Chapter 21: Chapter 21

"Dimitri, open your damn eyes." She snapped after begging him six times.

He didn't open them though, instead, he shifted back. She looked up as his brothers ran over with shirts and shorts. She quickly threw on a shirt and flipped Dimitri onto his back. Once he was covered up she ran her fingers through his hair, tears ran down her cheeks.

Xander checked his pulse and frowned, his eyes lost their light as tears pooled into them. He slowly backed away and looked down, clenching his fists.

Rosalie started to cry, she already knew he was dead even before Xander checked. She cradled him, not caring about the blood soaking the shirt. Tears continued to run down her face as loud sobs escaped her lips.

"I love you." She whimpered as she held him.

She looked up as Catherine knelt beside her, she gave her a sorrowful look. "They have to take him away now."

Rosalie nodded quietly and gently laid him back down. She stood up and leaned against Catherine, Catherine wrapped her arms around her and hugged her.

"Dad!"

They all looked over to see Sage and Sara running towards them. Both girls stopped and stared at their father's pale and limp form. Rosalie walked over to them and pulled them into a hug as they cried. After a while they slowly walked over to his body and knelt beside him.

Sage bent down and hugged him, she then kissed him on the cheek. "I love you, daddy." She whispered.

Sara then hugged him as well, "I love you." She whimpered.

Sage gently pulled her sister away as a few pack members grabbed his body. The girls looked at Rosalie who was crying silently, they ran over and hugged her.

"You're all we have left of a parent." Sage whispered.

Rosalie smiled sadly at her, "I swear I'll be the mother you two never had." She murmured.

After a while they walked into the packhouse and helped clean up. It took them until ten at night to clean everything up. Once they were done they all showered and went to bed.

Rosalie crawled into the bed and laid down, she laid on Dimitri's side and breathed in his scent. She started to cry more when she felt someone climb into the bed. She looked up to see Sage and Sara giving her sorrowful looks.

She opened up her arms and pulled them into a hug. As they cried into her shirt she made a silent promise to try her hardest to protect them from a pain like this.

For the next two weeks Rosalie did her best to appear strong and happy before her pack. Every night the girls would sleep in the bed with her, all three of them cried each night. She felt dead inside, but she clung onto the small amount of memories she had of him.

The girls also put on a strong facade and helped clean up the training grounds. Her old pack refused to leave until they knew she was okay. After two days she finally convinced them to go home where her brother would be their alpha.

Rachel, Catherine, and Felicity took her out to lunch the one day. Along with the girls as a way to cheer them up. But they all knew that it was going to take time. They were mourning as well, the whole pack was. Neighboring packs came over and made food for the pack and repaired any damage in the house.

The news of Dimitri's death spread quickly, packs that once feared him were now allies. Her uncle came and apologized, at first Rosalie was cold towards him, but realized he didn't know. The pack and her new family forgave him as well, they even offered him a room to stay in.

Her uncle told her that he had joined Dimitri's father's pack when he was younger. He was the one who trained Dimitri constantly, that was how he knew his moves and how he could kill him. He apologized over and over again until the pack told him they forgave him.

The pack quickly found out Rosalie was their Luna and accepted her. She was grateful for them, not only did they accept her but they supported her as well.

She sighed as she flushed the toilet and brushed her teeth. She glanced at the small pregnancy test on the counter, tears rolled down her cheeks at the positive sign. She had no idea who to tell, but she knew she would have to soon.

She sighed and walked out to the bedroom and climbed into the bed. Not too soon after the girls climbed in and cried with her.

"Well, I can see there's no room for me."

Rosalie snapped her opens only be blinded by sunlight. She groaned and looked up once they adjusted, when they had she froze.

"You didn't think it would be that easy to get rid of me, did you?"

She rubbed the sleep from her eyes before looking again. Leaning against the door frame with a grin on his face was Dimitri. Across his chest were multiple scars and there was a small scar on his jaw, but that didn't make him less handsome. If anything, it made him hotter.

Rosalie ran off the bed and jumped into his arms, crying softy into his shoulder. He chuckled and wrapped his arms around her before kissing her on the head.

"Hey, baby girl." He murmured.

Rosalie woke up with a start, she frowned when she saw that he wasn't at the door. However, his scent stronger now. She sighed and ran her hand through her hair, tears rolled down her cheeks. That was her sixth dream of him, but this one had hurt the most.

Quietly, as to not disturb the girls, she crawled out of the bed. She quickly showered and got dressed before walking downstairs. She sighed as she grabbed an apple and took a bite of it. She ignored the pain in her heart, she couldn't keep doing this to herself.

She turned and walked outside to see Damon training a few guys.

She decided to sit on the patio and watch, hoping it would take her mind off of him. She frowned when she got a whiff of his scent, it only caused more pain in her heart. After a while she gave up and walked back inside, she threw away the apple before walking to Dimitri's office.

She sighed as she looked at the different drinks in his cabinet. She then walked over to the bookshelf and looked at the titles of each book. She let out a shaky breath when she felt a sob trying to break free.

"Snooping around?"

She sighed for what felt like the hundredth time. "Damon, not now."

"You're crying."

She smiled sadly, "Well, this happens when you lose the man who owns your heart. Your voice is oddly deeper, did you hit puberty?"

"Rosalie..."

"Damon, go away."

She froze when he wrapped his arms around her waist, almost immediately sparks exploded wherever he touched and Dimitri's scent engulfed her.

"Darling, I can assure you, I'm not Damon."
