. But he wants to actually prove himself too, so he stayed away from me. And like I said he just used the opportunity of that condition to make everyone realize that he is not like his father." She said patiently.

"So he never loved her, but he just thinks he does." I said, but I felt little bad for him because he struggled all the time just for nothing.

"Yeah! But don't tell him that, and I think he already realized it." She said smiling.

"How do you know he realized it?" I asked her shocked.

"Because he must have already thought how could he leave Kavya for two years completely, but now why he couldn't stay away from you even for one day." She replied making me smile at her.

"He really couldn't!" I said laughing.

"Yeah! Now, don't go running to him and be normal. Take your break like you thought staying here and let him do something about your fears which I am sure reduced a little by now." She said and I sat up.

"They did, but not completely." I said realizing it.

"Good! Because I didn't tell you all this to help him. I said so that you will not hurt yourself like this on the matters which are not that much serious like you are thinking." She said, and I hugged her.

She helped me so much then my family ever did...
