Chapter 7: Chapter 7
Rosalie grinned as she sang along to the radio, earning a smile from Dimitri. After their little issue with the breadsticks, the rest of the dinner was peaceful. He was beyond curious about her, he only knew a few things about her. He knew he was falling in love with her if not already. His wolf was attached to her wolf, claiming to never let her go.
Once they returned to the packhouse he could tell the feisty she-wolf was tired. She was dragging herself up the stairs, heels in her hand. He chuckled at her before picking her up bridal style. She was stunned for a moment, but ended up falling asleep in his arms. As he walked down the Alpha hall he was tempted to have her in his room. Of course he would sleep on the couch, knowing she wouldn't be too fond of him sleeping in the same bed as her. However, he opened the door to her bedroom and gently laid her on her bed. He wrapped a blanket around her before laying a gentle kiss on her forehead.
"Goodnight, Rosalie." He whispered then left.
He sighed as his Beta handed him an unopened letter. He swiftly opened it, wanting to get to bed himself.
"Dear Alpha Dimitri,
I've been searching for my mate for a week now and haven't seen any sign of her. I'm beyond worried about her. No other alpha has seen her either. Her name is Rosalie Blood, she's bi-racial, about 5'4. Her wolf is black with two white front paws. If you see any sign of her, please call me immediately.
Thank you.
Alpha Cyrus."
He scoffed at the letter and tossed it on his shelf. No way in hell was he returning her to the bastard, if Cyrus truly loved her then he wouldn't have cheated on her. He took off his shirt, pants, and shoes before climbing into his own bed and falling asleep.
The next morning he thought over the letter, deciding he should at least tell her. He showered before leaving his room, as he reached the kitchen and saw her he ran a hand through his hair.
"Rosalie."
She quickly turned around, smiling at him. "Good morning alpha!" She beamed.
He smiled softly, "Morning, uh, I have some bad news."
She frowned, "What?"
"Cyrus is looking for you."
Rosalie froze, her face paling as she processed what Dimitri had told her. She finally nodded and swallowed, clasping her hands together.
"Why am I not surprised?" She sighed.
Dimitri gave her a sympathetic smile. "I'm not returning you to him."
She snapped her head up, hope lighting up her eyes. "What?"
"I'm not returning you to him. He can go suck a dick for all I care."
She relaxed and thanked him, she wrapped her arms around herself. Even if Dimitri refuses to even tell Cyrus that he has her and won't be returning her she wasn't thrilled. If Cyrus does find out she's with Dimitri she could endanger the pack or worse, Dimitri. The thought of him getting hurt because of her had dread filling her heart.
"Hey, stop worrying, everything will be fine." He assured her.
She sighed, "If he finds out-
"He won't find out, I'll make sure of it." Dimitri stated firmly.
Rosalie nodded, she wasn't fully convinced still. She didn't argue, however, she quietly ate her breakfast. Once she was done Dimitri told her that she would start training today, but privately with either him or his brothers.
"I have to make sure I don't have anyone from your old pack in my pack. Mates move packs." He explained, searching through the documents.
Rosalie patiently sat on a his desk, searching through one half of them. When she found a name that was all too familiar she slapped Dimitri's shoulder.
"You know, there is a better way to grab my attention besides hitting me." He grumbled.
She rolled her eyes but thrust the document into his hands. He furrowed his eyebrows as he read it.
"Who is she?" He asked.
Rosalie sighed, "Cyrus' twin sister."
A/N: I know, short chapter, but I'm school right now lol.
"Okay, so, his actual twin sister?"
Rosalie stared at Xavier with an annoyed glare set on her face. She slowly looked towards an amused looking Dimitri. His smirk quickly vanished when he noticed her glare was now set on him.
"One, I'm going to kill him if he doesn't grow a brain. Two, if you find this amusing you will be six feet under with him." She threatened.
Dimitri swallowed, "And they call me scary." He mumbled.
"Excuse me?" Rosalie seethed.
"You're excused."
Rosalie turned towards a grinning Xavier, she narrowed her eyes. "Hey, Catherine!" She suddenly called.
Xavier paled at the sound of his wife's name.
"Yes?" Catherine replied.
Rosalie smirked, "Can I kill your husband?"
"As long as I get to help, sure."
Rosalie grinned and lunged at Xavier, but Dimitri quickly grabbed her.
"Whoa, calm down there, crazy." He chuckled, setting her down.
She scowled at him, "I'm not a child."
"Well, you're certainly acting like one." He smirked.
She raised an eyebrow, "Should we talk about the breadsticks again?"
"No."
She smiled before focusing on the very confused and slightly frightened Xavier. "I'll let you off the hook this time...Avie." She smirked before walking away.
"Okay, who gave her the idea to call me Avie?" Xavier fumed, looking at a grinning Dimitri and quiet Xander.
"It was all him." Dimitri quickly said, pointing to Xander before running out.
As the brothers tackled each other Rosalie watched from a window. She laughed as Xander and Xavier threw Dimitri into the pool, calling him a cat. She sighed and started thinking about Cyrus' twin sister, Amelia.
She didn't remember much about her, but knew she didn't like her at all. She could never figure out why Amelia held such hatred for her, she's never done anything to her. She did know she dated Amelia's crush when they were in high school, but she didn't know. Amelia wasn't popular and wasn't friends with her, no one told her. She only saw Amelia twice after finding out Cyrus was her mate. Both times the she-wolf would glare at her, but didn't say anything.
She frowned as her mind drifted to Cyrus. He was an amazing mate for a total of six months until after Amelia had visited. She had always suspected it was Amelia's fault that he had suddenly started to cheat on her. However, after a few weeks she knew it was his own choice to have sex with other women. She couldn't believe he would send out a letter to another alpha, asking for him to help find his mate.
She shook her head in disgust, refusing to allow the tears to fall. Deep down she still had feelings for her mate, still felt the connection somewhat. Sure, it had weakened to be point she wouldn't feel pain whenever he screwed another woman, but it was still there. She could feel that ache in her heart whenever she thought of him, but knew she wasn't in love with him. She was attracted to him, like a mate should be, but she didn't truly love him. If she did, then leaving wouldn't have been so easy. Would it?
